Facing West into the sun- and moon- set, the Temple of the Sun is forged of ornate marble pillars and carved lintels depicting the path of the sun across the sky. Stone steps lead into the cool shade of the interior, which is lined with alcoves holding statues of the God Sol in his different forms; like the sun he is associated with, he is shown in many stages. For the new-born rising sun, he is shown as a handsom young warrior, fierce and strong, carrying a spear. For the sun at mid-day, he is depicted at middle age, bearded, holding a balanced scale to represent wise judgement. For the sun as it sets, he is represented by an elderly man cloaked and hooded, an olive branch in his hand to represent new beginings. He is worshiped for all those reasons, a God of the Sun, of Bravery and Battle, of Wisdom and Justice, of Balance and New Beginings. And above all, of Manhood. The Priests of this temple welcome all to worship here, as long as respect is shown; they garb themselves in flowing white robes, many-rayed suns tattoo'd in the center of their foreheads, the mark of their order. Known for their apptitude with battle magicks, and sense of justice, the Priests of Sol are granted divine magicks by their God grant protection in battle and give insight into correcting the balance in your life. If you are in need of answers, or blessings, this is the place to come seeking them.
