There was a knock on the door and Kilynn went to answer it. "Cillian, I need you to find something to do today. I have an important customer and he's requested the whole day. Do you think you could find something to do?" she asked as she reached the door.
"Sure. Ca' I bring Loki?" Cillian looked for the small blue streak of a creature. Loki, hearing his name, rushed up to Cillian's shoulder and parked himself.
"I don't think I could say nom" Kilynn laughed as she opened the door for her guest. "Hey, darling," the big man kissed Kilynn on the cheek. "Hey, Cillian."
"Hey, Joe," Cillian smiled at the large set man. Joe was a regular of Kilynn's, and one that didn't mind Cillian's appearances. Although he liked the big man, he knew it wasn't his place to impede on his paid time with Kilynn. "Goin' around town. See ya bof la'er"
Cillian closed the door and gave the key to Loki to hold. Thinking of where he should go, Cillian realized he had followed his nose again and found himself at a big building that smelled like fish. He walked in, paid the man at the door and stood at the entrance staring at all the fish. Large tanks surrounded the walls and led to different halls of different types of fish.

It was not yet noon, but the heat of the sunny spring day was already getting to the woman. She'd brought Nikolai with her when she turned in her final paper- graduation a promise now for the early finisher- and decided to celebrate with a trip to the aquarium.
"I haven't been here since I was a little girl..." She murmured to her young charge, carrying the little boy in her arms. No matter where she went, Jade loved to coddle and tend to her beloved Nikki. Even more protective when he had grown up so very quickly since rescuing him from the woods.
The aquarium was part of a research program as well, so there were dolphin shows three times a day. The large creatures always entertained the crowds. However, as soon as Jade set the little Herald down to buy them an ice cream, the lad seemed to think the small crowd was looking at another attraction to the aquarium.
What is that? Nikolai couldn't help but think, and like other small children around, gathered near Cillian to see. The fishman certainly was good advertisement for the aquarium! Smiling warmly up at the young man, Nikolai said nothing at all even as other children cried for their parents to take their picture with the aquatic Herald. The small boy didn't seem to understand that this kindred spirit was not part of the show.

Lind walked through the aquarium, obediently staying by Subo's side (he had promised not to run off, after all), but he did have a certain bounce to his step that reminded others that he was still energetic.
And fish! LOTS of fish! This place was neat! He tugged Subo over towards a large tank, and then pressed his face to it to get a better view of the contents. Who knew there were this many kinds of fish? It was mind boggling! Off to the side, a flash of something salmon-colored caught his eye. Though it wasn't in the tank... But...ooh! Scales! Fish scales! Person! Clearly it could only be...
"Mamaa!" Lind said happily, tugging on her hand, "'s Aquaman."
Subo, who was attempting to make her way to a nearby bench, glanced in the direction Lind was pointing in. "Aquaman? I don't think so, hun." she said, a smile tugging the edges of her lips upwards. "No freaky colored spandex, for one thing."
"B..but...! FISH!" he exclaimed. Clearly Subo wasn't so daft as to see that he was a fish man! And..fish live in water! And so does AQUAMAN. She really wasn't seeing the whole picture.
"And snake." Subo replied, poking him on the nose. "Now, you can wander, but stay in sight, alright?" she said as she sat down on the bench and pulled a novel out of her bag. She needed to catch up on her reading. "And for heaven's sake, leave the poor man alone, alright?"
"...KAY." With that, Lind made his bouncy way back o the fish tank, and began sneakily edging his way over towards the fish-man. And there was someone his size there too! Good excuse for going over there?
...SURE.

Kemuri wandered here and there, trying to find the address that Lily sent him to. it was an 'aquarium'. He had read about these in books but he hadn't been to one before. Lily was getting out of the house less and less and that made him worry, but Lily wanted to sleep and then do some chores so he had to leave or he'd get bored.
He went as he saw the place he was supposed to go to. He walked as he handed the person at the door the entrance fee. the whole place reeked of aquatic animals. He ignored it and walked deeper into the building. He stuck his hands in his pocket as he lurked here and there.
He stood in front of the angel fish tank. the lovely fish swam, not getting scared inside their tank. Kemuri wondered how can people see them but they not see the people. he wondered about one way mirrors and stuff but not much made sense. he even thought of Lasers that shot the fish that made it look like a continuation of the tank when it was people!
Kemuri wondered if he'd bump into people he'd met before at this place of fishies and sea mammels. Kemuri started away from the angel fish section and into the depths of the building.

When Cillian was swarmed by people, it didn't occur to him right away that they were looking and pointing at him, talking under their breaths. Loki, sitting up on Cillian's shoulder, kept hissing at the crowds and shaking keys in every direction. Still undecided as to which fish to look at first, he let the people point and talk, as long as he could look. He was about to go the fish tank in the back and make a circle later when he saw wings, two sets of them. Bending over to look into the two boys, a young lady came over to Cillian. He stood up to hear the lady better, but kept looking at the boys.
"I'm sorry. It seems people have thought you were one of our shows. The staff here at the aquarium think you may have a more enjoyable time if you wear this complimentary hat. It may distract people from your... features," she tried to put his situation delicately.
"Thanks," Cillian muttered as he put the hat ony (which barely covered his different looking ears.
The crowd dispersed when they heard that Cillian was a customer like them, although the two boys were still looking at him. He knelt back down and gave the boys a smile, but he was still shocked by them.
" 'ello," He greeted with his strange accent. Trying to talk slower he went on, "You two 'ave wings!"

Nikolai giggled at Cillian's funny way of talking, smiling brightly and ever silently at the fishy-Herald before him. The glossy looking scales Cillian had certainly were something, and the angelic little Herald reached out as if to touch the man's face to see for himself. The innocent mind of a child knew no sense of personal space when curiousity got the better of him.
"All right Nikki, here's your- Nikki?!" Holding two ice cream cones, Jade was shocked when she couldn't spot her little boy right away. Franticly looking around, it wasn't long before she spotted Nikolai and marched over to her son. "You about gave me a heart attack! Stay close to Mommy." Handing the boy his ice cream only to free up a hand, Jade took hold of the boy's other hand and looked to the man before them appologeticly. "I'm so sorry he bothered you..."

Lind blinked and stared blankly as the crowd slowly dispersed. What was wrong with them? AQUAMAN is right there! Silly people.
"Yeaaah!" Lind said in response, waving energetically. Oh hey! Kenuri was here too!. He redirected his wave towards his raven-winged friend, wondering if he'd see any more interesting people here.
And then he saw Nikolai. Well, this day just kept on getting better and better, huh? "Hii!"

"You two... Look alike," Cillian looked at the winged boys. Relieved as well as wondering what they, and maybe he, was. He also didn't really notice the difference in the way they looked, he just couldn't get over the wings. He reach over and touched Nikolai's wings and stroked them a little. "Nikki," he said under his breath.
Turning to the other boy, Cillian touched his wings. "Hii?"
Cillian followed silver-winged boy's eyes and saw a darker, older boy with wings. Three people with wings in here. Cillian thought to himself that maybe his nose was good for something other than sniffing Kilynn's mixtures of smells.
Moving his wings behind him a little, Cillian stared at the two women with the younger boys and looked behind them. "No wings?"

The exuberant greeting from Lind made the young lad retract, sticking closer to Jade and offered a timid little wave.
"What...? No, I don't have wings. Only you Herald's do." Jade said calmly, confused as to why this teenager didn't realize what he was. "Who might you two be?" She asked of Lind and Cillian both, seeing as to how Nikolai apparently wasn't as much of a bother as she'd thought.
Blinking at the pair, Nikolai looked up to Cillian with a smile. Lind was bouncy and loud, but this person seemed more soft spoken.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Jade smiled sheepishly. "This is Nikolai, and my name is Jade." She extended a hand to Cillian, hoping to be friendly.

"Wha's a h.e.r.a.l.d?" Cillian tried the word in his mouth, trying to think if he knew of the word. He think he remembered a time when he was young when his father brought him into town when he was little. He had wrapped the boy up in a big coat and a hat, hiding him from the world. At one point he went into a shop and talked to another adult and said the word a couple times, but he never explained anything to Cillian.
After he snapped out of his daze, he saw a hand extended in his direction. He bent down to sniff it, but it wasn't an overly exciting smell. Loki, still on Cillian's shoulder, stretched to smell the hand. Then he jumped into Jade's hand, wrapped around it and sat in the woman's hand while staring at Cillian.
When Cillian reached for the creature, Loki swiveled up Jade's arm a little ways as Cillian's hand fell into Jade's.

With the serpantine creature 'attacking', Jake shrieked and flung the little beast away from her- dropping her ice cream in the process. Unfortunately, in her attempt to get the little beast off her, she smacked Cillian's hand away.
Nikolai cringed when he heard the scream, clutching hold of Jade's other hand nervously. He didn't know why she'd shouted so, but didn't want her to be hurt. It frightened him to think his mother could be hurt, and whimpered quietly.

Kemuri stayed to himself, watching the other 3 talk. he had met Jade and Nikki and Lind before. but not this older herald whose wings seemed to be... not made of feathers. He wondered about this and how this might've happened.
After he had seen Jade fall back he broke his moment of silence by asking Jade, "are you alright Jade?". He didn't get close to the woman. She seemed to be crowed as is but still, she was 'attacked'. "oh, i don't think i caught your name." He said to the herald. He wouldn't have to keep calling him 'fishman', 'herald' or 'him' but by his name he received.
((sorry for not replying. completely left my mind... >.<))

Subo's lips quirked into a smile at Cillian's question about wings. "Not to my knowledge," she responded, folding down the corner of the page she was on to keep her place.
Lind blinked as Nikolai edged towards his guardian. Ooh, right. Not supposed to be so loud. As he was going to say something to him, Jade screamed, causing him to jump.
Subo frowned slightly when she heard the scream and went to stand behind Lind, calming her ward down with a comforting hand on his head. "You okay?"

At the woman's scream Cillian backed away as Loki scampered up his arm and wrapped himself around Cillian's neck. With a hiss and a jingle of the keys, Loki glared at the woman.
Cillian, not nearly as tempermental as Loki, snatched his hand back after the smack and backed up a bit. Being around so many people was starting to trigger in his mind reactions he had gotten from some in the past from disgust to horror, neither very friendly or happy, except when he met Kilynn. She had no problems touching him or treating him like his father did. He was also so used to Loki, that he didn't understand what the problem could have been with the woman, so he took it personally.
Putting on a cool mask of a face that lost all signs of emotion Cillian replied quietly when he thought he heard someone ask for his name, "Cillian." He prepared for any negative reaction from the others, sticking his thumbs behind his back in the hem of his pants and waited.

Having a fear of snakes- Lind not counting as he was not in the slightest like a serpant aside from the scales- didn't help Jade keep her cool. Getting farther away from Loki and Cillian, she made a face like she'd just caught a whiff of a skunk that was hit by a car and left out for a week and a half. "Keep that furry eel away from me!!" She shrieked loudly, not catching Cillian's name in her fit.
Frightened at the thought Loki had bitten his mother, Nikolai clung tightly to her sleeve. He looked terrified that something was wrong; not having any idea as to why she was so upset.
