Well, seeing as Turiko has finally come back to us . . . (hugs)
And . . . Seeing as the DTAAY that Riko restarted is almost at its first year (July 15th) . . .
I was thinking . . . maybe we should hold a birthday bash in celebration of Riko's return as well as the return of our thread, which had been lost to us for about a month. sweatdrop
This may also help in rekindling the lost DTAAYers and revive our thread that has been seemingly dead for a while. Though, that can be attributed to a lack of drawing for the past month. It's understandable because people are busy and have lives. And artists often have artist's block. (shurgs)
But, I'm pretty sure that DTAAY, as lost as it has been these past months with the thread moving, Riko leaving, the auction, migration, pagination, etc., is and continues to play a major role in our overall experiences on Gaia.
So, erm. Some thoughts:
1. Evidently, as a DTAAYer, perhaps we could make gift arts specifically for the thread . . . or to a group of DTAAYers. Or just gift art for others like we've always done. sweatdrop
I don't know. Bad idea.
2. This may be a bit extreme, but maybe we can give each other small gifts. Kind of like the Secret Santa idea from last year for Christmas. sweatdrop
3. Blow up the thread?
I don't know. Any thoughts? Just thought it'd be interesting to do something for the thread in celebration of it's one year birthday. I'm just at a lost as to what to do . . .

Edit:: I like the secret santa idea, but I think there should be a spending limit.
Since I will have some time over the next week to do some drawing...I will try to do the drawing of the regulars at DTAAY, but I need to know who should be in it. If you would like to be in it please PM me or post here or in DTAAY. Thankies heart

Only problem I see with the Secret Santa idea is that some people are Questing, and CAN'T spend at the moment, due to dedication to their quests, me included. sweatdrop

Erm. I think you guys were trying to come up with a list of regulars back on the thread . . . I think I can come up with a list tomorrow.
Most of the people on the guild are regulars though. sweatdrop
And there are quite a few regulars who left but come and visit every so often. So. Hm. I guess, it'd be up to you to consider them regulars or not if that be the case.
But. Hmmmm. What to do indeed.
Let's invade the other DTAAY threads in celebration! xd

I think we should have some sort of party in our thread and get it going again.. We should make a bunch of DTAAY banners and such too... That might be fun.
But we definatly need to revive DTAAY. When I first joined in October the pages moved so fast you could barely keep up! Now it's like a turtles pace.. Geez.

I'm sorry if you're getting this message more than once or if you're not even in the Draw the Avatar Above You guild. Apparently, there seems to be something wrong with sending PMs to a group of people . . . Though I was under the impression sending messages to people on your friendlist was enabled, I suppose not. From what I've been hearing, it's because some individuals have been abusing the PMs with spam, and thus, sending messages to a group of people or to your friendlist has been disabled. In short, I'm going to try sending this message to each individual in the guild. Sorry if you're getting this message more than once and . . .
Again, sorry if this message does not apply to you, though you're more than welcome to join.
 Draw the Avatar Above You has gone through many ups and downs throughout the year. Much of our success has been contributed to Turiko, who not only restarted the second thread but also started the guild, and the many regular members who visit the thread on a daily basis. For many of the Gaia held events, including last years Gaia Olympics event, the Halloween event, and the Annual Gaia Ball, DTAAY has always been one of those threads in the center of attention. Of course, we?ve had our share of ordeals, which included our abrupt movement to the Interest-based Guilds, archiving mishaps, as well as the more recent migration and pagination incidents. But, I?d like to think we?ve stuck through it all. So, in turn, we at the DTAAY sincerely hope that you will be able to attend this celebration in hopes of reviving a thread that has created some of our most cherished memories on Gaia.
