Mondo'a is the Expanded Universe (Star wars) language of the Mandolorians. If you have played any of the EU Games i'm sure you have run into them.

Karen Traviss Created the language based on the Lyrics in the songs made for the Republic commando Game. She Used the Created language in her book series from the same name.

Mando'a Follows A SVO pattern is First and foremost a Spoken language. It is easily written, but as most of the Words express Abstract concepts that are defined by Context.....it can be confuseing to record things.


For instance: There is only the one Gender Article; Vod.
Vod Could mean Brother, Sister, Comrade, Mate


The biggest thing about Translateing something from English to Mando'a is that first the English text must be Translated into something similar to E-Prime


This makes it easier when used Words like "Cuyir" Which translates as "be, Exist"


In Mando'a:
Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc. ni partayli, gar darasuum
Pronounced:
nee soo-Coo-yee, gar keer-ahdeesh, nee partie-lee, gar dah-rah-soom
What it means:
[I'm still alive, but you are dead. I remeber you, so you are Eternal]
Literal Translation:
I still exist, you dead. I Remeber, You Eternal

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! A STAR WARS LANGUAGE!!!! MUST LEARN!!!! (total star wars kid...a-heh... sweatdrop )
