Ok, I got bored so I decided to make an FAQ. It won't be based on any order really. But I'll eventually have everyone in here. If you'd like to contribute I'd appreciate it.
Characters
YoungLink
My character of choice. A mix of speed, power and, milk.
Weight: A little under normal weight
Height: The size of a kid, a little short
Speed: Fast
Jump: He jumps pretty good
Strength: Not to big. But is strong.
Stage: Hyrule Temple
Kirby
A common favorite. He may be pink, but he'll beat the crap outta you.
Weight: He's a puffball! Really Light!
Height: Short
Speed: Fast
Jump: Not too good, but he can float, making his jump awesome
Strength: Not strong, unless he copies certain characters
Stage: Fountain of Dreams
Mario
"It's-a-me, Mario!"
Weight: Average
Height: Little under normal
Speed: Average
Jump: Average
Strength: He is well-rounded, so his hit aren't super strong, but he hits fast
Pikachu
Aww... it's so cute... AAAHHHH!!!!
Weight: Low
Height: Man he is short!
Speed: FAST!!!!!!!
Jump: Pretty good
Strength: Weak, but hits fast
Bowser
Many people have been waiting to be bowser
Weight: HEAVY
Height: TALL
Speed: SLOW
Jump: he can't jump that good
Strength: POW!!!!!
Tips
Link and YoungLink can use their hookshot to grab the edge. A surprising comeback.

I am too lazy to figure this out on my own. Which of the characters can jump off wall indefinatly? I know young link can but who else?

Pikachu is much stronger than pichu, and young link has very few things better than link.

Blade Dancer I am too lazy to figure this out on my own. Which of the characters can jump off wall indefinatly? I know young link can but who else? Mario, samus, fox. Those are three I know for sure

I don't think mario can jump more than three times but I may be mistaken.

falco_lombardi does anyone know of a course thats good to practice wall jumping?i dont need the practice i jus wanna know I find it fairly easy to wall jump at Hyrule Temple. The gap into the lower area has plenty of big and small walls to practice on.

Differences between Pikachu & Pichu and Link & Young link
Pikachu's thunder and Link's up-B move hit your opponent and flings them away.
Pichu's thunder and Young Link's up-B move traps your opponent in the attack doing multible damage

Jigglypuff
The cute little puffball pokemon... On a mission of EVILNESS!!!
Weight: Probaly the lightest charecter in the game.
Height: Big in width, perfect for her sleep attack. When she ducks down low though, she can pretty much avoid any shots.
Speed: Average, you shouldnt run too much with Jigglypuff though.
Jump: Wee! I'm flying!!!!
Strength: Weak, but her special attacks make up for it.
Stage: Poke Floats.
General Stargety (Sp?) One word for Jigglypuff: Crowds. Jigglypuff is traditionaly weak one on one, but when you got more then 1 person against you, Jigglypuff will probaly be the wild card to most people's bets. Generaly, Jiggy's regular attacks will do small to average amounts of damage, her smash attacks are a above average. But Like I said before, her special attacks are well, special. Lets review, shall we?
B: Rollout: Like every other charge-up-and-use-yourself-like-a-missle move, except you can change direction halfway or near the beginning. The only other char that can do that is Yoshi. Its perfect for catching one off guard. They doage, you change direction.
B -> (Or <-): Pound: A pretty good (And basic) move where Jigglypuff punches the target and the target goes up in the air. Perfect for combo starting.
B ^ (Up): Sing: Jigglypuff well, sings. It makes the target sleep for like, 2, 3 tenths of a second?. In order to counteract Jiggly's floating abilty to becoming too biased twords the puffball, they replaced the B up attack with something less useful. Of course, this doesnt mean that the move is useless, its very useful. Lets say, a guy is charging at you, you press B^ and you before they wake up, pound them, then mutilate them.
B Down: Rest: Jiggly just sleeps, useless? not quite. Jiggly's sleep attack is probaly one of the best in the game if used right, of course (Personaly, I've beaten The showdown with her using only that attack). Basicly, when Jiggly turns to sleep, anyone in the way of her gets knocked out with the force of a smash baseball bat. This is perfect move for 4 player melees, go in the middle of the group and pop the move, everyone but you would be like WTF? and stuff. This move sorta works one on one battles too. If you jump and do rest ona target's head, theres a 50-50 chance that it'll hit. This move is good. Real good.

Kirby
A small pink fluffball that packs a strong punch.
Weight: Super lightweight. (hes a pink marshmellow)
Height: Short. Flat when ducking
Speed: Fast
Jump: Individual jump is sad but he has 5 jumps so he has the best vertical jump in the game (his horozontal is only beaten by peach)
Strength: Very strong compared to his rank. Has many powerfull moves and has the abality to steal moves
B attacks*
B: Eat. Swollows an opponent and can eather swollow them or spit them out by spitting them out you can hit opponents or spit them off the edge. Pressing down swollows them and will steal their plain B attack will a slightly lowered effect for most characters. (never eat pichu)
^B: Sword. Very strong attack for hevyweight and lower characters and can do a 4 hit combo has a great vertical.
< or > B: Hammer: A strong attack that hits front and back off kirby. Does lots of damage but leaves the top of your head vuranable.
vB: Rock. You will turn into 1 of 3 hevy objects pink rock, grey rock, or Thwinp. does alot of dame to evything straight down from you and makes you completly invurnable to all atacks for a second. This does have a small downside because h can move and u get hit when you come out of the move and can fall to your death in brinstar.
Grab moves:
Grab and ^: Slam. you fly with your opponent into the air and land them on their head this is ment for genaral use.
Grab and backwards: body slam. Picks them up and slams them on the ground for good damage but most ppl can break out if they have more then 100% damage.
Grab and Forward: Frontflip: Does a frontflip and (same as Bodyslam)
Grab and down: Dance. throws them down stomps them then falls on them
Weekness: most characters have a weekness character kirby happens to be Fox Falco and C falcon. Very high speed is bad for kirby because he recoup as well as most others can.
Stage: Fountain of Dreams. Similar to battlegrond but the left and right move up and down at diffrent times.
