Fresh blood matted the muzzle of the fiery beta as his jaws were wrapped around the neck of a small fawn whose carcass was still fresh and rich with both meat and fat. His ears that were riddled in metal piercing and rings flickered- shifting forwards and to the side while his tail, giving the illusion as if it was on fire, rose within the air to show his dominance and rank. Although he was a wolf who was run out by his own alpha who he had served under, Tasubaa still held his dignity and his right for the rank that he had earned. For it was jealously, malice and hatred that had caused his alpha to turn against him and order for his disposal.
But with being a wolf whose skills were evolved around tactics of fighting, brute strength and raw skills that have been forged with the training for bloodlust and the constant yearning to revolt and even, if the situation permitted it, to vanquish those who stood in his way.
But the warrior didn't escape from his former alpha so easily- Valen had taken something from him that he could never regain.
Valen had taken away his left eye.
Curse him!
Where his eyes once resided, a scar overlaps from his upper brow and down to his lower lid and as his eye perminently remans closed a strange, green glow emitting from the regions where it remains open. He was strange- he was different. He was Tasubaa.
Keeping a crushing grip upon the neck of the carcass, Tasubaa prowled within the shadows as the soft clinking of his braclets upon his paws tingled and rang softly as he stalked within the darkness, searching for something- a place to wander, somewhere he could reside by himself and eat his meal without a disturbance.

It was hard to saw what drove Shanti's life these days. She was like a living shadow, drifting in and out with the flickering of the sun's rays. And there was never any warning. For all other creatures lived in a different world then she-one of sound. She defied this world unknowingly, her voice a forgotten use of her body. So when she came this time there was no sign-except for the flapping of crow's wings.
Her companion flew overhead and disapeared and there she stood, perched high in the shadows of the branches. Her red eyes glowed like a flame in the dark, wide and seeing. Perhaps it was the scent of blood that had called her. Or perhaps it was something else. Whatever it was, she peered down at the familiar wolf and his kill in silence. The silence that rang in her name.

A gentle breeze rustle the boughs above- leaves chattering softly and whisping his rather odd course mane upon his back and his shards of spikes that adorned his head. The month that had passed was brutal, unforgiving and had caused his heart to be contained within a barrier of ice and brooding hatred. He had become a mentor for a dark pup- sharing the secrets of the warrior and how to be assertive and stand against those who ever dared to oppose a rebel.
But even as the deepest darkness abided within his heart, he had grown rather fond of the kid but he would never admit it.
Shaking his head with a minute grin tucked within the corner of his maw, Tasu held tight to the kill he desperately clenched within his jaws and padded off to where faint light trickled in from the boughs above and settled upon his stomach.
Releasing his grasp from the small fawn and just as his maw was ready to mercilessly tear into it once again, he stalled.
A strange sensation washed over him and his single eye darted about, searching for something, someone. The sensation as if he was not alone was present; he could feel his fur stand on end upon his neck as his metal claddd ears flickered and pinned against his skull. Snorting, the male growled low, paying no attention, and began to feast upon the meal in front of him.

Had she been here on some other business it could have been a horrible mistake for Tasubaa to ignore his intuition. Not that it was surprising that she wasn't spotted-Shanti lived her life with unconcious actions of stealth. While she didn't always hide herself, it was rare for her to ever be obvious in her approuch. It was just how she had been bred. She was a woman of secrecy, due to her mother's legacy. She shifted silently on her branch and decided to, at last, decend.
The motion was too smooth and quick to follow, however, for within a heartbeat she stood opposite the brooding male. She was still for a moment, as if perhaps uncertain that he'd see her. She remained motionless for the present, her eyes staring at him with their bright red hue.

The taste of raw meat and fresh blood tantilized his mouth and his perceptions had seemed so unimportant. He even knew he was a fool for taking such an intuition so lightly but hunger was driving the warrior to unfathomable thinking- one that was sparatic and driven to eat.
His ears fell against his head as the sensation returned once more but this time stronger.
"Damn.."
Voraciously gnawing upon the decased fawns leg, Tasubaa furrowed his brows as this wasn't the time for him to find himself within a scuffle as, miraculously, he wasn't in the mood to have to shed any blood.
Hell, he was tired! Couldn't he just eat?
A low growl emitted from his throat as he rose to his paws. "What business do you have with-" his gruff, deep voice suddenly halted as his single eye rose to meet bright red hues, those familiar bright red eyes he knew all too well. A rather intriuged and small smirk tucked at the corner of his maw.
"Well, well, well. What a surprise...haven't seen you in a while, Shanti."

Shanti offered a small smile, her tail gently swaying to the side in a greeting. Her eyes lost their sharp look and seemed to relax, as if they were their own being who had decided the situation was safe. She tilted her head slightly, peering at her fellow wolf with a question in her expression. What had he been up to? Word never left her maw, but she conversed in her own way. It was up to others to understand her. He had before, with a little difficulty at first, so why wouldn't he now? They hadn't met for some time, but hopefully time hadn't washed away communication.
And...hopefully it hadn't washed away feelings either.

A warm, although small, smile curled up upon his maw as he sat himself upon his haunches while his single eye rested upon her. How long had it been since he had last seen her? Too, too, long.
Shifting weight from his forepaws as his anklets clinked softly, Tasu knitted his brows together as she began to ask her silent questions. From the time he had been away- off and about wandering, the beta had at least improved his ability to read body language and intepretation had become a bit easier. But he still had his difficulties.
Hey, no one was perfect.
Pursing his lips, the warrior flicked his ears as he intook a deep breath.
"I've been trying to take care of a few," his brows knitted as his mouth twitched to the side, "problems. And I did play "mentor" to a pup for a while but he's off on his own. Life has been- bland."
He shrugged his shoulders. There wasn't much else to tell.
"I assume you've been lurking around and taking care of business, right?"
Business?
His ears flattened against his head for a moment. What a great way to start off- but there still was an item of business that continued to lurk at the back of his mind.
But for now, he pushed it aside.

Shanti felt odd, listening to a voice again. It had been a long time since she had had a conversation. She supposed she'd never get used to listening to another when she didn't speak the same way. It was like a artist trying to write music. It didn't always work out so well. But this chat they were having was easy enough. Or at least...easy enough to understand. If not to talk about.
Her ears flicked back uncomfortably. She was not in her trained mindset of present and therefore the subject of...business was not a pleasent one. Despite how odd it might seem, she, unconciously, kept her two selves separate. Bringing them together was unpleasant. She rolled her shoulders in a shrug and gave a small nod, which told him that he was correct but there was little to tell. Or little she would tell.

It felt strange to see her again; an unpredicted and rather unexpected surprise that had seemed to grip his heart and cause him to feel relaxed but a strange sensation continuing to lurk in the back of his mind and slowly work its way to his heart, making it skip a beat and causing such odd feelings. It was the same feelings that stirred within him when he first met her.
But why were they making it hard to think, hear or even talk? Tasubaa felt dumb and these strange feelings were certainly different and made him feel weak. And that never settled well.
The fiery male nodded his head, his single eye blinking as the other one remained sealed with the scar from his former alpha while the eerie, green hue seeped from it. "We all have our dealings that we'd never tell a soul," he commented, grasping on the idea and logic that it certainly was something that she could explain, besides the fact that having to explain something with detail would be complex without words.
"I know the feeling."
Shaking his head and scuffling his paws upon the ground, Tasu looked away as he bit down on his lower lip.
Thoughts. Feelings. Emotions.
They were conflicting him and all at the same time!
Drawing hs focus back on her, Tasubaa wagged his tail behind him. "It's good to see you again. I've....missed you."

At his last comment Shanti seemed to relax, even if he was speaking verbally. His tail wag, however, what had really calmed her. It had been a while and she hadn't been sure how he would react to seeing her again. After all, he had tried to convince her of certain things in their last meeting but...she hadn't completely understood them. She still didn't. But she had thought about them a bit. And it wasn't his sweet words she remembered, but instead his looks and touches of affection.
Now things felt a little...less strange. She opened her mouth in a cheerful smile, letting her ears perk forward with attention and her tail wag and few more times. It was her way of saying she had missed him too. Very much.

Watching her posture and overall appearance seem to relax, Tasubaa continued to sway his tail gently behind him as he nodded his head while his tapered, jagged bangs that hung in a punk fohawk style swaggered and swept to the right of his eye.
Tension that once seemed to hold him back faded as his shoulders relaxed, falling with a rejuvinated sense in comfort. Her display of a cheery smile made his own stretch farther across his maw while his tail thumped upon the ground.
His heart began to beat uncontrollabley within his chest- his ears perking forward as he couldn't stop looking at her.
There had always been something so mysterious about her- she was, herself, a world of mystery and curiosity. But there had been something about her, her way of conveying emotion within him without ever having to use words. He clenched his jaws together as his brows knitted.
Should he say something else to convey the feelings? Perhaps they had left..or perhaps they never had?
As an inner battle surged within him, Tasubaa shook his paws and rose to his paws. He had made up his mind by himself. Slowly padding towards her as a soft rumble rose from his chest, the fiery male delicately with a tender gesture brushed his muzzle against the side of her cheek.
Actions spoke louder than words.

This was what she understood. The verbal promises and woos had only brought her confusion and uncertainty the last time around. But as he started with actions first, her language, she understood right away. For her body was reacting too. She could feel her heart pounding in a sort of excitement, as if it were a butterfly in her chest. She felt her ears fall back coyly, letting out a silent breath of content at his touch. She then leaned her own head against him, nuzzling her nose into the long and coarse fur of his neck. She felt her tail pick up a rhythm as it swished. Being so close to him she could feel how relaxed he was and she could sense his actions so much better. And she was filled his his scent, which was a lingering smell she hoped to never banish. She might not understand the word "love" or what one would explain it to involve. But she understood these feelings they were displaying and feeling together.

Touch, sense, smell- these were much better sensations, more could be conversed than words could ever describe.
His heart continued to race as his tail continued to sway- swishing within the air with the commencement of such strange yet invigorating feelings that coursed powerfully throughout his veins. But as his display was reciporcated, Tasubaa seemed to feel as if his very breath withdrew from him as he pressed his muzzle and his face at her shoulder. He couldn't help but intake her scent- a scent that was wild, one that drove his senses crazy and made him experience a rush of adrenaline, a rush of emotions and a rush of other sensations that, once again, words could never fully comprehend nor explain.
She felt the same way, he felt the same way.
The very emotions he was uncertan whether or not to display were in full cirlce.
A soft rumble from his chest sounded as he nuzzled into her. He was more than content, more than happy and satisfied.
Tasubaa just- couldn't find any words on how to explain it.

And Shanti was glad he had none, for she quite prefered it this way. Words were good for those who spoke, but to her...at least in a time like this they were cluttersome. The silence rang more true to their emotions then any words could have. She smiled and leaned her smaller frame against him, passing a small lick right beneath his jaw. Everything she was doing right now was on impulse, for she had no experience. But when your life was lived through touch a good portion of the time...things like this came instinctively and as naturally as the flow of water.

For once, the old saying of "silence of golden" was ringing true.
Feeling her leaning into him, Tasubaa's eyes held a deep affection, a great love for the mysterious wolfess. It was strange, still, but he had no control over himself. It was instinct and these new emotions that softened his heart and had broken him down. Her touch, her scent- everything about her was making him lose himself.
As she planted a small lick beneath his jaw, Tasu rumbled softly as he gazed int her eye and returned the display as he graced her maw with a small kiss.
Tasubaa had never felt such emtions before and, for being a warrior whose life was centered upon battles, bloodshed and the occassional "dirty deed", the fiery male had never known that such feelings, such sensations existed in the world. It was so foreign but there were sparks and a birth to a differnt wolf within that embraced such emotions, a wolf who was driven by instincts and unstoppable drive although what he was after was beyond him.
Relaxed and at ease, he could feel the feelings yearning to intense and become deeper. Pressing into her and easing her down upon the forest floor within the shadows, Tasubaa lay with her.
The wolf within became the ringleader in this explosion of emotions while words were no longer of worth and blind desire was leading both away into something that neither knew of what would befall them within the silence of the shadows.
