Ian wandered through the jungle deep in thought. He hadn't left recently, all he had needed to survive was in the trees. Food, company, happiness.
But today he was lonely. He wanted to know how all his old friends were. He hadn't seen Amaya, Ambrose or anyone for awhile and he hoped they were doing okay. It wasn't their fault, it was his. He had practically disappeared from everywhere. Maybe he would go to the cafeteria and treat himself to a few apples later.
Leaves crunched beneath his hooves as he entered a clearing, he caught the sound and stopped. His instincts told him that making noise was the best way to get caught by a predator. Not even his human mind could stop that thought, so he continued, placing his feet carefully as to not make any noise.
He wasn't animal enough to walk on all fours decently, but his bulky chest made him somewhat hunched as he wandered through the jungle. He sighed and grabbed a leaf for a quick snack, eying the jungle around him. It wasn't a place he was too familiar with, he wasn't quite sure which direction the duplexes were from here.

Victor was still unnerved and frightened by the prospect that he had been 'buzzed' by the labs and held up in there for months... with who knows what being done to him while he's been unconscious.
That was probably the most frightening thing.
Not Knowing.
He hadn't seen or noticed anything different about himself, Other than the obvious mutations that he's undergone, and got out of his duplex, it was dusty and cold in there, he needed to get out and get some fresh air and Sun.
But when he did head outside, and he didn't see any of the other islanders that he's met to try and talk to them about what was going on. Victor did want to talk to someone about it, but if there was nobody up and about...
The Lizardman huffed to himself and headed off towards the jungle, down a path and pushing though the underbrush, determined to get himself to the beach where he could relax.
In his gloomy mood, and fast moving pace Victor failed to see a tricky group of rocks and roots at the base of a tree stretching over the path, causing Victor to trip and fall forward onto his chest, letting out a loud bark of pain and cursed to himself as he tried to gather himself up and check himself over

Ian heard the cry of pain and forgetting all about the prospect of predators went running. But he stopped suddenly when he saw what had made the noise.
"Whaaaaaaaaa!"
What was that thing? Definitely not any creature that Ian had known existed. He took a step closer, against his better judgement.
"Uh. . ." who knows, this creature might have been human once, but Ian couldn't really tell. An ear twitched and Ian knew he should say something, the guy was hurt. That much was clear, and Ian ought to help, he knew this jungle.
"You okay?" He still stayed a little bit away from the creature. Just in case and such.

Victor's head snapped around when he heard the 'Whaaaaa!' coming from beside him, his tail lashing behind him as his eyes studied this..Deer person that had just screamed.
"I wasss doing alright until I fell down and you had to sssceam like that"
The Lizardman's frown deepened as he looked back at the tangle of roots and started to try and pull his leg free, grunting to himself as he started to twist it to the side to get it out, he probably sprained his foot, it was still tender

Ian was a bit taken aback. If the lizardman had seen himself for the first time he likely screamed.
"Sorry," mumbled Ian creeping closer. "I've just never seen anyone like you. Let me help"
Ian looked at the root. It seemed like it could be easy to break, since Ian had a deers muscles now. He gripped it in one had and yanked, hoping this would free the lizard.

"Itsss alright, Anyone that meetsss me Usssually haven't ssseen anyone like me" Victor said as he watched Ian come closer and then pull on the root, helping Victor free his trapped foot, the lizardman pulled back, sitting back to look at his foreleg, it hurt but not too much he couldn't walk.
"Thanksss....." Victor stopped for a moment, looking at Ian with a sigh
"I'm Victor by the way"

Ian nodded, glad that Victor was being nice. Not that Ian had been nice before, he was surprised is all.
"My name is Ian. Pleased to meet you." Ian paused. Should he ask, or just leave it as is.
It was barely noticable - the pause, so Ian continued speaking "Is your leg alright?"

The lizardman grumbed a bit to himself as he rubbed the leg with his chest arms and checked it out. " Guesss itss nicse to you too Ian...and my leg ssseemss fine"
Victor set his foot down and put some of his weight down on it, giving a small hiss of pain, it hurt still, but wasn't too bad "I'll live anyway, probably ought to get sssome icsse on it later, but sshould be fine for now"

Ian smiled a bit. It had been awhile before he had the benefit of ice packs or stuff. The consequences of living in the jungle.
"Are you new around here?" By new Ian meant around 6 months, since he had begun living in the forest and seeing no one. Victor did look pretty far in his changes. "I've been here for. . ." he paused. He had woken up in his duplex this morning, and everything said it was August. "I've been here for 2 years."

"Not ssso new, been around a while now, been trying to keep track how long been around but woke up thisss morning and everything wassss all ssscrewed up, calender on my laptop sssaid end of march, and then thisss morning it wasss Augussst 29th... Ssso I don't know whatsss going on"

"Yeah, my calendar said it was August too. I don't remember anything past around March. . .or was it February. I've been living in the jungle, so when I woke up was my first time back in my duplex since January." The deer shrugged. "Whats four months when we are stuck here forever anyway? I just want to know what happened during those months, otherwise I am not worried."

"Whatsss four monthsss? They kept me knocked out for the whole time and I don't know what they could have done to me while I wasss in their labsss...I'd be plenty worried if alot more people had to deal with the sssame thing"
Victor sat back, looking at Ian "Have you finissshed changing then sssence you've been here ssso long?"

Ian pondered for a moment. "I guess your right. Emerwyn was in the labs too" He forgot the Victor might not know Emer, "But I'm not sure who else has been in the labs. And I think I am done changing." Ian paused thinking about Ambrose and Colche and how many changes they had gone through. "Yeah, I have finished changing.
"How many times have you changed?"

"Twice....been though it two timesss sso far and doessssn't ssseem like itsss going to get any better" Victor hissed quietly to himself as he shook his head.

Ian nodded slowly. "Be prepared to change twice more. I changed four times. So did two others I know." He looked at the lizard a little more carefully, visualizing how bad he would look in the end based on the extra limbs.
"We can always hope it doesn't get any worse."
