March 30th, 07- This journal was opened!

**Just a little something to get you started. What you write in this journal is up to you, though it should involve you rping that you're interacting with your dragon. First though, you have to get your dragon. Write a little story/description of a dream you've had or just one you've made up. I'll read this and use it to design your dragon. Please, don't say anything about the dragon itself, just the dream. Once I post in here with your dragon, you're free to keep posting whatever you want.

I held the goblet in my hands, taking deep breaths to try and calm myself down. I stared deep down into the liquid, seeing a faint reflection of myself and the room I was in. Some steam rose up from the potion, and into my face. I took a deep breath and drank the contents of the goblet, feeling it run down my throat. I wiped my mouth a little, and set down the goblet, already feeling tired. I smiled and closed my eyes. I've always dreamed of dragons.

I open my eyes again. It is black all around me. I can't see a thing. I close my eyes again, and open them, hoping that something has changed. But it hasn't. It is still pitch black. There is nothing there, I am simpley floating in this cloud of darkness. Something must have gone terriblely wrong! I'm so frightened, I don't know what to do. I know that good dreams attract good dragons, and bad dreams attract bad dragons. But what about dreams of nothing?

Suddenly, a shining orb of pure white light is falling down. It is brighter than anything I've ever seen. I breath a sigh of relief, and run to it, hoping to catch it. Is it a falling star? I reach out my arms and I take it. As soon as I touch it, the most wonderful feeling of calm and peace washes over me, taking away all doubt. With it disappears the nothingness. It creeps away, like a flock of startled birds.

I'm now in a moonlight valley. The white light is spreading underneath my feet, like a pearly fog. I stare around me in amazement. A full moon beams above me, I can see a thousand stars twinkling, more than I have ever seen. The grass is a rich blue-green, and has a fragrant earthy smell. A round pool to my right reflects the sky perfectly. I look down at the light again, and to my surprise, it begins to lift me. Startled, I fall down.

Like a flash, the white light under me is speeding away. I hold on tight, it feels like a magic carpet ride. I watch the valley by me speed away, to be replaced by rocky mountains tipped with snow. I smile and hug the cloud. Now I am in a cool desert, lit by the night, and it seems much nicer than what I've heard a desert is. The endless dunes are an elusive shade of blue-grey.

Soon I am over a forest, but I've already passed many other places and lands. Here, birds are singing, but I don't stay in one place long enough to understand their songs. A rich leafy smell is in the air, and one tall tree stands out. The white light begins move closer to the land. At the edge of the forest, it is nearly on the ground and rushes past a shore, kicking up sand than flies into my face. I cough and splutter, wiping it away.

When I open my eyes again, there is a dark blue ocean. A reflection of the moon is infront of us, it feels almost like we're chasing it. We're still very low, and sea-foam flicks into my face. I reach down from the light, and touch the ocean. It is pleasantly warm. I begin to notice that the cloud is going even lower. On the horizon, there are ruins of a very old castle.

As we approach the island that the ruins are on, the light touches the shore and stops. I look at the banks, where the water is amazingly clear. Noticing my thirst, I take a scoop of the water. It is very pure and cleansing. As I reach down for more, I notice a single flower in the water, a few feet away. It glows softly, and is a faint silver color. I step off of the cloud to go and pick it.

You see, I felt that this flower was mine. In fact, I knew it was mine. And for some reason, I knew I should take it. As soon as I touched the flower, I felt very sleepy. I plucked it from the ground, and sighed deeply. I looked back at the cloud. A gust of wind coming from the sky was blowing it away. The wind seemed to sparkle, and it came from the sky. Almost as though someone was up there, blowing. The cloud began to dissolve.

By now it was dawn. I yawn, and hold my lovely flower, still as fresh as ever. I lie down in the water, in a way that still allows me to breath. I'm so comfortable here. I belong here. This was a glorious calling dream, nothing like I could have ever expected. I was afraid at first, in the nothingness, but now I am in a safe place. I close my eyes.....
