My friend and I just had the most lovely summer fruits cake in a little cafe about 10 minutes walk away from us, I tell you that cake should have had wings, it was divine.
The cake was made with a thin layer of sponge and then a thick layer of fruits, it was very tangy with what I think was a lot of rasberry. It also had a small circle of sponge on the edge of the slice at the top. Sounds yummy right? It was!
We were too shy to go and ask for the recipie, and I cant seem to find one on google right now, but I shall try again later, either way I would like to know if anyone knows a good recipie for it? I would like to make some and surprise my friends with a few slices on no occasion. >w<
Also, what's your favourite type of cake?
Are there any other little foodstuffs I could make to surprise my friends with that you know of? ^_^

I love cheesecake. D: I dunno what I'd do without my Oma's apple cheesecake. D;
Hm. I also like this cake my mommy made the other day. It was like, vanilla with chocolate swirl, with pecans or walnuts or something inside. >w< It was so good, she topped it off with the powdery sugar [forgot the name of it for now].
And then her upside-down pineapple cake with walnuts... @w@ I was loving that last night.
I also LOVE. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE. D: OHMAIGOD. My mom put ice cream with it and mint whipped cream. Mint. Whipped cream. Ohmygosh. *.* It tasted like sugary heaven.

Dr. Pepper cake and strawberry short cake are my faves.
Although I always end up eating the strawberries before we even get to make the cake...
