Raven laid her head on her knees. Even that pulled on the chains that bound her to her cage. She was bound by the neck, arms, legs and wrists. They were afraid that she would use magic to escape. If only I could use magic. Then I wouldnt be here. Raven thought. She closed her eyes and tried to sleep.

Adryan paced how far her chains would let her go in the cage. The shackles were tight on her wrists and ankles, making moving even an inch excrutiatingly painful. "Stupid magick-proof chains. If it weren't for the damn wards I'd be free of these things already." She continued pacing the short distance and muttering to herself.

Raven raised her head when she heard the chains moving. Cussing them wont help you get out. We're stuck here. And look at it this way, at least you can move. Raven tried to point at her chains but the movement chocked her. And at least the stupid slaves drivers didnt make your chains to where they burn the skin if you try to get out. Raven looked at her wrists. She could still see the painful burn rings.

Shadow entered the holding room and looked around. *Only two slaves. Thats pathetic.* He scoffed to himself. As he stood there, he listened to one of the slaves complain. With a flick of his wrist the chains started to heat up. Laughing her watched her squirm in pain.

Raven screamed as the chains burned her. She glared at the slave driver. If I could do magic, a*****e, you wouldnt be laughing. Raven tried to cast a spell but instead her collar started to burn her skin. Screaming she tried to get it to stop.

Adryan snarled at the other girl and the man in the room. "Pathetic. At least I bite my tongue when it hurts. These shackles aren't exactly adjusted to fit my wrists. And I'm walking around because I freeze to them if I don't keep warm." She practically spat

She rushed toward the other girl to break the bars and attack her only to be pulled back. Adryan fell to the floor while chain ropes sprang from the ground and wrapped around her, each lined with needle spikes that dug into her skin. "Sadists! All slave drivers want is to torture people to death! Can't you at least have good reason for it?!" She screamed mostly toward the man on the other side of the bars.

Shadow laughed to himself. *I like you slave. What would your price be?* Shadow walked up to Adryan and watched her for a moment. With a flick of his wrist the chains recolied and Raven's stopped burning her. *I wonder who's in charge.* Shadow walked to the main office to ask about buying Adryan

Raven exhaled as the chains cooled. She was tired of the pain. She watched Shadow leave the room. Thank the goddess hes gone. She tried to move into a more comfortable position but only succeeded in choking herself. My names Raven. Whats yours? Raven called to Adryan.

In a burst of flames the Overlord appeared before Adryan's cage, leaning against the bars. A smirk crossed his face with an evil glint in his bright green eyes.
That wouldn't be very nice. He would be killed.
