{the child of empires}
name Eirene "peace" Eirene is the name of the greek goddess of peace, and the name of an 8th century Byzantine empress, who was the first woman to rule that empire. Originally she was the regent of her infant son, but later had him killed and ruled alone.
{basics} gender female spirit empire skin tone olive-ish tan hair black, with a golden streak along the left side of her face eyes white distinguishing marks her legs, from knees down, are tinted pale pink with a gradient down to a brownish red (as a reference to the fact that many empires are built on the body of the old rulers). Her fingernails seem to be made of obsidian, which was prized during the ages before steel for its ability to be made into strong and nearly unbreakable weapons. A golden ridge runs along her hairline, rather like a coronet.
{personality} Eirene would have been a glorious empress if she actually had empires to rule. Her will to dominate is nearly inexhaustible, which is an excellent thing, since she wants to rule everything she sees. With Eirene, it's not just that she has to rule. She has to rule. And not just a couple of things; it has to be everything. In obtaining something she wants, she can be cruel and ruthless. Once her current target has capitulated, she cares for the object or person or place as if it were her own life. But if the focus of her affections doesn't acknowledge that it belongs to her, she can get very irritated and abrasive very quickly.
It's not that she's sociopathic. She cares a lot about people. It's just that she thinks no one knows how to take care of themselves without her babysitting them every single moment of their waking lives. The world is a giant chess board, and Eirene is the grand master of the whole game.

{the child of empires}
name Misericorde Lavoiser "sword of mercy" A "misericorde" is a variety of stiletto. It was a long, narrow knife, used in medieval times to deliver the death stroke (the mercy stroke, hence the name of the blade, derived from the Latin misericordia "mercy") to a seriously wounded knight. The blade was thin enough so that it could strike through the gaps between armour plates.
{basics} gender female spirit humanoid skin tone sheet white with a tint of gray hair platinum blone with brownish roots eyes gray distinguishing marks a pale blue gem set into the skin of her chest, over her breastbone
{personality} Misericorde is bitter and snappish. Unlike her brother, who is always smiling, she is usually sneering. It's been remarked that she seems like a human wolf, which is a pretty accurate description. She preys on the weak, especially the wounded, and never gives the warning shot across the bow. It's always straight for the jugular.
However, this befits the meaning of her name: the "sword of mercy" often sounds cruel, but to the knights whose suffering ended because of a misericorde, it was an angel. She tries to toughen people up since she senses emotional pain the same way her brother Matsuo senses physical pain.
Really, she's a very selfish girl.
