Hey my High school choir is traveling to Toronto, Canada to compete on May 10th - 13th blaugh and I wanted to know where everybody else was going with their choirs?
When we compete:
Our Attire consists of...
Girls- Different colored poodle skirts (that are being mad by my mother xp ), A white shirt, and white shoes, and some small other accessories.
Poodle Skirt colors:
Seniors: Hot Pink
Juniors: Neon Green
Sophomores razz urple
Freshman (thats me xp ): dark blue
Boys- Dark blue jeans with a white shirt and they are undecided on shoes.
Our songs consist of...
Rockin Robin
We Go Together
Lullaby by Billy Joel - Girls piece
For The Longest Time - Guys piece
and i think we are singing another one but I'm not sure we practice different music all the time to try different things.

AWESOME!
Well, So far. The Advanced show choirs in my school have gone to Orlando, Florida for FAME Orlando. (we are in cali) and the have also been to a few other competitions in cali.
The Intermediate show choirs in my school have so far gone to Los Alamidos, Cali and to Hart High School in Cali.
All of our show choirs are going to a competition in Chula Vista, Cali for SoCal. YAY! that's April 21 for the Intermediates and April 28 for the advanced and mens division.

My Choir is working on submitting a CD to Carnegie Hall for their National High School Festival thing next year. If we are selected, that is where we will be going! mrgreen On our CD we recorded Sun Up Rising in the Morning (don't know the composer offhand sweatdrop ) and O Magnum Mysterium by Robert Shaw, which we actually can pull off this year.

About 2 weeks our Aavanced, Chamber, and Jazz choir came back from Hawaii
And last week our Show Choir went to Disneyland.

um, that would be Toronto, Ontario, Canada. No one ever says Boston, USA.
Our University choir is touring the lower mainland of BC this year, meaning we'll be spending most of a week in the Greater Vancouver area.
For our evening concerts, we always wear formal concert attire -- men: white shirts with ties, black slacks and dress shoes, ladies: black nylons and dress shoes, both with robes over top. For the performances and workshops we do with highschools we always wear our tour tshirts with blue jeans.

We went to Music In The Parks at Busch Gardens this year.

um...well I forgot what they took. but it sounded amazing...
We wore our choir shirts and jean shorts, capris, or jeans to perofrm in because we were going to Busch Gardens right after.

Our chambers went to Hawaii and got second, but beat our rival school^^ My choir, the inter/adv women's choir took second in classical and a gold in showchoir ('cause we were the only ones gonk ) in Seattle. TThe only bad thing about taking our show to cool faraway places is that our director won't take our boxes on planes 'cause one broke once..but next year we're going to San Francisco in a bus, so we can have boxes^^ yay.
