On the chalkboard he'd written: 'nonviolent', 'likes mountains and clouds', and 'hate injustice and cruelty'.

Fleur paused in front of the door to his next class to catch his breath. After this class, he promised himself he was going to take a break to recover more. The ankle in its cast was really beginning to bother him from walking so much lately though it was apparently healing just fine as was his wrist. His eye was another story - he was told he might need glasses permanently depending on how extensive the damage was. For now, it was still bandaged shut, leaving him with only one eye to work with for at least another week.
Aube en Argent looked up at him worriedly and nuzzled his leg, chirping her concern. Fleur smiled down at her and scratched her chin. "I'm okay," he reassured her. She had only hatched a few days ago, but he already adored her. She was plain silver, a mix of his own black and white, but he thought she was gorgeous.
Having taken a moment to regain his composure, Fleur gave Argent one last stroke and opened the door a little ways to make sure this was even the right room.

When a kid got a dragon normally they would end up exhausted with all that it took to take care of one of them, same with the parents. No so when it came to Valens instead it would seem it was the exact opposite... Poor Ellie was being driven to keep up with her boy, was being pushed to help keep him on track since he seemed to be unable to figure out his directions so they were always going on 'adventures' as Valens had started to call the times he was getting lost.
Today was no different, Ellie had found the place first, listened in, sniffed at the door before going back to find Valens who trailed behind then ended up going down the wrong hall way. She caught hold of his hand in her mouth, not hard enough to hurt him just to lead him, and brought him to where the class was being held.
Valens lifted a hand up to open the door and walked in, looking around before waving, "Hello!" Greeting the tall boy, Valens was already showing sights of his 'draft breed' size, almost five foot already and still growing.... he almost looked like one of the other kids were he not matched with a younger dragon who had sat down at his side, sighing in relief. They had made it Ellie thought to herself, then looked around. Ahh! Another dragon!? And not just another dragon but one that was a mirror image of her?! She pushed up from sitting down to walked over to look at Argent, then bowed her head in polite greeting.
Valens of course was about the opposite, "Wait... PHIL! Is that you?!" He asked, excited, forgetting for a moment why he'd come here when he saw his friend from the candy shop and clip-clopped over to him.

Peri smiled as the skunk boy entered. "Hello..." He greeted Fleur, noticing the boy's condition. But then another dragonet led in a rather large and older looking boy. But the dragon appeared the right age for his class and when he glanced at his notes, he saw that Valens was about the same age as his own son. Just much, much taller.
"Okay, then. We can go ahead and get started." Peri was rather used to these small class sizes, seeing how most of time this class was a solo one. This was one of those few classes where there were actually two kids. "We'll start off with any questions you might have..."

Argent chirped at the new dragon and sniffed at her, surprised and delighted at seeing another dragon, especially one of her same species. She had not expected that at all. Fleur gave Valens a tired, one-eyed smile in greeting.
"Hi..." Fleur awkwardly reached into the messenger bag he always carried with him, reminded of something. He had been carrying it around with him ever since he finished it in the hopes that he would run into Valens again. "I finished your hat!" He held up a green and blue ski cap with a pompom of yarn on the top and ear flaps down the side, a bright red apple intricately knitted into the forehead of the cap. He had improved greatly in his knitting though not in time to spare Argent the humiliation of her purple sweater which was dragging along the floor and tripping her.
At Peri's question, Fleur drew his attention back to the instructor and asked the question which had been nagging at him ever since he first learned of his dragon's species, "Wh-What all can she do...? Can she breathe fire like in the books?"

Valens' eyes widened a bit as he took in Fleur, he looked a bit beat up... he wondered what had happened but he was horribly distracted by the hat that the skunk boy took out of the bag. He looked it over then gave a happy sound, "Awesome!" He said instantly pulling it on. This was the coolest hat ever! It even had an apple on it, "Your the best Phil."
He then turned to look over at the teacher when he asked about if they had any questions and he looked over at Fleur when he asked his, this only made the horse boy get horribly excited over the idea, "They can spit fire?" He asked, looking over at his dragon, "Ellie! Spit fire!"
She blinked at him a couple of time, thinking on it... inhaled deeply then breathed out... nothing. Nope, no luck in making fire it would seem.

Peri chuckled at Ellie's attempt to breathe fire. "No, silvers don't breathe fire. They can use a frost attack instead." With a smile at Valens, Peri continued. "And they won't be able to use it until they get a bit older. They're still babies right now." Okay, so big babies with large teeth and claws, but still babies.

"Oh..." Fleur drawled, trying to picture Argent coughing up ice cubes. "Is that all she'll be able to do? And what kinds of things do they usually like?" He desperately wanted to get Argent some presents other than the horrible sweater he knitted, but he had no idea what dragons were interested in.
Argent, meanwhile, was occupying herself smoothing out the fur of Fleur's broad tail, running her claws through it though she kept having to push up the sleeves of her sweater to keep it out of her way. She was rather aloof and did not see much point in learning about her species. She figured if she could do it, she would learn it by herself.

"Frost attack." Valens mused looking over at Ellie who was sitting there half listening to what was being said and half watching the other silver dragon, tail swishing, "I heard that they like all kinds of food, will try anything given the chance. Does that mean should I learn to cook for her then?" A very odd question but he figured since he was supposed to be learning to take care of her it meant taking up odd jobs as well.
Already Ellie was best friends with his mother who was Betty Crocker in disguise as a Mommy or so his father was always telling him. The Silver loved her cooking and his mother could cook a variety of things, maybe he could learn from her?

"Well, silvers can also produce a paralyzing gas," Peri told the boys, looking at Fleur. "And, like most dragons, they like jewels, though silvers prefer jewelry over loose stones. Silvers can also learn to take the form of a human or elf as they get older. And they like the cold.""
The man's attention shifted over towards the horse boy and he grinned. "Yes, silvers love to try different types of foods and are always excited to try something new."

That got Argent's attention. She could shapeshift?
Mirroring her enthusiasm despite his exhaustion, Fleur squeaked, "She can shapeshift? Can she turn into animals too, or just people?" Argent squeezed her eyes shut and tried to shift though she ended up just looking constipated. "And can she have chocolate? Bah says dogs shouldn't have chocolate, but I don't know about dragons...Argent, you look like you need a laxative."
Argent snapped her eyes back open and balked at that accusation, sulking.

Valens filed the answer away as 'Yes, he should in fact learn to cook' before his mind was moving on to other things.
Woah! Shapeshifting! Ellie was gonna be able to turn into other stuff when she got older for reals? He looked over at his Silver dragon with excitement in his eyes. Silver dragons were the coolest dragons ever he decided... even know he knew very little if anything about any other dragon. He was being biased he was sure but... it didn't matter. He could be since Ellie was his right?
"What about the thing with the Red Dragons? Heard that Silver can't stand them. Should Phil and I not take classes with students that have Reds in them?" He asked of his teacher.

Peri tried not to laugh at Argent's expression. "Just humanoid forms, I believe. They mostly stick to humans and elves, though the bronze dragon can shapeshift into small animals." He grinned and almost laughed, managing to stay in control. "And she can have chocolate. And most any other sweet." Heck, some dragons ate gemstones, so chocolate surely couldn't do any harm!
The man turned more serious at Valens' question. "While it's true that they don't like one another, it's usually because they're fighting for the same type of territory. Though some of that grudge could carry over genetically, I suppose." Okay, so Peri wasn't much into the science, but that could happen, right? "But, I don't think problems would arise much in the classroom. And I'm sure that if you told her that you frowned upon being mean towards other dragons, she'd listen."

"Aw," Fleur drooped a little. He had been hoping Argent could learn to shift into brightly colored birds and other animals, but just because she was limited to humans did not mean he adored her any less. He perked up again at the assurance about chocolate though, looking down at his dragon. "Donuts on the way home?"
Argent beamed up at him and nodded vigorously, wiggling her rump in anticipation. She had gotten hold of a plain glazed one not too long ago, so she had been allowed to have those every so often, but now that Fleur knew she could have chocolate, he wanted to get her a chocolate-covered or filled one as a treat.
Fleur tilted his ears back when he registered Valens' question and Peri's response to it, and he asked, "What about leviathans?" He knew that shark boy's dragon was a leviathan just from asking around and wondered if he would have to hold Argent back from extracting revenge should they ever run into him. Argent rumbled in her throat, knowing why he asked that. As far as she, Stevie, and Chrysler were concerned, Simon needed to be taught a lesson though Fleur was content to just avoid ever seeing him again.

Valens wondered if apples counted in the sweet catergory, they were sweet to him. Did that mean that Ellie would appreciate an apple as much as he did? He gave a bit of a grin, that sounded great! Maybe he could get them some after class was over?
"I will keep an eye on her then." He told the teacher, while he would like to say he would stop her the dragon was rather strong for a little one. He could only hope that she didn't get it into her head that red dragons were bad and she needed to deal with them, what if they were bigger? What if Ellie got hurt because she was messing with one? He looked a little worried about that but he figured he could do his best to keep that from happening, good thing he was on the strong side he could maybe hold her back? Hrm...
He looked over at Fleur, confused. He'd not read anything about Silvers not liking Leviathans, maybe Fleur had seen some books that he had missed? So he turned to look at the teacher to await his anwser.
