Facing East into the sun- and moon-rise, the Temple of the Moon is forged of ornate marble pillars and carved lintels depicting the fazes of the moon. Stone steps lead into the cool shade of the interior, which is lined with alcoves holding statues of the Goddess Selena in her different forms; like the moon she is associated with, she is shown in many fazes. For the new moon, she is shrouded in a black cloak, her face hidden in mystery. For the waxing phases, she is a beautiful warrior maiden bearing a sword, full of youth and fierce vitality. At the full moon, she is bright and round with child, showing maternal warmth. For the waning phases, she grows older and carries a staff, depicting aged wisdom. She is worshiped for all those reasons, a Goddess of the Moon, of Childbirth and Maternity, of Youth and Beauty, and above all, of Womanhood. The Priestesses of this temple welcome all to worship here, as long as respect is shown; they garb themselves in flowing white robes, cresent moons lying on their edge tattoo'd in the center of their foreheads, the mark of their order. Known for their healing skills, the Priestesses of Selena are granted these divine magicks by their Goddess to help those in need. If you are in need of Healing, this is the place to come.
