RULES:
    • We both start off with 100HP, unless you have a Lore with special attributes.

    • Each successful attack will remove 10HP, unless you have a Lore with special attributes.

    • We will used the Random Number Generator 1-20 to determine hits.

    1-10 = Miss
    11-20 = Hit

    • With the Random Number Generator from 1-20, our first posts will determine who attacks first. Whoever gets the highest number gets the opportunity to attack first. Along with your first post, state your Hit Point Number, and any special attributes your Lore may have.

    • If you have specified special attacks for your Lore/character in your RP journal, link to it so that I can read it.

    • Please be clear and concise with your attack descriptions.

I will start with my first post. If I get the higher number from 1-20, I will attack first.

Anarel Silveredge
HP: 100
AP: -10HP

Special Attributes: None.

I don't really have any signature attacks, but I have specified certain weapons in my RP journal.

***

Anarel stood at the edge of the Coliseum, leaning with his shoulder against a tall pillar. Every now and then, gusts of wind would blow through the area, uplifting dust and debris from the Coliseum floor.

The only visible weapons on him were his dagger, Modi, that hung at his belt, and a quiver of silver arrows on his back.

(( I Shall battle you! BWAHAHHA.))

Character: Omie's Shadow (A shadow of Omie, since Omie is still chained up ;- wink
HP: 100
AP: -10

Special Attributes: Gravity (Able to manipulate it and control it)
Weapons: Glass Glaive

----+

As the wind blew through the seemingly empty coliseum, the sound of clinking, chiming glass could be heard through it. The tip of a clear, glass glaive cut through the dust, followed by its wielder.
The girl stood with empty eyes, raising the glaive to point at Anarel. A small smirk crossed her face, as if saying "You're next."

The dust which swirled by her from the wind parted from her in a circular motion. Though she seemed whole, there seemed to be something missing from her.

((*gasp* dun hurt me! @__@ ))

Anarel's lips parted at the sudden arrival at his would-be opponent. His ears picked up the delicate clinking in the air. It traveled mysteriously through the wind as it echoed.

He pushed off of the pillar with his shoulder in order to distribute his weight evenly among his feet. His eyes widened as his opponents weapon came into view...an exquisite glaive seemingly made of a glass-like material. He had seen many a weapon in his lifetime as a palace guard, but her weapon was of a form and structure foreign to him.

There was an odd air about her. Anarel could sense that much.

He tightened his jaw and did his best to hide his intimidation. His white layered clothing and chains chimed in with their own distinct clinking. He paused at her verbal threat, and thought of what to say in response. The first thing that came to mind was to at least say who he was.

"I am Anar from the Ancient City of Erudia." He clenched his jaw even more.

Anarel shifted Magni around on his back. He did not care if she introduced herself or not, but he intended to keep this duel civil on his part.

Witnessing the dust part before her at the simple wave of her weapon, Anarel realized this opponent may be a formidable one.

"Omie." was her only response. Slightly accented voice, but the accent was unidentifiable. Her feet brought her several steps closer, and as she stopped, the wind seemed to stop howling.
Without hesitation, Omie threw the glaive into the air, where it stopped high above her head, floating ominously, slowly rotating in place. The weapon literally shattered into many fragments of glass from the pressure of gravity she had put on it, and those pieces swirled in the air momentarily, before they came slicing downwards toward Anarel, a deathly rain from the heavens.

Omie.

The chains about his neck that were drifting in the wind suddenly fell limp against his chest as Omie suddenly paused her movement. His eyes widened.

She is of a different race. Not of Asgard.

He grabbed the hilt of Modi, but did not release it from its clasp on his belt. He stood and watched her, narrowing his eyes. Anarel needed to get a feel for how she handles herself.

He instinctively placed his right foot behind him as she began to wield her glaive. A crackling sound penetrated the eerie silence, and the glave shattered at a breakneck speed and the glaive's several jagged pieces glided toward him like a swarm of locusts.

Anarel opened his mouth to invoke protection magic, but overlooked the speed of the ferocious shards. The glass edges of each swam over his skin and clothing, producing deep cuts in their wake. He could feel each one as they sliced with precision.

"Grah..."

As the swarm of glass shards died down, Anarel found himself down on one knee, breathing heavy. Small trickles of blood ran down his tan skin, staining his white clothing from underneath.

What sort of magic was this?

He instinctively grabbed behind him, Magni's riser, and pulled the invisible long bow into position, while swiftly grabbing a single silver arrow from its quiver. He slung the arrow back and closed one eye, narrowing down his target.

"I am not certain of what type of creature you appear to be, Omie, but I have yet to see one that can withstand Ifreet's rage..." he said through his teeth.

Wispy tendrils of fire materialized around him, growing in ferocity and strength as they took life and began revolving around the shaft of his arrow. He nimbly released the fletching of the arrow, and it sped off at an unnatural speed, bringing with it a scorching torrent of liquid fire toward his female opponent.

As the flaming arrow sped toward her, the glaive's shattered pieces reformed themselves quickly, returning to her hand. The air around her seemed to ripple, and the arrow's velocity slowed until it came to a crawl in front of her.

Raising the polearm above her head, she sliced down through it. The flames seemed to wrap around the blade of the glaive before they diminished.

For a moment, her image seemed to waver, like the edge of a shadow shrinking from sunlight.

Taking her weapon in hand, she began a charge towards him, her feet barely touching the ground, the weapon held to her side.

((You didn't exactly finish your attack, so I'm assuming Omie is going to slash with her glaive. I can go back and change my action if it turns out that your attack is not a slash.))

An expression of astonishment flooded his face as he watched the flames dance around the glass blade and dissipate into thin air.

He narrowed his eyes and clenched his teeth.

Anarel got up from his knee and took a wide, firm stance. He didn't pick up on any footsteps, but he could see her charging at him at a blinding speed now, with her glaive at a deadly angle.

He quickly grabbed Modi from his belt and positioned it in front of him. He intended on meeting blades to hopefully reroute her attack to the side of him.

He pushed the dagger forward at a slant, but blood had trickled into his eye, and as he blinked it away, the glaive had gone underneath Modi's blade and striked him on at his side. Anarel was launched back into the Coliseum, skidding across the ground a few yards back.

Without wasting any time, he took hold of the ground with his palm, and pushed himself up to roll back onto his feet. As soon as his feet felt a firm surface, he reared back his legs and launched himself high into the air in Omie's direction. Once again, he positioned Magni, and swiftly produced two silver arrows from his quiver, strung them back, and quickly shot them at her simultaneously. They made a whizzing sound as they pierced through the air.

((I feel so bad for you, luck of the draw has been cruel to your random numbers D smile )

As those arrows sped towards her, Omie raised a hand in the air toward them. As before, they slowed and eventually stopped at her fingertips, hovering in the air a moment before clattering to the ground. She looked at them for a moment, before raising her head back up, a small smirk crossing her face. She wagged her finger in front of her and shook her head, as if to say "No no~".

The glass glaive dropped to her side, clinking against the ground almost melodiously.

"I want to be free." Finally she spoke an entire sentence, but her words were cold and fierce.

She extended her hands in front of her, the illusion of chains and cuffs upon her arms and legs barely visible, fading in and out of view. Her fingers twisted and gnarled, shaking a little as she summoned an area manipulation of gravity around him. It was difficult to control gravity, as easy as she may have made it seem. Usually she was unable to control it except for small portions, enough to slow things, or levitate them or herself. However, large portions of this were difficult and took a while to control, leaving her open while she worked it. ((Attack is turn after if I get a hitting number xD))

((I know. I'm super unlucky right now. neutral ))

Anarel didn't have to be taken away by how easily she thwarted his two arrows. A clinking sound rang throughout the Coliseum as the sharp arrows fell harmlessly to the floor.

He gasped as a sudden force took hold of him, pulling him down from mid-air. As he began falling to the ground, he instinctively grabbed Magni, flipping it around underneath him as he spun to face the ground below. As he came in contact with the ground so quickly, he used Magni's fashioned shield to press himself up against the ground. The force continued to pull him flat against the ground, but he pushed against it.

She bends gravity to her will?

Anarel gritted his teeth as he pushed himself at an angle to remove himself from the area where the manipulation of gravity was occurring. He rolled onto his side, only a few feet away from Omie. Her hands were in the air, occupied as they continued to control the force that once held him down.

He sprang up to his legs with Modi in hand and rammed the hilt into the direction of Omie's gut, intending to pommel it inward if it struck.

He wasn't sure of how impervious she was to physical damage, but he had no time to think in the few seconds he had recovered from her attempt to crush him against the ground.

(( 3?!?! This may take longer than expected. rolleyes Do you want me to change the hit and miss numbers? I'm okay with them. But if you aren't , they can be changed. 3nodding ))

((How about 1-10 = failed hits, 11-20 equal successful hits? Only into effect after you okay it though, so this post is like the old set you had XD wink )

Fingers shaking a little from the attempted gravitational smash, she only had but a few moments to maneuver away from Anarel's attempted stab. Her feet barely touched the ground, like a dance in the air. She landed atop one of the inner ring pillars that made up the coliseum, balancing lightly on it.

Her eyes closed and her head tilted up, an almost serene look on her face. Her lips seemed to move as if perhaps she were chanting. Her arms fell limp at her sides, raising slowly as if they floated on water, but there was none. Her hair did the same - obviously another gravity trick. Grains of dirt on the coliseum floor began to rise, swirling around Anarel. The cloud of dust thickened, and then parted, the silt dropping to the ground once more.

An illusion had appeared behind Omie - a large, dark blue stone slab to which chains and shackles bound her, with numerous seal tags that had symbols on them that translated to "Monster". The illusion blurred for a moment, and then vanished. In the serene quiet that followed the apparition, it was interupted by the sound of glass scraping against the ground.

Her Glass glaive, which she had left behind, she had beckoned, and it threatened to spear Anarel on its way back to her hand.

((Wow, you're like, really good at this random number thing. xd O.o;; Alright, the numbers have changed. Let's see what happens.))

Watching her glide high atop a Coliseum pillar, he immediately attached Modi back to its place on his belt and got down on one knee. He swiftly grabbed his longbow and slung an arrow into it, making sure the twining of the string was good and tight. He heard the limbs of the long bow crackle underneath the the pressure as the arrow tugged against it.

Sann.

He caught a glimpse of the mysterious apparition that faded from view, not knowing what it was, and not having the time even ponder what it was really. He closed one eye and narrowed down Omie in his sights.

The dust that had now fallen to the ground earlier had now took a life of its own once more as violent wind currents picked up and revolved around the shaft of the arrow. His white clothing and chains billowed violently in the currents as he held the arrow in place.

He angled upwards from his position on the ground and released the arrow's fletching. The arrow shot off at an incredible speed toward Omie, bringing with it a violent wind tunnel of dust and debris from the Coliseum floor. Since she was so high up, maybe the wind he summoned could blow her off of the Coliseum itself, Anarel reasoned.

A scraping sound was picked up by his ears as he watched the arrow speed off. He turned around and saw the speeding glaive from behind. He leaped to the side, but was short, and the long weapon manage to strike him on his side. Anarel was sent rolling and sprawling against the Coliseum floor.

((Why can't I have this kind of luck with other things? ;__ wink )

It was her mistake to stand atop such a high pillar, there was no where to turn without falling to avoid the arrow. Shifting to the side, she tumbled off the pillar, crashing down onto the ground. Her glaive smacked hard into the pillar top, embedding itself in the stone.

She stood up irritated, extending a hand to beckon her glaive. It shook slightly where it was embedded in the stone but refused to come out. Her image continued to fade in places, her energy wearing out. Since she was only a shadow of her normal self, it would only be too soon before she disappeared entirely. ((Think astral projection lol))

"Time is short." she mumbled, voice barely above a whisper. She extended an arm outward, the metal shackle upon her wrist gaining solidity, followed by a long and large chain attached to it. Picking the chain up with her other arm, she immedialty and heavily slammed it forward at Anarel, using it as a whip.
