Richard was finding staying out of the jungle to be a frustrating experience. She just felt more at ease among the trees than in the wide open village. She hated the fact that at anytime some one might stumble upon her. Additionally, the knowledge that the she preferred the jungle to village also caused her distress as it was not a logical, human thought. It wasn't something she would think before she was she or had grown a tail. So for what it was worth she was fighting it. Trying to force herself to act human. She told herself that she didn't care that her tree was undefended. It was just a tree after all. No matter how much she enjoyed sleeping or reading in it or under it. It was just a tree.

So instead of retreating to the jungle after lunch Richard plopped herself onto the couch in the entertainment center. She put in a bond movie and promptly fell asleep. She curled up on the couch as tightly as her awkward body would allow, her tentacles laying flat against her back. She wasn't visable from the door of the entertainment room but her slight snores might be heard during the quiet parts of the movie.

As the tentacled cat-man-woman lied on the couch, Marshall found himself wandering around the small village he had been living in for almost half a year, carrying around marker-drawn fliers advertising the seemingly legitimate recycling project he had become part of. He didn't even notice the sleeping cat beast on the couch as he put up the fliers on the bulletin board, and slipped a few into a couple of Magazines just to be sneaky-like.

He glanced over at the TV.

"Oh, cool. Bond."

At the sound of a voice Richard was instantly awake. She had been a very light sleeper since the last transformation and doubly so after the fight with Seth. She was not going to be caught off guard again. Seeing no one immediately, but definitely smelling someone, she pushed herself up with her upper right arm to peer over the back of the couch with her bright green eyes. She saw the penguin boy and immediately smirked as the memory of the truth or Dare game came spring to her mind.

She couldn't remember his name however, so she stayed silent for now, just watching him and his flyers.

Marshall looked down at the cat-faced thing staring at him. Instinctively, he took a step back; not from shock from Richard, just the fact that he didn't see her sitting there just moments before.

"Oh. Hey there. Sorry, erm..." Marshall blinked a few times, remembering the eyes and the hair above every thing. Oh, yeah! Thats right! The night of drinking at the construction site! This guy was the reason Gaius held him upside down right after his change (some thing he did not find enjoyable).

"You're...Richard, right?"

Well it was nice to be recognized. Not everyone did at first. She licked her muzzle the pink tongue covered her nose and then moved down the side of her muzzle. Hesitantly she answer in a voice that was definitely not the one Marshall had heard previously. "Yep, I'm Richard." She paused awkwardly. "How you doing son? You look, less green." The smirk was there but it was tempered by Richard's unease with the social situation.

Marshall blinked, not putting the face (well, the hair and eyes mostly) with the voice. But his own voice had gotten more nasally since his changes, perhaps some transformations just affected people's voices?

"Yeah, well, I'm kinda use to the changes now I guess. No lisp, see?"

Richard chuckled a bit at that, the laugh trailing off to a brief purr. Not really thinking about it she pulled her self up onto her knees to more easily lean over the back of the couch. Bringing both her wounded arm and chest into view. She leaned most of her weight on her unbandaged arm as she cocked her head slightly to examine Marshall. "I wish I could say the same." A brief flash of sharp occured when she considered her own changes but she mentally stompped on it. She'd been bitter for almost a month now. Time to move on and be friendly again.

She looked down at the papers Marshall clutched in his flipper. A little hand reached out to point at it. "What you got there anyway?"

Marshall blinked, slightly confused by what she meant, or as far as he knew, he meant.

"Oh, well, me and a coupla friends are making like a...Recycling thing?" Marshall explained, holding out a flier.

Richard sniffed but now more information was coming to her via sense, other than Marshall's rather oily aroma. She leaned over the couch to inspect the flyer. "Recycling eh? For what purpose?" She eyed it suspiciously, unware that she was giving Marshall a look down the V of her stretched polo shirt.

Marshall blinked, seeing...Some thing. There were two of them. They weren't exactly how magazines showed them, but...Yeah. They were definitely...Them.

"...WHAT THE HELL?!" Marshall squaked, backing up in a panic. What the hell, man?! Guys didn't have those!

Richard was caught off guard by the sudden squawk and countered it with her own "Yrrowl!" as she shrank back. She blinked for a moment then followed Marshall's gaze back to her chest. Then she growled at Marshall, she was so damn sick of this! "Oh get a ******** grip!" She snapped at him. She might have smacked him but he was well out of range and settled for glowering at him.

"I-I-I-I-" Marshall stammered, letting out a small squawk yet again. He quickly covered his beak, trying to regain his composure, "I'm...Sorry. I thought you were a man." Marshall said apologetically.

Richard growled at that. "I was!" Then she realize what she had just said, admitted to, her eyes widened and then her good paw clapped over her face. "I mean I am a man." Sort of, not really, a little voice in her head chided her. Shaking her head in frustration she slumpped back down on the couch, turn back to the movie. "The change did it," She huffed.

"T-They what?" Marshall said, confused. They couldn't change...THAT, could they? Yes, Marshall's had...changed but still it wasn't any thing like what happened to Richard! Would calling him Richard still be appropriate? Perhaps he...she...it wanted a more feminine name now?

He was speechless; not a single word would escape the Penguin Boy's beak. Not even a squawk.

Richard tried to focus on the movie but she could feel Marshall's eyes boring into the back of her head. The movie really wasn't a very good one either. Slowly she turned back to Marshall, eyes once again being drawn to the papers.

She placed an arm on the back of the couch. "So..." She began, hoping conversation would at least stop him from staring. "Who's helping you with the recycling project, any one I know?"
