I've heard to many times of christians putting down Jews and non Jesus believers.
This is putting down God. God has hardened their hearts against Jesus and He has set a time that he will reveal Himself to them.
Just as He hardened Pharoh's heart to continue to keep the isrealites in Egypt.
Do not question His ways.

I think Jews are cool. biggrin Seriously, I hold nothing against them, and I have great respect towards them. They are God's people, and they love the same God we do. And you're right, God will reveal Himself to them (I think...don't remember the specific verse) when it is time. biggrin

I have a few friends who are Jewish. They're holidays are fun. XD
I agree with both of you guys. I don't put down Jews. I treat them like everyone else. They ARE like everyone else, so why treat them any differently?

Same here. I've got some Jewish friends as well and then there are a lot just around me in general and I treat them the way I would my other Christian friends. Because of the class we're in together, we're even learning about each other's religions, which will hopefully help us to understand each other better.

I hate it when people bash Jews. Even if you do think they are going to hell (which you shouldn't) they are still people, and you need to treat all people with respect and loving kindness.
To be quite honest, I don't have any Jewish friends (not by choice), but I do know Christians who have Jewish friends, and it's great. If I met a Jew, I would have no problem being friends with him or her. Especially since I have a few things in common with Jewish religion. I mean, I keep the Sabbath, and I don't eat unclean meats either. In fact, I think that a Jew might be even more accepting of me than many Christians I have known.
The thing that annoys me the most is the stereotype that Jews are all rich and they all try to cheat you. My dad has always tried to pound that into my head since I was a kid, and I never could accept it, because it is an ignorant generalization.

I recently read "Your People Shall Be My People" by Don Finto. So I am so excited that this post here was so positive towards the jews. xd

I believe that the Jews are the chosen people of God. I've never met any Jews myself, but if I ever did I would be honoured. And yes, God has hardened their hearts and all that will come to pass in Isreal has been foretold by the prophets and the Book of Revelations. The whole unclean and clean rules in the Bible pertaining to food and such I think that God would still have it the same way he did back then today. Although I still tend to eat unclean things...hmm...let me think about that...well, it I do, I don't think God'll condemn me for it...er...I'm having second thoughts... xd But yes, I don't hate the Jews. And as I said before, I would be honored to meet one. biggrin

Yeah, I have some jewish friends too. I don't see why anybody would treat them differently than anybody else. That doesn't convey the love of Christ if we bash them (which I don't understand in the first place confused ). There cool. biggrin

The way I see it is, To say you don't like Jewish people just because they are in fact Jewish, is as good as saying you don't like Jesus and if that's the case then the only person your truly not happy with is clearly yourself. wink
|
