galloprider vollyballrocks91 Aqua stood at the edge of the stream, bending her head down to drink the clear refreshing water now and then. It was a nice day, a few white clouds hung in the blue sky but it was fairly warm. The sun beat down upon her but the cool breeze leveled her temperature out.
Akio was off with Ireland, once again practicing his flying. She wasn't sure how the little one was able to concentrate on one thing for so long. Or how Ireland wasn't exhausted with how much she was watching him lately. But she was very grateful to the mare. Things were definately looking up for her and her family.

Cheveyo shook his head, "No. I just got word my mother was attacked or chased by something. They said she was pretty battered and she's refusing to tell my father what it was. I don't want to take any chances till we figure out what happened. I have a messanger going back and forth, giving me the lastest news. Till then I won't leave the herd. Not till we find out what is going on." he said. Cheveyo nuzzled her lightly.

"Attacked her?? I hope she's alright, she's not seriously hurt is she?" She looked up at him with worry and concern on her face. Magic was a very nice mare, at least she was when they met, and wondered what sort of thing could have attacked her. Aqua nuzzled him back and rested her head against his neck. "Ireland can take care of Akio if something attacked, right?"

"I don't know if she's ok. I haven't seen her yet. My Father will watch her, but I'm scared for my herd and sister. Most of all you. Ireland has fought a demon before. She could protect Akio without a doubt. You forget, we also have SnowChaser. He is just as capable of protecting Akio too. He'll be fine. I'm just worried what we're up against." Cheveyo looked down at her and nuzzled her lovingly.

"I'm sure everything will be okay. I mean, what could possibly be out there that could hurt her that bad? Maybe she had her guard down and a cougar took advantage of that..?" She really had no idea what it could have been but she wasn't about to assume the worst since it would only make her worry more. Aqua nuzzled him back lightly.

Cheveyo shook his head, "A cougar couldn't have scared her that bad. She's fought them before. Something new. Thats about all I know." he said nuzzling her back. He was worried but he had to be strong for the herd and his family.

"Either way I'm sure whatever it was won't come around here. Nothing would dare challenge a big strong stallion as yourself", she smiled and tugged on his ear, trying to lighten the mood a little.

Aqua giggled and tugged on his ear more. "You know what might take your mind off of this for a while? A little surprise. Although I think Akio would want to show you rather than me tell you. If you're up for it that is", she smiled.

"Oh dear no, I wouldn't dare bring another one of those scaly creatures here"", she nipped at him playfully. Aqua whinnied off into the distance and perked her ears, wondering if he had heard her or not.
Akio swooped down and landed beside Cheveyo and his mother, folding his wings down beside him. The little colt had grown into a teen now and all that practicing had payed off. "What do you think?", he asked, trotting around happily. "I look pretty good, don't I?", he laughed.
Aqua rolled her eyes. "Oh please, Akio."

Cheveyo chuckled, "My you've grown. What are we going to do with you?" he looked at Aqua, winking at her, "Aqua I think It's time Akio did work for the herd. You know, the boring stuff, like patroling and cleaning out the cave."
Ireland landed a few feet from the group. Her land was graceful and clean. She stood quietly, nipping at grass.

"Ya know, I think that's a fabulous idea! It'll keep him on his hooves and out of trouble as well", she grinned a bit.
"That is so not fair!", he groaned. "You guys wouldn't do that to me, would you? I'll be good I promise! Just please don't make me do the boring stuff!"

"Daaadddd! That's not fair!" Akio just stood there looking at them and realized they weren't changing their minds. "Fine!" He trudged over to Ireland but kept on going past her.
Aqua laughed quietly and snuggled against Cheveyo. "He's not gonna be happy about that, I hope you know."
