The Lion Mane Tavern and InnA Brief Introduction
The sun's warm golden light rained down from the clear blue sky. The air was hot and the forests' children stopped to rest, made lazy by the heat. The Lion's Mane Tavern and Inn's old wooden structure creeked as it expanded in the heat. The few patrons ignored the sound, knowing it was perfectly natural. Friendly chatter and soft laughter float through the bar.
The Lion's Mane was a small tavern- small and homey. The tavern was made of nothing but wood, nails and love by the hands of its owner, Leon Valentine, a poor man's son. Furnished with comfortable and simple furniture the tavern is a great place for travelers to stop, rest and grab a bite to eat. Its food is nothing fancy. But it has that beautiful home cooked charm and is always delicious. Leon makes sure that his customers are always happy and are well taken care of. Anyone who can stand its utter simplicity-and even the rickety look of the whole building- finds themselves in a great establishment. It isn't rare for people to not leave the Lion's mane for long periods at a time.
Right behind the Lion's Mane is a large lush forest teeming with life. Leon and the meger staff of the Lion's Mane believe that friendly fairies from the forest fly in to the windows at night and play in the empty bar and rooms at night, singing songs with their pretty chime-like voices-a good omen signifying that the fairies wil protect the tavern from anyone or anything that would like to destroy it.
Running right in between the Lion's Mane and the forest is a river that contains as much life as the forest beneath its crystalline surface. Both the occupants in the forest and tavern come here for their water or to swim or bathe. The water, no matter how hot or cold the weather, never fails to be refreshing and rejuvinating. Leon guesses that there is a magical force at work at the very heart of the spring, the souce of this beautiful river.
In the morning Leon claims that if you wake up early enough you will see a clan of red dragons flying thousands of feet aove the tavern in search of food. They never come down to the tavern. Leon knows that the Dragons never will give them trouble as long as he and his tavern do the same.
But is everything in the Lion's Mane Tavern and Inn safe? Who knows what may be lurking in the forest and night? A hungry vampire, a band of thieves? Who knows who may want to stir trouble.
A Word from Leon
"Good day. This is the Lion Mane Tavern and Inn. People, merchants, travelers and creatures of all sorts are welcome here. It may not look like much but our beds are comfortable and at night there is always a cozy fire in the hearth. " Leon says with his with his warm smile. Then his face falls a bit, "Unfortunatelty there will be a meager fee for bread is not free. But please, enjoy your stay here. As I have said earlier we have fine accomodations and Mini is the finest cook in the land.
"Please be nice to your fellow patron. If there are any problems and fights, please take them outside. The tavern is old and repairing it is very difficult."

Rules and the Role PlayRole Play Notes:
I know how this is a Battle Guild and all, so this romantically set tavern will prolly not appeal to you, so I decided to put a bit in for you fighters/adventerer types.
The Dragon cave and magical spring were put in there for you. You guys can form parties and quests based on these. Also, I am not banning fights between patrons. As Leon said, you just have to take these fights outside.
Rules:
Yes there will be rules, rules, rules. Deal with it. Oh, I reserve the right to add more rules if I see it fit.
domokun No LEET, aka, Chat Speak or shortened 'words' (ex: "ur", "r", "y?"). When you write, all your words will be spelled completely.

Although I AM NOT accepting characters that are part Celestal or Infernal. If I DO have a problem with the character you send me, I'll just talk to you about it. We can work something out. =)

You may choose to be a regular in the tavern, one of the tavern staff, a random patron, hell, you can be a creature in the forest who wants to pick a fight! As long as it's not too crazy, strong, or godly a character, it's fine by me.

 Sing as if no one is listening, dance as if no one is watching…
Leon stood behind the tavern. The sun had just finished its climb over the dragon cliffs. The early morning sky had just had the last hues of pink, violet and red washed away by a bright blue wave. Despite the shower of warm, golden sunlight on the land, the air was still heavy and cool. Leon could feel it in his lungs. Soon the dragons would come out from their caves, the magnificent creatures.
Leon took in a deep breath, savoring the morning before heading back in to the Lion's Mane Tavern and Inn. It was time to get things ready.
Once inside the tavern Leon opened the window shutters, letting the sunlight spill in. The warm light gave the wooden furniture a golden glow, making the tavern even more beautiful to Leon, if that was even possible. As the Tavern owner scanned everything with his gentle eyes, he felt a warm glow of pride expand inside him.
Taking a cloth, Leon started to wipe the closest table top-a job for a waitress but Leon loved to take care of everything in his tavern, making sure everything was in tip-top shape. Besides, there was no need to wake the help just yet. There was no one here to serve.
Leon worked in the morning peace, getting absorbed in his task. …love as if you have never been hurt before, live as if there is Heaven on Earth.

Aji was sitting under a large oak tree, enjoying the morning sunshine. She smiled as she watched the pixies emerge from their homes and fly through the forest. While watching the pixies, the fairy thought to herself, "Hmm, I wonder what the owner of that tavern is up to? Guess I'll go find out." So, Aji stood up and used her magic to shrink herself down to the size of a pixie. Then, she flew off to the Lion's Mane.

Yuuki wondered down the muddy dirt path, her fingers aimlessly shooting harmless sparks as she hummed a small tune and swayed. Her black leather boots caked with mud taking long graceful strides while their silver buckle seemed to glimmer. 'I guess a spot of mud is unavoidable...' she thought as she glanced at what she was wearing. Her black velvet coat hung casually over her shoulders covering her delicate frame from plain view.
In the distance she could see the sun rising by the cliffs. She smiled inwardly. 'What a lovely day this might turn out to be...' she muttered to herself as she glimpsed the Lion's Mane. 'Perhaps I should meet a dashing young knight, or perhaps a dazzling young maiden...' she smiled inwardly once more her steps losing their grace as she raced towards the Lion's Mane as if she were being chased. "I can't wait!" she sighed dreamily stoping the sparks and waiping her foot before entering.

As Aji flew to the Lion's Mane, she noticed a young girl running towards the tavern as well. "Ah, one of the regulars. She can take me the rest of the way." The fairy dove down and tucked herself into one of the girl's coat pockets. Then, she poked her head out, so she could get a view of the path.

Leon heard a familiar sound. The sound of boots. He couldn't quite place what the feet in these boots were doing, but there was no doubt someone was lingering outside his tavern-and so early in the morning! Well, travelers never DID have a predictable schedule. Leon would have to go wake up his staff in a while. But that could wait. From the sound of it, this person was alone.
Leon put the cloth in to his back pocket, wiped his hands on his pants and brushed strands of his golden hair out of his eyes, trying to make himself look more presentable.
Before the soon-to-be-patron could enter, Leon strode to the door with his long legs. Quickly he opened the door with his prize winning smile. "Welcome to the Lion's Mane," said he. "It's a bit early so the rest of the staff is still asleep but please, do come in and rest a bit." …love as if you have never been hurt before, live as if there is Heaven on Earth.

Yuuki smiled brightly and nodded as she took long strides in and sat down at the nearest table. She tossed a careful glance around before turning back to Leon and smiling one of those bright smiles she had. "Monsieur, I beg your apologies for rousing you this early... she said in a deep voice that seemed to appear like that of a boy just in his puberty years. "...I just thought I'd have an early morning stroll." She added as she made a small bow towards him.
She cautiously took her coat off without much thought and hung it on the chairs rest before turning her hazel eyes back at Leon. "so what might you recommend for an early morning snack?" she asked in that same low voice.

After the girl placed her coat on the chair's rest, Aji climbed out of the pocket. Then, she flew over to a nearby shelf and sat down. Aji watched curiously as the girl and tavern owner talked.

"It is no problem, really!" Leon said, still smiling like the sun. As the girl walked in, Leon left the door open, a small gesture so that all would know the tavern was open for buisness.
Walking to the bar, Leon replied.
"Mini, our cook is not up yet so let me see what we have in the back." Leon said with a nervous chuckle. He knew nothing about the kitchen. He left that all up to Mini. Hopefully there would be fruit or some good bread waiting some where he could find it.
After a few minutes Leon reemerged with a plate. On this platter was an apple, assorted cheese and bread.
"I'm sorry this is so simple." Leon said sheepishly, placing the plate on the table nearest the traveler. "If you like I could get you some wine to go with this." He walked to the back of the bar and produced a knife. He placed it next to the plate.

"Oh no, this is a feast..." Yuuki smiled genuinely. She pondered silently over the offer for wine and shook her head smiling. “If it wouldn’t be a bother some milk would be better… I don’t drink this early in the morning” she muttered as she laughed a bit. “So how is business here?” she asked making conversation. It was always nice to have someone to talk to.
