Along the main road that runs through Ancar from the gates to the palace itself lies the great city square. Here is housed the city marketplace, filled with merchants, street vendors...and the occasional cut-purse. The city guard holds regular patrols through the crowded streets, and can often be spotted marching through the throng. Every hour the clock tower bells chime the hour in their pretty tones, ringing over the square and out across the city.

Lily found a nice place in the shade. Setting down her pack she looked around at the crowds. Her dark hair fell over her shoulders as her green eyes took in the scene. Taking a coin out of her pocket she began to spin it on her knuckles. Mumbling a word unDer her breath there was suddenly 3 coins on her knuckles. She flipped them back and forth letting them shine in the sun. Trying to catch peoples attention. She kicked a small bag out in front of her for any coins people would like to drop in. It was hard work creating the illusions but it ussually got her enough money for supper. Sighing lightly she made the coins do flips along her knuckles careful not to drop them. A breeze gently moved her hair. A ruby glistened at her neck as she looked to see if anyone had taken any notice...

The cute elf pranced through the market, Stopping to look at the pretty bobbles. Her sunshine colored hair only outshone by her smile. She basked in the sunlight happy as can be. Her earthy green eyes fell on a street performer. The elf paused to watch a moment.

Lily nodded and smiled as a well dressed gentleman dropped a few measly coins into her purse. She noticed an elf watching her but showed no emotion. She had learned long ago that not all the elves were her friends. Indeed none of the were and would gladly hold her for ransom from her father. Sighing she tossed a coin to a young lad only to make it diappear in his hands smiling consolingly she put her coin away and slowly made a small flame appear in her hand. This was not an illusion but most thought it was. This ussually ment the elves as well.

Ping smiled to the girl intriged by the fire. Her head cocked to one side her golden locks falling to the side. She reached into her purse and tossed the girl a coin. In a sweet sing songy voice. "I'm sorry my dear thats all the extra I brought today"

Lily gritted her teeth at the name of 'dear' but held her temper. Here in the real world she was not a princess and couldnt act like one. Smiling she spoke, "Thank you miss" Her voice light and welcoming. She nursed the flame by her magic until it stood about 4 inces high. Then she moulded it into a tiny running horse. The horse reared and the crowd fell back with a gasp. Moving her hand over it the horse diappeared and a new shape began to form. This one was of the castle in the city. Each wall had little figures moving along it and the flags flew proudly from the pentants(sp?). Lily had been practicing this one for weeks.

The metalic ring of horseshoes sang on the cobblestones as the milling crowd began to shift, breaking to admit a straight-backed rider who swept her gaze from person to person in a watchful fashion. The horse was tall, a good fourteen hands of proud black beast, and added to the significant height of his rider so that she towered over the populace, giving her a full range of visability.
Checking the stallion's pace with a nudge of her heels, Captain Falloner lead her mount forward at a sedate walk as she continued her rounds. There were others to delegate such work to, but in truth she was avoiding the rapidly growing mound of paperwork on her desk that badly needed seeing to. Resisting the urge to sigh at the thought, she tugged sharply on her leather gloves and shifted her grip on the reins when the stallion tossed his shaggy mane restlessly. A small smile curved her mouth and she patted his neck in sympathy, murmuring softly.
"I know boy, I'm bored too."

Ping curtsies to the woman on the horse. She and Ms. Tarma had crossed paths many a time. Mostly after tavern tussles, They had a fairly good relationship as far as ping was conserned. She smiled brushed a strand of gold hair out of her green eyes. "Good eve mamm"

Lily watched as the woman approached. Shehad never seen her before but deducted that she was an important person. Still holding the castle she made a slight curtsy and ran her hand over the castle. It melted back to a small flame which she extingiushed. She was interested in this new woman who looked like a born fighter. Her horse was also a magnificent creature one Lily would love to own someday. Lily looked up and decided that it was almost time for lunch. Her dark hair glistened in the noon day sun as she waited for the crowd to disperse.

The bustling crowd in the market had stopped to watch the man that flew into the air, there was a bit of a murmuring as people looked back and forth trying to make sense of it, none of them seemed to notice the hulking beast making his way through them. He bumped into a shop keeper causing him to turn to apologize, expecting to meet someone face to face her met green abs, his eyes traveled up to find dark beedy eyes glaring through a tattered burlap mask. There was a low growl and a snort, about that point the shop keep screamed the crowd around Smiley backed quickly away. The troll looked to the sky, brushing a stray orange hair back into his mohawk. Under the mask the shop keep caught a glimpse of a sharp tusk, before Smiley's beady eyes diverted the shop keeps attention nerviously to his wares. Smiley glared both ways causing the weapons he carried on his back to clank, he growled and the crowd quickly went back to their business. Occasionally giving him a nervous glance.

"He's a troll, not a monster. And I'm looking for him because he's lost, obviously."
The elf's strides ate up the cobblestones as she marched along at the strangers side, constantly scanning the area for signs of carnage, mayhem, and half-chewed body parts. Her prim tone made it seem as though his words had been insulting, and that the distinction was necessary.
"And you shouldn't call him that. You wouldn't like it if I called your friends nasty names. Unless you haven't any. In which case, it's a moot point really."
She was talking, but in a distracted way, as though not really thinking about the words she used. The crowd ahead was milling in an un-uniform fashion, as though eager to be gone as quickly and quietly as possible. Standing on her tip toes, Aria looked over the heads of the congregation. The action was unnecesary. A blind man could have spotted the green colosus with his shock of orange hair, standing in the Square staring at the sky.
With a yip of excitement, she spun around to face the staff-bearer, a grin spreading that lit up her whole countenance, turning the pretty into the lovely.
"I found him!"

Clavian had been strolling along at an easy pace, paying only the slightest heed to the litany accompanying him but slowly becoming aware that he and the woman were heading upstream, for want of a better term, as if the crowds were anxious to get away from something.
'Something' turned out to be exactly what his temporary companion had been looking for. Clavian turned to look at her, his one visible eyebrow disappearing into his hood.
"That's your friend...?"

Smiley was oblivious that his friend had found him, or was even searching for him. He continued watching the man on the tower. Smiley was getting hungry, the last thing he ate was a fox in the woods outside the castle walls. It had been a good couple hours. He reached back and scrached his butt snorting in an annoyed tone. He looked around for something to eat.
