My DL got invited to a formal occassion to perform, and our band teacher sent me and a few others to go search for something affordable, comfortable, but somewhat formal for our DL to wear. This being my first year, I don't know what most drumlines wear when performing other than MB uniforms or casual t-shirts and jeans. xDDD

What have some of you guys worn to "formal" occasions?

We usually wear things like Tuxs or just the Pants and White shirt with a Bow Tie. 3nodding

we usually wear our marching uniforms to preform, but you could always just do concert attire. (White shirt, black pants and shoes.)

You might want to ask some of the others what they plan on wearing. They may already have an outfit, or at least a color scheme to go by. For the symphonic band concerts at my last college, the it was usually a white button-up shirt or a black button-up shirt (usually the band as a whole picked it out beforehand, but the percussion made sure to wear the same color for sure, as some band members dressed up, but weren't quite uniform) and some dress pants and shoes. So yeah, best bet is to see what everyone else is wearing. Not saying people here are wrong, but the line may have something picked out already.

oh, the overall band is new thats why he wants us to look for something uniform for us to wear.

He doesn't want us to wear button up shirts and s**t because our DL does alot of moving so it has to be "comfortable" clothing.

Usually some of the parents make up the uniform, but if not:

sweatpants and a matching Tshirt
