It was a beautiful day. Echo moved cautiously along the tree line, just outside of them, humming her wordless songs. The sun was glinting off of the water, and she just knew it was going to be a wonderful day. The birds were singing, the water was burbling, and the entire world was dancing.
It was spring.
Even those durn butterflies that constantly trailed her were happy, spinning about her legs, giving her a personal breeze.
The downside to Spring?
Pollen. She sneezed, eyes red and watery, giving the sky a baleful glare. How many Soquili had mild allergies to themselves? Annoyed, she bent down, latching hold of the flowers on her vined legs and tugged as hard as she could.
Futile.
She would have cried, but her eyes were already watery enough.

Shaking out his long silver-white mane, Crousader fanned his wings to dry them after the dunking they had recieved during his bath. Blessedly, his two-legger had gone off hunting nearby. Thus sparing the white stallion from the all too obvious grin.
Yup, he knew darn well he looked like a giant half-drowned bird, especially with his mane hanging in unkempt straggles around his un-armored face and his wings half spread in the sun.
Didn't mean he appreciated the human's smile, though the help in removing the heavy helm, breast collar, and leg bands had been.

She stumbled into the water, a bit downstream from the other soquili, thought she could sense he was there. A glance upstream at the stallion had her blinking. Poor thing.... he looked like he'd barely escaped being drowned. His wings were all fluffed up. He must be cold?
She pranced over, feeling very important. When SHE had been cold, Guilian had offered a wing- she should pass it on, right? She cleared her throat, fluffing her own wings and splashing a bit.

A gusty sigh had just escaped his lungs when vigorous splashing brought his attention downstream. Bemused and slightly sun dazed, he thought for a moment the approaching soquili was a piece of the stream itself. Until the stream's teal and silver resolved itself into wings and the black shadows become the all-too familiar form of a mare.
Suddenly awake, Crousader's bright blue eyes snapped open and he snorted, unable to supress the backstep he took towards the bank.

Ah! Echo watched the white stallion backpedal away from her and flung herself to a halt. Green eyes looked about, cautiously. Had she missed something? No, no, nothing was near. She didn't have a smake in her hair. Was he.....
Had she.....?
...... Curses! The first time she'd ever approached another soquili, and she'd done it all wrong, hadn't she? She gave a low nicker and made a face of apology for startling the other soquili. Should she try again? But she had no cheerful words with which to greet the stallion... hmmm.
A puzzle.
