Welcome to my little thread. This will be your place for DIY tutorials on different fashion related things. In my attempts I shall make them as simple as possible. Feel free to ask about how to do different things. I will help you through the creation process to the best of my ability.

some possiblities.
1. Yarn hair falls
2. skirts
3. accesories
4. home decorating
5. tops
6. making old new again (changing and customizing old clothes you hate)
7. Sewing help

Introducing myself: Hey, Im Noodle_tml, but you can just call me noodle or by my real name Noelle. I am 20 and a boring History student who has an obsession with fashion and creating awsome and sometimes kooky clothes. I am what people on Gaia consider an Oldbie since 03. I have worked in the fashion indusrty at a Toronto Boutique under a local designer named Kingi Carpenter. Her store is called Peach Berserk. I have also participated in a few university fashion shows in my spare time. At the moment I have hit a snag and have no spare time for fashion events since Exams are killing me.

** YARN HAIRFALL TUTORIAL**

For this you will need...

Colinette Point 5 Wool
Black Elastic
2 Hair Combs (http://www.ebuni.com/images/haircombs/full/hair-comb-0015.jpg)
Scissors

Cut 2 pieces of approx 25 cm of elastic- some people my prefer to use lace, but when i wore dreads with a lace attatchment they slipped out constantly, so I find elastic is better because you can tie it as tight as u want
Unravel your wool
Cut your wool- Make sure you double up on this because you want even dreads!!! for the pink dreads I did a mixture of lengths, some I cut into metre strips, I dont suppose it matters, because if you have different lengths it gives more volume. With the metre lengths i got the length of the dreads I wanted, but also got the volume at the top.
Simply tie your wool to the elastic, aim to make your dreads volumey at the top, once you tie a few on, stretch the elastic and push them all together.
do the same with the hair combs
ALL DONE!

Now all u need to to is put ur hair up into two buns (get them as high as possible) and tie the elastic around them, slide the combs in if you want exta volume and put a thick headband/bandana over your real hair.

Et voila!

here are some examples from other people

Hey guys ^^
Some of these tutorials are pretty good! I make tutu's, skirts, large head bows and accessories so I'm gonna have to gather up all my info and describe how I made them on here XD

I'm pro at doing diy easy projects and I have several books and such on this kind of stuff. I'll try and post some up here soon. Btw the hair thing is totally cool maybe I'll make some of those.

I dunno how much this has to do with the subject,
But for those of you green people who love to wear corsets, my mom found this really cool pattern at the store. It has instructions on not only how to make a regular cloth and bone corset, but how to make a corset out of old magazines you may have lying around.
I have yet to try it out, but if you find it, I suggest you buy it and check it out. biggrin

There are plenty of awesome patterns out there that support the cause of green. :3

Here's a video on how to make a cute denim bejeweled cuff. I thought it'd be good for anyone who doesn't use or own a sewing machine.
