Tequila and Vodka had made an effort to spend more time together lately, especially with the coming of the nice weather. He was old enough now where Tequila let him do as he wished, and only observed when she could. He had grown into a fine horse, and she couldn't have been prouder. After many months went by, she realized that she had not seen him enough, and that the family closeness was starting to diminish. WIth her other children, she had to work harder to see, and it would get exhausting. She knew that Vodka went out of his way for her, and she always appreciated his kindness in doing so.
"Lets go that way." She said, quietly.--------------- Vodka strut in front of his mother, happy to be spending time with her, but then also worried about her current health. He had noticed that lately her energy level seemed lower then usual, and it made him wonder if she truly was alright. He was happy to always be there for her, but at the same time he was flustered with the responsibility of checking up on her, rather then growing up in his youthful time. He could never express such thoughts to his mother, so instead he brushed them off, and continued to do his usual routine every once in awhile. It did get exhausting, though.
"Alright Mom." He said, while still facing forward.

Dancia circled the outside of the tepee impatiently as she waited for her mother, Myoa, to come out. Myoa had promised to take Dani to the mountains so she could have a tiny taste of what it might feel like to be flying. Not that Dani wasn't happy with how she was, but she was simply curious about the secrets of the air, especially since her brother and her mother were Wind Soquili. On an impulse, Dani began clicking her tongue to call Keelee, the sea otter she had befriended when she was young, but then remembered that she couldn't take her friend along. Keelee didn't fare very well at hgh altitudes. After explaining to their adopted Cherokee "daughter" where she was going with Dancia, a peridot green mare stepped through the hide flap of their tepee and joined her first-born. Myoa was perfectly aware that Dancia was capable of visiting the mountains herself, but simply wanted her mother along. A wave of pride washed over Myoa; she was proud of her close-knit relationship with her daughter. They were best of friends, with Dancia still living with Myoa. Dani wasn't much of an adventurer, and unlike her independent brother, Danuwa.
Myoa smiled warmly at her child, then spoke the words that the sleek, tan mare had been so desperately waiting to hear. "Let's go."

Tequila increased her speed so that she was finally next to her son. It wasn't in her personality to follow behind others, afterall. "Trying to run away from me, are ya?" She giggled, nudging at his side. He looked so much like Lunaris, but had so many of her own traits. It was scary, to see something that looked so similar to her own markings, but yet had such a different personality. "Over there is a trail into the mountains, that might be a fun little walk."
------------
Vodka chuckled at his mother's humor, and returned her nudge to his side. "I am always trying to dart away." It was nice to see that she was in good spirits, but the recomendation to go to the mountain worried him a bit. "Are you sure you can handle such a walk at this moment? You seem tired, we should play it by ear and see how the trail shapes up." He didn't care at this point if that comment upset her, he would rather be safe then watch her faint.

Myoa smiled as her hooves thudded on the familiar, old mountain trail. She turned around to Dancia, saying, "I went up this mountain with one of my best friends, Tequila. I thought this would be the perfect one to show you." The young mare smiled again to herself, remember the blast that she and her "sister" had had. They had jumped right off the side of a cliff...right into the purest mountain spring you could ever find. She and Tequila were very close, just like siblings. I wonder where Tequila is right now... Myoa thought. Of course, she had no idea that the red-streaked mare was actually quite near, and with her son as well.
Dancia's eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't thought that her mother would've shown her such a sentimental spot. "T-Thank you..." She managed to stutter, quickly trotting up next to Myoa's side and giving her a warm nuzzle.
As the pair continued carefully up the mountain, Dancia's heart began to flutter at the altitude. "I feel as if I can float to the heavens..." She whispered. Taking a quick peek down, Dancia blinked in surprise. "Mom...I see two more Soquili at the base of the mountain, "They're both grey, but one has red streaks in his or her mane and tail, and the other blue and white.

They had finally reached the beginning of the mountain, and although Vodka hadn't noticed yet, Tequila had started to get excited because the green figure that she was spotting above her was indeed Myoa! They hadn't seen each other since their children were in baskets, and with the new rush of energy, Tequila started stomping her feet around, and also moving at a quicker speed. "Myoa is up there, I haven't seen her in so long, it looks like another mare is with her, I wonder if it is her daughter!!..." With small breaths Tequila kept ranting away, until she had dragged Vodka almost up to where they stood. She was beyond excited, and this was the boost she needed.
-------------
Vodka stared at his mother with complete shock, and from the slow, lagging figure that she had about two minutes ago, she had transformed into a young mare. Her reaction to her friend was a side he had never seen before, so he got excited as well. Following his mother up step by step, his eyes drifted from the stunning green mare to a younger mare that stood beside her. With little markings here and there, he couldn't help but smile at her beauty as well. Now things were getting exciting for him, especially with a pretty mare to talk to, and a good friend of his mothers to meet. He also started moving at a faster pace, so he could keep up with his mother.

Myoa's face brightened up. "Tequila!" She shouted, rushing foward to meet her friend. When Myoa had planned this mountain hike with her daughter, she had chosen this mountain because she hoped to have such a good time with her daughter as she did with her best friend. Never, however, had to expected to meet her best friend up here as well! Myoa's gaze fell on the young stallion at Tequila's side. "Her son?" she pondered aloud. He certainly looked enough like her, only in blue. However, she had no more time to wonder, she had reached Tequila. Quickly, she nuzzled her friend. "Tequila! How've you been? It's been ages!" She cried joyously. "And who's this? One of your foals all grown up?" She turned to Vodka, smiling. "I'm Myoa, an old friend of Tequila's. My, how you've grown! Last time I checked, you were still tucked up inside your basket!"
Dancia hung back uncertainly, not wishing to interupt her mother's long-deserved renunion with her friend. She glanced around shyly, wondering if she should be there at all. Her eyes caught the stallion's and she looked down quickly. Was he feeling as uncomfortable as her? Dani was feeling like she didn't belong, that her mother deserved some time catching up with Tequila. However, if would be awfully rude of her to disappear without a word, not to mention worrying. She shifted lightly of her hooves.

Tequila giggled and glowed at the response of her friend. "Myoa, it is SO great to see you. I have been fine, the same as always. And you are correct, this is my son Vodka." She turned to him and watched him bow to Myoa. "And that must be your daughter, she is so beautiful!" Her red eyes trailed to the young mare, and she warmly smiled. "This is so exciting! You look great Myoa!" "What has been keeping you busy this fine Spring?" She eagerly looked at her friend, waiting to hear what she had been up to. It really had been too long for them to not meet up. She missed seeing Myoa's happy face. "How lucky I am to run into you here!"
-----------
Vodka watched his mom's energy level go up by the second. As she introduced him to Myoa, he bowed, suavely saying, "It is a pleasure, ma'am." As he continued to watch his mother talk away, his eyes once again drifted to the quiet mare behind them. He politely excused himself from them, and strut towards the mare. "Hello there, my name is Vodka." Wisping his hair out of his face, he bowed lower this time to the lady. "What is your name?" His eyes came back onto hers, and he smiled happily to her. "I figure we can just let them talk for a second." He turned his face towards the two mothers, and then brought it back to her. "I have not seen you around this parts yet, I am upset that we haven't met sooner."

Myoa grinned cheerfully, glad to see her friend, and even more so that she was doing okay. Laughing, she gestured to the beautiful mare that was her daughter. "There's your answer!" Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Dani and Vodka slip away. She didn't blame then, after all, who wanted to listen to two motherly mares gossip? Also, her daughter had her upmost trust; Myoa knew that Dancia could take care of herself. It was time to stop clinging on to her child. She wasn't a filly anymore. Myoa turned her attention back to Tequila. She sized up her old friend with a critical eye, clicking her tongue in mock anger. "Tequila, Tequila! What have you been doing to yourself? Feasting on weeds! You've lost weight!" She rose her eyebrows, surprised. She hadn't seen Tequila lag up the mountain, so she really had no idea how her friend was doing. However, Myoa was able to conclude, upon closer inspection, that her friend was not the same mare she had known.
Dani smiled gratefully; her mind had been on the same wavelength. She simply hadn't known how to slip away. Answering Vodka's bow with a lavish curtsy of her own, she answered. "I'm Dancia, or Dani, if it pleases you. It's a pleasure to meet you." Glancing at the mothers, Dani decided that they could use more privacy. She slowly trotted away, motioning for the stallion to follow her. "And you are correct," she continued in the soft, tinkling voice. "I'm afraid I don't travel much. I prefer sticking closer to home. However, the mountain air calls me so, and I wanted to live the term, "bird's eye view." Her tone took on a wistful edge as she trailed off. "I've always wondered what it would be like to fly." She blushed, both for revealing her deepest dream to a stallion she had just met, and for the compliment that he had graced her with.

"She is so gorgeous.." Tequila warmly smiled towards Dani and then made her eyes drift back to Myoa. "Just as I would have thought!". She watched the two children wander off a bit, and she knew Vodka was especially happy in doing so. He was always the social one, so she knew he could handle himself easily. At Myoa's next question, Tequila could do nothing but blush. "I guess I have lost some weight.." She rolled her eyes playfully and barely brought them back on Myoas. "I have just been.. stressed lately, and I haven't seen Lunaris or my daughter or other son.." She sighed, but brought her face back up to Myoas. "I promise though, I am fine. What about you! Here I go blabbering again." She stuck her tongue out as she always did.
--------------------------
"Dani?" He chuckled, and let his smooth eyes drift to hers. "The pleasure is all mine." She was a pretty mare, and he noticed the simple resemblence to his mother's friend. "How interesting it is that you say that, my mother has a huge facisnation with flying. Your mother used to take her to areas like this as well just because of that." Flicking his tail, he looked back to the two mothers talking. "My father and brother both have wings, though I am not really taken aback by it at all. I'm sure flying is great, but the ground makes me work on my speed." He winked at her playfully, and shuffled his front hoof.

Myoa laughed happily as she saw the two young Soquili trot off together. "I wonder how they'd get along," she mused aloud, "Dani is rather shy." She hoped desperately that Vodka and Dani would befriend each other, considering her own close relationship with Tequila. She turned back to Tequila, and could not help laughing aloud again. "If you insist.....but either way, I'm glad you're tkaing a day off just for some fun." Myoa knew better than to ask her friend about her private life. If Tequila wanted to talk, she would do so of her own accord. It was pointless to be needlessly talking about painful things, the best course of action would be to just kick back and relax. Guilt nagged at Myoa as she answered, more than a little hesitantly, "I've been quite well, actually, I just saw my mate and my son again. Let's see, and recently, a stallion has moved in with me." She giggled, "He's elected himself as Dani's uncle, or godfather, or whatever you want to call it."
Dani blushed slightly, then coughed to hide a amused giggle. "Had we been on the solid earth, I'd have asked you to prove yourself, Vodka," she teased, an action she did oh so rarely, and normally only with her mother. The mountain air seemed to bring out the best in Dancia; she normally wouldn't have made such a bold move with a stallion she just met. She laughed freely, continuing, "I don't blame your mother, the sky seems to be such a mystery. I envy my mother and my brother for their wings, but I don't want to change myself either. Although, I do have to say, that the feeling of security that I get from thundering across the plain is quite something."

Tequila looked towards the two youngin's as Myoa did. "Don't worry, Vodka is anything but shy, so he will chat away for Dancia. That's how he usually is." She smiled at the sight and then turned back to Myoa. "Yes, it was Vodka's idea to drag me out here. Though, I am thankful he did now. The weather is too nice to juse sit around, plus how lucky am I to have found you!" She nuzzled her friend, and gleamed at the state of things. Tequila's eyes raised at her comment. "A stallion? Is this another friend of yours?" Then realizing what she said, she quickly stated, "Oh, forgive me if I am being nosey, I am just suprised!" She blushed at her friend, feeling silly. "Dani' uncle? That is a cute idea, actually. Though, I doubt Vodka would ever allow that sort of thing." She made a face at the ground.
-------------------------
"Oh really?" His eyes curved, and he smiled delightfully. "Well, I will have to take that off up sometime." At her next set of comments, he kept his smile and listened. They seemed to have the same mindset of flying, and it was nice to talk with another who was content with themselves. "There isn't anything that I would ever consider changing on you." He winked at her playfully, only stating the truth. "I just find galloping amazing, I feel as though I am powerful. Plus I love the way my legs feel after." He nodded, chuckling. "I can't see myself gracefully soaring the skies anyways, I would probably be too off balance." He laughed a bit.

Myoa laughed. "Who knows, maybe he'll be able to squeeze a conversation out of Dancia. She's actually quite social, once you get to know her." She glanced back once more at the fading figures of Vodka and her daughter before turning back to Tequila. "I'm glad he insisted too." Myoa commented happily and nuzzled her friend back. "It has been too long, and on what better day could we have met?" Myoa laughed at her friend's face. "Yes, Vodka is rather independent, isn't he?" Myoa noted. "And yes, he's a friend of mine. He was also adopted by my Indian girl."
Dancia blushed lightly, then laughed. "Well, I would probably be blown over by the first gust of wind," she admitted. Dani might have been sure-footed and speedy, but she wasn't physically strong. However, she also wasn't afraid to admit that. Dani smiled at Vodka and reared up with a happy neigh. "I just love the feel of.." Dancia struggled to find a word to describe the sensation she felt when she ran. "...exhilaration."

Tequila giggled, "A bit too independent at times, though I feel bad that he is always lagging by me. I tell him that I am fine and to go off and find happiness and love, but he worries so. There is nothing to even worry about!" She nodded to her friend, and flicked at her tail playfully. "I don't know if I have met this friend of yours.." She tilted her head, pondering such. "Though that must be nice, it is always fun to have more company around. I should start doing that myself. It seems everyone is just so busy with the blooming of Spring." She smiled and watched her friend, thankful for their meeting. There was so much to catch up on, Tequila didn't even know where to start! "What else has been going on in your life, Myoa?"
--------------------
"Aye, who doesn't." He chuckled and smiled. "Though actually I know quite a few who are ill content with the feeling of exhiliaration. I think they find that simple moments in life are just more content for them." Waving his hair out of his face, he felt refreshed that his view was back to normal now. "I could never live with that, I find that adventure only brings more experiences to catch hold of." He wasn't a dangerous one in adventurous scenarios, though he did enjoy seeing new places and discovering new things. "Do you enjoy a good adventure, Dani?" He chuckled, and looked at her smiling. "I would guess that if you like exhiliaration, then you also enjoy a fun happening now and then." He suavely moved his shoulders so he was next to the female, and he pollitely bowed to her. "Such a pretty face you have.."

(( Sorry about the wait! D= ))
Myoa nodded, "Yes, we need you get you out more." She teased, "Or else you'll just turn into an old hermit." She laughed, her ears twitching happily. "Hmm, if that is the case, then Vodka really does have something to worry about..." Myoa pondered aloud, trying very hard to keep a straight face. "Ah, I'm afraid not much has been going on with me. Well...there has been some....ackwardness between my son and mate, but..." Myoa sighed, then realized that she had just brought a topic that shouldn't be discussed on such a happy day. "....but they're currently working it out," she finished.
Dani nodded, "There's nothing wrong with that, I mean, I'm not one for adventures myself. However, I don't think I could waste away with nothing happening, either. I guess it depends on how you define adventures..." For Dani, an adventure depended, really, on her mood and the situation. Exploring a new place might be an adventure for her, but, for example, visiting the mountain wasn't. She had been looking forward to it too much. Blushing, Dancia curtseyed in return. "Thank you...you're too kind..." she mumbled.
