Richard was heading up in the other direction. She'd almost given in and headed out to her tree. She had been half way there when she realized what she was doing. Humans don't hang out in trees and they certianly don't mark trees with their scent to make themselves at home. Human stay inside and watch TV when they're bored and Richard was going to do just that.

Richard was walking up the path with a worried expression on her face. Her incomplete feet and wide hips force her into a very femine saunter up the sloped path. Her two smaller arms supported her injured left arm which was wrapped in white bandages.

She saw Victor and unconiously veered off slightly. People were proving to be difficult lately and Richard was not in the mood to explain her appearance.

Richard froze when she heard her name called out, pausing in mid step. She made a small sound, sort of a sigh that got tangled up with inhuman vocal cords, a squeaking growl almost. Lowering her hairy foot down onto the path she turned slightly to look at the figure crawling after her. Her tail broadcast her annoyance and unease but she forced herself to smile at Victor.

"Hello Victor." The voice was shockingly different from Richard's previous deep voice, only baring a passing resemblance to it. "How's it going?"

Richard's injured arm shielded chest from Victor's view somewhat but it was hard to miss the new curves. She looked down at her injuried arm and couldn't help but bare her teeth at the memory. "Seth," She growled, "Son of a b***h bit me." Her tail lashed in anger.

Looking for a conversation topic that didn't make Richard angry, sad or defensive was going to take some doing.

"Its fine, healing nicely," She informed Victor tersly. To prove her point she let her arm fall to her side and did her best to not wince. A sharp intake of breath betrayed the fact that the limb was still quite tender.

She took a deep breath to steady herself. "I'm just staying out of the jun-," She cut herself off, that wasn't what she was doing, damnit. She wanted to watch a movie and perhaps get some food. That was it. She nodded at the internal thought. This was what actually wanted to do.. really. "I mean watch an old movie or something."

"Uh huh." Richard nodded, trying to be interested. She really wasn't a big movie buff. She had always preferred to read or watch the news. She viewed movies as mindless entertainment that were good for watching explosions in. She found Bond films ideal.

Her glance snagged on the forest, a look of longing came to her eyes. "You know you should stay out of the forest. There are some dangerous creatures in there. Annie and Jamal." She nod, speaking more to herself than a Victor. Trying to convince herself. "Yup out there its hard to think like a human sometimes. You start thinking silly thoughts like territory and worse you think it actually matters."

Richard looked down at Victor's mutated form. "Really? So that wasn't on purpose?" She wasn't sure who was worse off, him changing into a female monster from a children's book with the possibility of going insane or Victor's more random mutations and a clear mind. She might offer to trade if it was possible, but then again wasn't this only Victor's second transformation? It had two more chances to get worse.

"What else they say about it?"

Richard's tail lashed, she couldn't really do anything anything about the situation but filed the tidbit away under lab ********. She did perk up a bit when Victor mentioned Dr. Lockhart. "Talked to Dr. Lockhart? I haven't had the... pleasure yet. What was she like?" Richard was as eager for gossip on the lab heads, no matter where it came from.
