Spring time was Sirius' least favorite and favorite season at the same time. The birds singing rang through his ears, but the smell of fresh grass was pleasant.
The gray stallion tredded quietly along the banks of the river, near the edge of the protective forest haven. Rarely did this stallion go past this river, but on occassion he ventured into the plains. Never did he step foot in the Kawani Village after being taken in by Soyala Taini.
He snorted, blowing a butterfly that had rested on his snout off. That was the most sensitive part of his body. His nose.
Tredding carefully over the slick rocks he made his way to the edge of the river. Sirius was merely entranced by these "Fish" that swam about in the water with no care in the world...except if they were going to live another day or become someone's dinner for an evening.

Caelen breathed deeply, the smell of spring made him quite content with his life. Things had changed radically lately, he had a herdmate - Lovey Dovey - who had a few issues but for the most part wanted to love everything and everyone, he had a human - a strange girl that clung to him.. and he allowed it.. She seemed to need someone that was kind when she came to him with purpled eyes or a colorful back.
He was standing silently beside a river, breathing deeply of the air around him and humming a bright tune. Caelen knew he was different from other stallions - his voice was different, his ethics, and if he did say so himself - he was much more handsome than some of the other odd looking creatures that could be found all over the place.
"Caelen, ye're gettin' soft from lack 'o a good fight, and ye're gettin' even softer in yer mind fer talkin' ter yerself!"
He dipped his nose into the water to splash and muss the perfect surface for a moment when the outline of another stallion in the water greeted his eyes.

Sirius looked up from his trance of the dancing fish to see a rather..green stallion.
He blinked once, twice. 'Am I seeing things, are my eyes playing illusions on my mind?' The last time Sirius had seen another Soquili had been in winter if his memory served him right and that was Glow Heart, a lovely mare.
This stallion knew he was different. He hunted...well, helped with hunting with his two-legger, Soyala Taini. By helping he meant, jumping infront of the prey and blocking exits for Soyala. He was different, people often commented on his golden eyes, more then his coloring of way of speech.
He breathed deeply, regaining his composure, "Talking to yourself is not a bad thing, it helps you keep in tune with your own soul." Often did he speak in riddles. Like rain, Sirius called them 'tears of the sky', and snow, 'frozen sky tears'. He was fairly sure it did irritate some soquilis, his way of speech.

Caelen stood up straight, looking up at him with assessing eyes. Every inch of Caelen was green in some way or other.. Save for the whites of his eyes, the whites of his teeth, and his tongue.
He had been told before by several lovely mares and his own two-legger that he was a most lovely thing. He was just fine with being lovely too. It got him all sorts of attention and that for the most part was nice. "Ye're nae imaginin' things. I'm standin in front of ye."
The only thing that Caelen ever hunted out was something to eat. Clovers were his favorite food to munch on. Having gotten sick many a times froma binge in a deep lush field. Fortunately or Unfortunately however one saw it in this land there wasn't an overload of clover so he couldn't do that all that often.
"Weel sonny-boy I nae thing talkin' ter meself has done much for me in the past save fer making others lookit me with an odd air." He shrugged.. it was a matter of differences but the question now was where to go with this stallion or if he was just passing by.. Hmm.
