Mithos has been at bay for six months. Most of the former group sent to protect and accompany Martel's daughters had managed to be able to adapt to their new life, living with little or no problem in their new homes.

In Auldrant, Jade has put each newcommer back into school to finish up their education. This, funded of course, but the Emperor of Malkuth. Everyone's lives have thusfar calmed down, leading most of the group into a relaxed mode.

In Sylvarrant, however, things aren't going as smoothly as was first planned. When Yggdrasill calls for a meeting with the Five Grand Cardinals and the other leaders of Cruxis, Forcystus finds himself worrying more and more for the safety of not only his life, but for his other companions. Capricorn, too, has become uptight, and the pair soon notifies Kratos Aurion of the impending situation:

Mithos has found a way to break Jade's guard on each world. Now, everyone is in danger- not just the highschoolers themselves, but even the Half-elves and others that had once sided with Yggdrasill.

Can the group manage to band together and save themselves? Or will Mithos get his way and destroy them all?

(( And thus, I make the first post. <3 ))

---

Summertime. The air wafting through the hills and forests of the Iselia region was warm and comforting- even the most sensitive of beings had shed their jackets to revel in the mild weather. The sky, clear with little cloud cover, stretched out as far as the eye could see, cerulean mass blanketing everything. The flora had long since bloomed- the foliage was thick and green, offering shade to those who deemed it necessary.

Atop the large, rocky cliff stationed in the middle of Iselia Forest, a vast metallic complex stands, looming over the village below it. A few half-elves wander about the front area of this Ranch- it's too hot at the moment for them to be bothered to work the humans captive there. The chatter and whispers of those lucky enough to work there can be heard, speaking of not only summer, but of rumors and stories.

Sighing heavily, the statesque Lady Capricorn leaned her body against the trunk of a knarred, massive oak, arms folded across her chest and hair falling lazily over her shoulders. Auburn eyes watched her subordinates, languidly taking notes of their actions for her later report. Having to watch them was so boring, but someone had to do it.

Yawning, the half-elf managed to slap a hand over her mouth as a certain aqua-haired Cardinal strolled leisurely into the area. His golden cannon had been removed from her arm, presumably for the weather, leaving his left limb up in a clean, black sling. His lighter top layer had also been discarded, leaving him in a snug, ebony sleeveless top.

Startling to attention, Capricorn flushed softly, adjusting the belt hanging off her waist as she did so. Forcystus approached her, finally, leaning himself next to her against the ancient tree.

"I've got news," he murmured softly, moving just a tad bit closer, "Lord Yggdrasill's figured it out." Capricorn made to reply, but a hand covered her mouth before she could do so.

"He hasn't broken through yet," he continued quietly, glaring to shoo off a few grunts lingering nearby, "But it's only a matter of time, Capricorn... we've got to warn the others."

"How much does he know?" Capricorn whispered, already moving to walk alongside the Cardinal as he re-entered his Ranch, "Any suspicions that-"

"Sssh." he hissed in response, already opening the door to his office, "Yggdrasill has no idea what we've been doing to help them." he murmured, shutting the door quickly as she entered behind him, "And he won't find out, unless someone tells him."

"That's a relief," she replied, seating herself at his desk and begining work on a quick note to Kratos, "At least we have a little bit of time to warn everyone else..."

((Hooray, the RP is up and running! Spring break sucks when you have nothing to do..))

Rin opened the door to the dormitory where she had been staying for the past six months with a forceful yank. The dormitory foyer was a large room, with exquisite molding on the top and sides of the ceiling. Pillars were at each of the corners of the room and blue adorned all of the curtains and long strips of carpetting that had been rolled out on the ivory granite floor.

Several other people were bustling around the main entrance, too ensconced with whatever they were working on. Rin shook her head, shut the door, brushed some of the dust off of her royal blue uniform and pulled a twig out from her hair. She had run back from the class hall and been attacked by nature on the trip. Rin walked down the marble steps in the entrance hall and into the main part of the entry. She continued down the hall until she was met with two ascending granite staircases, both leading off into their own wings. A hallway at the top of the stairwell connected the two and had a large painting of the royal palace situated in the direct middle of the hall. Vast windows covered the walls and gave a great view of the ocean.

On the walls next to the beginning of the staircases were signs that read, "Ladies" and "Gentlemen". Rin had grown so accustomed to the layout of the dormitory that she didn't even glance at the sign and climbed the right stairwell and into the girls area.

The rooms were lined up in a straight hallway and were sectioned by grade. She roamed down the hallway and sighed in relief as she saw her room approaching. Her room was at the end of the hallway, parallel to a beatiful picture window that viewed into the harbor and the sea. Rin spent a good portion of her time staring through that window and smiled at it.

"Ah, finally.." Rin said as she faced the door to her room. Delving into her new blue and white messenger bag, she started digging for her room key.

"Now, where is it? I know I put it in here....." She muttered, running through her books and other supplies.

"Oh, you gotta be.... Did I lock myself out of my room?!? Oh, that's just PERFECT!" Rin growled and rested her head up against the door.

*c***k*

A golden object fell out of her bag and landed on the floor next to her.

"Huh?... hey, my key! I must've just not seen it.." Rin said sheepishly to herself and unlocked the door.

Her room was pretty neat, bed freshly made and such. She set her bag on the ground next to her desk and laid down on her bed. Her head still hurt from the killer math test she had taken the final period and that's why she ran out as soon as the bell rang.

"I hate math...." Rin mumbled and sat back up on her bed. The air had been crisp and light during her sprint home, but she had been too anxious to escape math class to fully enjoy it.

"I'm going to take a walk." She said to no one in particular and stood up. Rin then walked over to the dresser for a change of clothes but then decided against it. The academy in Malkuth expressly forbid anyone wearing anything other than the uniform on weekdays, regardless of the time. Rin looked down at her uniform. It had a royal blue skirt that reached mid thigh, a white longsleeved blouse with a blue sweater vest and a blue collar and a royal blue blazer. The shoes were also royal blue and required white socks with blue edges.

"This'll work." Rin said and opened the door to her room. She made sure that her key was on her this time and locked it. As she made her way down the hall, the large picture window caught her attention.

"It's really pretty out today." Rin sighed and looked out the window.

((NICE!!! biggrin I'm impressed!))

Lazily flopped over the bed as if she didn't quite care about school anymore, Randi's dark hair whisped in all directions, her uniform wrinkled to hell, and her homework lay on her desk uncompleted. She muttered something about how it was stupid to even be back in school, she left her own world in an escape, why should she have to face reality in another world?

Jade had noticed she'd been like this since she'd left Earth the final time, with that parting with Kratos leaving her seemingly without any real will to live. He'd noticed it in her combat practice, too, where she wouldn't really bother working on her spells. Sure, she'd improved, but it wasn't anywhere near as much as he would have hoped. If only there was a way to bring Kratos and Randi together, somehow...

He stood beside her and poked her side gently. "Kratos would hate to see you so depressed," Jade said finally. "You're living in a castle now."

"Wealth means nothing to me, Jade. I'm just..."

"Lonely?"

"Very much so."

Jade sat down beside her after a few moments, laying a hand on her forehead. "You don't need to worry about that. Is there any part of the world you'd like to see?"

"...what, other than Keterburg?"

"I was hoping you wouldn't mention home. That desolate frozen place..."

"I'm sorry, Jade... but... but the casinos! And hot springs!"

Jade's face lit up at the sound of the word casino. "No, no, don't be. We'll all go together today! It's a day off for students, anyway."

---

Kratos crossed his arms, reading the screen in front of him. He knew the news all ready. Mithos had found a way to bypass the machine Jade built to keep all the worlds seperated.

If this is the case, the machine that we had to cross worlds should work again, Kratos thought, running to his private place in Wegalia, after sending a reply message to Forcystus' ranch. He had Jade build the Multi-Gate machine in his own tower to prevent Mithos from finding it. After all, Mithos was usually too busy to even chat with Kratos unless it was something much more irritating.

"This won't end, not until you're safe," he whispered carefully. "Wait for me."

---

Mithos grunted. So he applied the usage of the seventh force of nature, only before discovered in Auldrant, to the machine to break it quite easily. When he did, not only did he meet someone from Auldrant, but he opened all gates back to original status.

"So, Van, was it?"

"Yes."

"Tell me. How exactly did you reach this side?"

"Dying once is hard on you, but with the power of the seventh fonon itself, I reached a great source of power."

Mithos turned back to snap his fingers at Pronyma. "Check on Forcystus. He didn't respond much during the last meeting. I'm... concerned."

Yawning softly, Emily stretched herself out across the grass lining the neat, stone walkway of Malkuth Academy's main courtyard. Not only was she treading on an area that was marked with a sign stating "Do Not Step on Grass", but she was dressed in patched, bell-bottomed jeans and a loose, black sweatshirt. Chestnut hair splayed over her shoulders, her eyes were trained upon the could above her, arms pulled up above her head and legs bent at the knee.

Hearing the sound of approaching footsteps, she didn't bother to look- the whispers of those passing her by had long since lost their meaning to her, and she no longer cared for their hushed voices and stares at her irrational behavior. Hell, if they had a problem with it, they could deal with her.

"How long's it been, eh?" she murmured softly, watching lazily as a bird flit past her gaze, "Six months, I guess..." She sighed a bit as the bird movedout of her area of focus, before spotting a familiar face out of the corner of her eye. Propping herself up on her elbows, she managed to lift a hand to wave at the approaching teen.

"Rin!" she called, pushing her hair from her face, "How're you doing?"

--

Volker snorted softly. His legs were propped up on a desk, arms folded behind his head, his customary poncho missing for a streamlined shirt, lacking the sleeve on one side, while the other reached down to his fingertips. Emerald eyes watched carefully, eyeing the person standing in front of him.

"What do you mean, uniform?" he asked lazily, waving off the flustered administrator, "I'm not a student, idiot."

--

Meanwhile, back in Iselia, an agitated soldier knocked against Forcystus' door, before opening it. He tipped his head before speaking.

"Master Forcystus, Lady Pronyma would like... to speak with you, sir." he muttered, averting his gaze as the tall, lanky Cardinal moved towards him, "She said it's urgent, but that was all."

"Understood," Forcystus replied, already out the door, "I'll handle this myself."

"Hey there!" Rin shouted as she headed down the steps of the dormitory. The peaceful smell of early summer resonated in the courtyard and the sunshine was the perfect amount since it was covered by clouds, but still peeked through the outline of the clouds. She sighed in contentment and inhaled deeply. Rin then, ran over to Emily and sat down on the grass beside her.

"Beautiful day, huh? Not too sunny... just right.." She smiled and looked around. Rin's attention soon went from weather to Emily's attire. She just smiled.

"Not wearing the uniform again, huh?" Rin grinned and cocked an eyebrow.

"I hate skirts," Emily replied, grumbling softly. She pulled herself up, folding her legs before eyeing the sky again, "I don't know how you can stand them."

She laughed lightly, one hand in the pocket of her sweatshirt. "Besides, I've got enough english to be a college professor, and could really care less about the rest of my education... I mean seriously, if the headmaster yells at me again, I'll just whip out my newest technique on him."

She grinned broadly, teeth gleaming in the warming rays of the sun. "I figured out how to warp people's thoughts a bit, you could say."

--

"Listen, punk," Volker growled, stnading. He drew himself up to his full height, strolling leisurely over to the headmaster, "I've got more years on me then you could ever dream of living. I've got people to see on campus, and by Martel I'm going to see them." Turning on his heel, he strut out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

"M...martel?" the headmaster murmured, rubbing his chin, "Who could that be...?" Shrugging, he stepped out of the room, warily eyeing Volker's back as he turned the corner at the end of the hallway. "What a strange man..."

Chris smiled slightly, in a tree about ten yards away. He was in more normal attire than during their adventure, though his sword and armor will still in his dorm. Cless, about three branches up, grinned at the sight of their friends. "Go talk to 'em." He whispered to Chris. Chris shook his head. "Be that way." Cless growled, shoving him out of the tree.

"Owwwww..." Chris said, dusting himself off. Cless continued to smirk among the branches, hidden in the leaves. Well, now was as good a time as any. He strolled up to his companions, not saying anything.

"Heheh... yeah. You get used to the skirts." Rin laughed quietly and stared at the sky. The grayish blue color that was present in the sky was pleasant and comforting.

"Anyway, I figure it's important to get a good education, whether I want it or not. That math test was murder.." She said, while massaging her temples.

"Hm?" Rin perked up her head, and got really quiet. She had heard some rustling in the leaves. Turning her head around, Rin could see Chris approaching.

"Hey!" She yelled and waved him over.

Chris quickened his pace, quickly meeting with his friends. "How are you two?" He asked quietly. His old, tempermental, happy-go-lucky attitude was long gone. He was now the quiet one around the group. He still occasionally played around, but that was on rare occasions.

"I'm okay. Are you okay?" Rin asked as she pointed to a spot on the grass and motioned for him to sit.

"Yeah, I'm great. He said, almost under his breath. It seemed the school day was coming to a close. "Well, I'm wasted. 'The Landscape and History of Auldrant', 'A Study on Fonons', 'Algebra 11', 'Spells of Old', 'Hyperresonance: Occurances and Users', and my personal favorite, 'Sword Training'." He groaned, reciting his class list as he sat.

"That sounds pretty bad." Rin replied, "I understand, though. I had a math test that I was sure was trying to reconfigure my thinking process." Stretching out on the grass, she breathed deeply and gazed at the sky. Clouds formulated over the scenery and different shades of blue and yellow streaked across the sky, only adding to the effect.

"It's nice to be out for the weekend." She said as she twirled the end of her braid around her finger. Fumbling with it for a moment, Rin undid the tie and let her hair fall out of the plait. Her hair reached about midback and bounced about her shoulders.

"That's better." Rin sighed and stretched again on the grass.

Chris ran a hand through his hair. "Oh boy, report cards come out tomorrow. I can't wait to tally up the F's." He sighed grimly, expecting about half his grades to be failing. He didn't mind so much anyome, after first semester's grades. He'd recieved straight failures, other than in Sword Training. He sighed again, and drew up a rock from the ground. He chucked it as hard as he coud at the tree Cless was in, making him fall to the ground. "What was that for?!" Cless yelled. "You shoved me out of a tree." Chris replied calml, leaning back and putting his hand on the ground behind him.

"...Okay.. why were you guys in a tree?" Rin asked as she looked at Cless, then Chris, then back at Cless.
