The docks that line the bay are the one mooring place on the island where ships can unload cargo to trade, pick up goods, and find the occassional berk to pay coin for passage to other lands...though usually, people are more in-coming than out-going from Aleron. See the portly Dockmaster about paying your docking fee if you cast your mooring line here, and be welcome in Ancar.

The waves of the ocean lapped against a old wooden dock. The busy port busled, ships coming and going fishermen talking, fishstands throwing fish and haggling with customers. All was going fine. Seagulls landing on the dock suddenly scattered as a drenched hand burst from the water gripping the dock, Nearby fishermen were the first to notice as a second hand appeared, silence spread over the dock as all peered wondering what was happening The hands strained as a beat-up brown leather tri-corner hat appeared over the dock as the hand was followed by the rest of the arm. Sea water dripped off the hat and body. The hat led to a man pulling himself up on the dock as the onlooking mob stared in wonder. The man from the sea jerked on his coat sending sprey everywhere. He removed the hat shaking it, As green eyes took notice of the crowd watching him. He smirked and took a bow. The crowd collectively rolled their eyes. As most were familure with his antics. He strolled down the dock as the portly dockmaster stepped in his way. "Evenin Hiro" He said. Hiro leaned back a bit raising an eyebrow. "Its captain Hiro thank you and why are you in my way." The dock master held out his hand for the docking fee. Hiro rubbed his stubble covered chin and a smirk crossed Captain Hiros lips, as sea water dripped off him. "You can plainly see I didnt tie up a boat." The dockmaster shook his head and stepped out of the way, he didnt like Captain Hiro and He didnt like being skimped out of his docking fee. But It couldnt be helped. Captain Hiro strolled away whistling.

The Captain was in a bad mood, He'd been shanghaied into some fight with something that had wings and not to mention drug around by that... that... that woman. He had half a mind to get back to his ship and fire the bloody city. The dock master still angry about being skimped attemted to step in his way only to be shoved out of the pirates path. His long walk came to an abrupt end at the edge of the short pier. In his annoyence and muttering he cursed himself for not bringing a boat. He kicked the one of the poles and followed that pointless actions up with a string of curses that would make even his crew blush. That was it the wench of a sherriff had ruined his day compleatly and she was going to pay... Just as soon as he found a crew. The boat was getting lonely. Step one crew step two revenge. He made a mental check list. he then revised set check list. Step one Rum Step two crew step three revenge.
The portly port master mustered up all his courage, that young punk was going to learn his lesson to day. With a lowd scream he balled up his fist the pirate cocked his head and stepped aside as the port master was "de ported" into the drink.
the pireate sighed and tossed him a rope before making his way back to town with a purpose.

Xandra grinned as the port master splashed in the water, grabbing at the rope. The pirate was mad, that was good. NightDancer was at her home in the forest, giving Xandra more invisibility. She followed the pirate with her cloak falling all the way to the floor and her hood laying a shadow on her face. The best way for an assasin to find a job was to find someone angry first. Whenever someone's angry, there has to be someone they're angry at. If someone's this angry, maybe they were angry enough to want someone killed. That was where Xandra came in. She picked up her speed a few steps and followed the pirate from a few feet away.

The pirate captain Heard the footsteps of his newest stalker. He threw his arm back in a wide ark turning around to face what may or may not be a hostle entity. Mostly the dramatics were just a figure of how annoyed he was. His eyes stared through the girl to the seas horizon.
"Ello lass, I'd be much obliged if you'd give me more than one reason not to cut you down where ye stand"

Xandra stopped as the pirate stopped, a smile playing on her hidden lips. "Ive simply come to offer my services to you." She said, innocently. "Unless you'd prefer to go about, taking your anger out on poles and port masters." An arm clothed in black leather and deep purple cloth left her black cloak and reached into the shadows of her hood, brushing a strand of hair away from her eyes.

The pirates eyes narrowed, He took a deep breath. "Look lass, unless you come to join my crew, I dont really know what services you'd have that would be any interest to me."

"I'm sure my services would interest you very much." Xandra said, walking closer so she didn't have to talk so loud. "now Ive had experience as a mercinary, so I'd be happy to join your crew for a while, as long as it pays. But my true gift is in the art of assasination." She murmered the last sentence, glancing around quickly. "Now, you're angry at someone, I can tell that. But is it someone you'd be angry enough at, to want them killed?"

The captain ignored the last bit about killing the captain of the gaurd. It didnt seem like a profitable venture to him, he intended to make her life miserable. If she was out of the way there would be a power void and that would wreak havoc on the town, while this would be entertaining and gave him more than a few ammusing ideas, it would be bad for business. The business of piracy only works if someone owns what your stealing, and with the looting and fighting that would insue with the disappearence of the only real law in the city. Well it was a bad idea, for now. The pirate stoped suddenly and a small smile crossed his face.
"Crew splits the pull evenly, as well as the work."
He grabbed her arm and pulled her off the beaten path to the beach and began knocking on trees and listening to the echo. Hearing nothing he pranced to the next repeating the process.

As her arm was grabbed, Xandra instinctivly drew her dagger, but stopped herself just before running it into the pirate's back. she wouldn't get very much money of him then anyway, pirates hid most of their loot in secret places, didn't they. She just stood there, rolling her eyes as the man knocked on trees.

The very next tree sounded hallow. He nelt down and dusted sand off a box buried in the ground. Opening it he pulled out a foot and a half long stick Grinning like an idiot at the girl. Almost as if he'd just done something totally amazing.

Xandra looked at the man's stick, frowning. "You know what, maybe coming with you was a bad idea.." She said, starting to back up.

"Your loss love"
The pirate smirked holding the stick up it the air. This artifact had come in damn usefull many a times since he liberated it from that bloody white tower. He snapped his fingers and the top of the stick ignighted in a green flame. The pirate then proceded to wave it around franticly before snapping again to extinguish the flame. He smiled back to the girl then turned to look for a responce from his ship.

Xandra looked at him, obviously not impressed. Every mage she knew could make fire, without snapping and without a stick. "I hope you don't expect that to change my mind." She said disgustedly. She stood there for a few seconds, then rolled her eyes. "Alright, I'll come." She said finally. This could be interesting. And anyway, sail with a crazy guy for a few days and get payed, that'd be worth it.
