Hello! Post an introduction here - let us know who we're dealing with!
Me:
I'm FLip, I've been following Hellboy since... The film came out, I think. I remember the game they made from before then, but wasn't that impressed. As it was terrible.
I'm looking to run the Hellboy GURPS game, using new characters, as a large game, several teams of investigators working at once...

I would gladly play the Hellboy RP with you, but I don't really like GURPS--it's so... broad. I prefer the World of Darkness system, since it focuses more on actual role playing, rather than the rules and systems.
Plus, I'm not too familiar with GURPS.
Edit: If you gave me time, I might actually be able to make a Hellboy adapted system and character sheet. biggrin (But seriously, it could take a while...)

Oh, intro... that's right!~
Okay, I'm Sensual Enigma Tourmaline, also known as SET for short. If you don't know what my name means, then I'll explain: Sensual--usually referring to more passionate and sexual things; Enigma--something that is chaotic and impossible to understand; Tourmaline--a blue-green mineral that relates to the element of Earth (or Water... I cant' remember...).
When I saw the movie (which was kind of B-rated to me, but still badass), I loved it. HB's characters were interesting (and definitely not your everyday heroes [although, I do hate American superheroes. And in Japan, demons are common anyway, so I dunno... XP]), and little bit demented, which I was immediately attracted to. Plus, Liz is a pyrokinetic! (And what's cooler than that! [Besides Hellboy being a half-demon?])
I've never been able to read the comics before, which after seeing a few images, I immediately noticed the difference between the movie and comic book character's appearances. I prefer the comic one since he has cloven feet (which would be real bad for sneakin' around. XP) And he has pupiless eyes, which makes him even more interesting, by far.
I've seen a few screenshots for the last game, and I wasn't very impressed, either, but I'm am anticipating the new HB game they are releasing soon (I believe, sometime this year? Or was it next?)
Besides me and my relations to the Hellboy fandom, I have a wide interest in many other things, such as sketching, role playing, chattin' it up with buddies, karaoke, bike riding, exploring untouched regions of the earth, discovering the past, visiting ghost towns, playing video games, writing fanfics, drawing doujinshis, and many, many other things... biggrin
I'm only seventeen, but most people would never guess that at a first glance, and I can understand that--sometimes, I feel like I'm sixty (which is not fun, trust me... being old sucks...) Most people who see me in person think that I attend college; however, I'm still in high school (my senior year.)
As you may have noticed, I talk excessively, and I like to talk. It may be a bad habit when holding conversations with people in person, but on the internet, it's okay--I get free gold! Which reminds me, I've been a member of Gaia since... I think it was summer of '03 or '04 (I can't remember which.) I plan on being here for a long time, selling artwork, makin' money, and eventually starting my own guild. But that won't be for a while...
Well, I'm sure that you're brain is falling out by now, so I'm just gonna sit quiet for a while until I can find a new topic. Then, your brain will slide out of your ears... so, uh... good luck with that! And ciao!

But yeah, I'm Roger. You know...the homunculus from "Almost Colossus"? I've got every trade of HB and am working my way up through the BPRD trades. I in general love the rich story telling and aspire to be like Mike Mignola in just about every way.

when i first saw the movie which was a while back i thought it was great! and then i saw the two cartoon ones which ok i guess. But if there was a hellboy rpg out there I would defientely join it!

I found the comics maybe a year before the movie came out, in a local library. Ever since I have been addicted to Hellboy and comics in general. (The addiction, as you can see, if pretty damn bad. ^_^; ) I love Mignola's art and sesne of Design, and the BPRD series introduced me to another great artit, Guy Davis. No one, and I mean NO ONE can draw deomns like him. Davis puts Heironymus Bosch to shame. (Or maybe pride. Wouldn't be too surprised if that were an influence..)
But apart from that, I'm actually a girl behind this avi, I'm an artist, and avid book and comic reader. I have a bad crafting habit, and am always happy to talk comics/art/books.

well, i'm tobi-fangirl for now.
I started reading the comics the same year the movie came out but didn't see it for a while. I will go and see the second movie when it comes out (JULY 11 HUZZAH). HB is just so goddamn cool (literarly). The first one I ever read was Chained Coffin and Others, but even before that it was kind of obvious who his father was.
Also Hellboy JR is hilarous.

Yo! Diggory Venn is a character from a novel I suggest you never read, so I won't tell you the name (figure it out if you want to, but seriously- I only read it because it was assigned for English).
I love Hellboy! The movie is what really got me into it. I think this is because it's a cross between DOGMA, Ghostbusters, and Men In Black (all three movies I adore). Plus, it has its own unique character. I'm also a comic book junkie and I love to analyze things. My favorite character is Abe Sapien (did you know it took up to 7 hours to put the actor in full body makeup??? + his gills are animitronic?) and the overweight American Soldier in the 1944 scene (mostly for the cliche aspect).
I wish they went into more detail about the occult wars!

I'm Trivia (Alison if you prefer) and I've been a hardcore Hellboy fan since I first saw a picture of him and wondered why he had opaque red goggles on his head. gonk sweatdrop
I buy the TPBs as soon as they come out and I've seen the movie at least thirty times.

Hiiiiii im Bloodsucker_cullen(or blood as a nickname). I absolutely LOVE Hellboy, Abe is my fav though. I got into it when I saw the first movie with my dad and have been hooked.

I'm a fan of the movies and I've read any issue I can get. Its kind of hard since I live in the town with nothing of the sort. D:
I enjoy music and art-type things. My current project is a wood carving of Princess Nuala's face.
