No matter how you look at it, life can be strange. This household would prove the truth in that sentence. For each living being has a unique character, mirrored by the ones they call friends and family. But sometimes we meet up with those who are nothing even close to our character. So different, that you would think they'd never get along...

The night was cool as Luna arrived at the Stardust Facility Lab, in search of Feline. She had been in and out of the Facility for months. She learned as much as she could about all the different species of Dusts, Serpents, Foxes. Now she had decided to move in to her own home, located down the street. She swung open the door with a hopeful beam across her face. "Feline?" she called as she looked around the lab. She wasn't there, or at least from what she could tell. What to do now? She had wanted to stop in and let the professor know she was here. She decided to just leave a note. "Bus ride was long and boring.. Going to go set my things at the new place. Catch up with you later. ~signed Luna"

She already knew where the place was, as Feline had instructed her as to it's whereabouts. She picked up her luggage and began to walk down the street. The homes were so cute! She couldn't wait to see hers. Before long, she was in front of her new home. With a deep breath, she proped herself up on the door, still holding her things. She reached for the doorknob, then opened the door with a shove of her shoulder.

For a couple of days, he had found shelter in a house. He had seen a human come in and open the windows. ((Probably to air the place out.)) That's when he decided to make the place his own. It was just to easy to pass up. A mesh screen on the window, was all that had stood in his way. With little effort, he had punctured through the screen. A flap was still hanging from it's edge's, where he had pushed though.

Jhinrae froze as he heard a strange noise outside of his shelter. Every hair on his back stood on edge, his tail also began to gain volume. A low-tone growl came from under his curling lips. In moments the large door opened, followed by a human! Instantly he charged at the beast, wings flailing out straight behind him. He watched as fear filled her eyes. Upon getting within a close distance, he flung himself upon her.

Upon opening the door, she had a most unexpected suprise! A Stardust was inside.. and it was growling at her! Excitement boiled up inside of her. Most would be scared at a growling animal, because it was a warning. She droped her things and was instantly scared as it charged at her. Like a deer caught in a headlight, she froze, eyes going wide. She felt the pierce of sharp things in many places, before she knew what to do.

Now here was a funny site. Luna, standing like a statue, and strange dust attached to her, like a suction cup Garfield on the rearview window of a car. The dust didn't move. She could feel that his beak was attached firmly to her arm. The back feet were stradling her right hip, claws holding the weight of the creature. One front paw was desperatly attached to the back of her bra, and was digging into her skin as the paw began to slip. The other front paw, had raked across her chest, and stoped at her stomach. This one had been the damaging one, along with that beak of course. She began to shake as her thoughts raced.

"I-I'm sorry.." came her shaky voice.

Luna winced as the beak of the dust loosned and he pushed off of her. A trail of blood ran down her right arm. Reaching over with her left hand, she clasped the wound. She didn't want to stain the floor and tried her best to keep from doing so. She looked at the back of the dust. She had startled it? She didn't know. She left her bags and turned silently, then walked out the door.

Jhinrae felt the taste of the imposters blood fil his mouth. It was bitter, and he didn't care for the taste. He did like meat, but not like this. He was shocked as the human spoke.. He loosned his grip and pushed off of her, landing on the ground. He felt bad. The humans normally posed no threat, yet he had attacked. Obviosly there was no threat, because there was no fight underneath his grip on the human. Instead, it spoke soft, kind words. He didn't know what the words were, but knew they weren't harsh words. He sat with his back faced towards the human, as he thought. When he turned to look again, the house was empty.

Where had she gone? Guess I scared the furless one away. he thought to himself. He was still curious though. He turned to the door that was ajar and slowly walked towards it. The moonlight was cast on the floor, outside, there was no one. Good. After all, that was what he wanted in the first place, right?

Luna's feet carried her down the street slowly. As she walked along her mind couldn't help but wonder about the well being of the other dust. Did it belong to someone? Had she gone in the wrong house maybe? She didn't know the answers. Hmm, perhaps more importantly, she should be worrying about her arm. She lifted her hand to take a look, one deep puncture was in her arm. It was small in size, but had peirced far enough to cause it to bleed like it was. She would need to clean it out and bandage it. The Lab would surely have some bandages.

She stumbled up to the Stardust Lab and opened the door once more. She didn't go in, she didn't want to disturb the white floors. "Feline?" came an almost desperate, rattled cry through the lab. She hoped to be heard.

Looking around, she didn't see anybody. It was really late, and Luna's guess was that she was asleep. She huffed once and then began to trek her way through the lab. Where would medical supplies be? she thought as she scanned the place. A white box with a red cross was attached to the wall. A medical kit! This was much easier than rummaging through the cabinets. She unlatched the case and found a couple useful things. Out of it, she took a roll of white bandages, and some ointment. After she got what she needed, she fumbled to close the latch back, sticking the items under her chin so she could. She then made her way to a large, steel sink.

She set the stuff down on the counter and then turned on the water. Letting go of her wound, she stuck her arm under the warm water. "Ssss!" came a sound of pain through Luna's teeth. She ran her other hand under the water to rinse of the blood, before grabing some soap off the back of the sink. She put the soap all over her hand and then used the hand to wash the bite. As she did, everything went white from the stinging. That hurt! She squinted her eyes and gave it a good scrub.

When she was done, she grabbed the bandages and unravled a long piece. She then used a pocket knife to cut the length of cotton loose. Ointment first! She gloped a bit of the clear medicine on, then began to rap her own forearm. She held it tight by pressing her chin into the starting end, and then wraping the rest around. Once it was started, she moved her chin away and finished dressing the arm. "There." Luna confirmed to herself. She stood back, and assesed the rest of her wounds.

For all Luna could see, the only other mark was on her chest. She looked down her shirt to see the damage. Not as bad as she thought. Funny though, the shirt was unmared but her bra was torn. It almost looked like a run and below was a scratch. She most likely had one small scratch on her back too, but couldn't reach it to see.

With a sigh, Luna turned around and picked up the medical supplies, placing them back in the box in which they came. Other people would need those one day. Now what? she thought as she looked to the door. On the ground were some droplets of blood. "Ahhh, crap." came her voice as her weight shifted to show her disgust. I can't believe I made a mess of Feline's white floors! Quickly, Luna began to scramble for something to clean it with. It wasn't that bad, just a couple drops, but she still felt awful. Underneath the sink, there's always cleaning stuff under the sink! she told herself, as she pulled the cabinet doors open. She did find some random, generic all-purpose, cleaner. "This will work." Luna stood up, found some paper towels, and began cleaning up her mess.

After making sure the lab floor was spotless, returning the cleaning stuff from whince it came, she left the lab. She now stood outside, wondering what she should do next. Well, her bags were at the house, and she at least needed to get those. She looked up at the stars, and then began to head back to the house down the street.

User ImageChloris sat undearneath a small shrub, eating the delictable leaves that dotted the branchs. She was a casual plant eater. Whether she was hungry or not, she could be found munching on anything green. Her ears perked as she saw a human walk by her yummy bush. She heard her walk by the first two times, but paid no mind to the two legged one. After all, this place was full of them. She didn't mind normally, but now this one stricked up a bone of curiosity in the dust. She stoped chewing, mid chew and stared at the road with her mouth open. She clambered to her feet and droped her dinner. What was she going to do? Follow it? She paced her self a good distance behind and did in fact begin to follow along.

Luna took in a deep breath. She really had no idea what she was going to do when she got back to the house. She certainly didn't want to get bit again, but that was a no brainer. Walking along, the nagging feeling that she was being followed swept over her. Her eyes got wary as she looked from side to side, without turning around. She slowed her pace, without much realization of her doing so. She then instinctively turned her head over her shoulder slowly.

As the strange human seemed to take notice of her, she shuffled into a bush quietly yet quickly. She didn't want to be seen so soon. She didn't know what this two legger was up to after all. Sure enough, it had sensed her, for it turned and looked back just as she was in the cover of the bush. Cholris burried close to the base of the bush and sat there. Her heart began to race with anxiety and excitement. Who knew that being a stalker could bring such life to the night. Before she could even think about looking out the bush, her beak was full of leaves again. She didn't even realize she had a mouth full of leaves, it just happened.

Luna halted in mid step. Had she seen something? A small white blur? Hmm.. Curiosity sparked. Turning on her heal, she walked over towards the edge of the road and peered into the brush. It could have been a rabbit. Getting in for a closer look, she steped off the street and kneeled down in front of the bushes. Had it gone in this bush? She placed a hand on the ground for support and took a look underneath. Nothing but the underskirt of the bush. Stretching forward on the ground, she looked under the next bush. Her gaze was distracted as a pack of Spearment gum was given to the ground by gravity's hand. She looked at the pack of gum that was now before her. Oh, my gum. She reached forward and placed in back in the pocket from which it had slipped. She then pushed a hand off the ground and sat back on her heels. The sight of the gum made her want a piece. Pulling a silver wrapped piece out, she unwrapped it with a slight crinkle. She then tossed the trash into her shirt pocket and then folded the stick of gum in her mouth. The taste and smell were satisfying.

Finishing the tasty leaves, the small white and green dragon waited with a paused, anxious look on her face. She was listening intently to the world around her. Her ears perked and she leaned forward to listen, she heard only faint sounds, but knew the other was close. But another sense overwhelmed her.. her sense of smell. What was that most delicious smell?! Her beak instinctively moved about and made it's way out the cover of the bush.

Luna watched and listened herself, chewing on her gum. Wondering where it had gone, she stayed there for a moment. Her patience was rewarded, soon a small beak peaked out from the mask of leaves. What was it trying to smell? Having no fear, she leaned in closer, down to the dustlings level.

Choloris' mouth began to water as the smell got heavier. She poked her entire head out the bush, thinking she wouldn't be noticed.. To her surprise, she was met by the strange humans face! She got a look of shock and froze with her beak hanging open a bit. Her look was almost that of a guilty dust, being found in mischief. As she sat frozen, the chewing mouth of the other, and the source of the smell was seen. The dragon melted and began to lean in close for a better whiff. Her sniffling made an airy sound as she tried her best to get the most of the smell.

How cute! thought Luna as she watched the expressions on the dusts face. She laughed out loud as it leaned in to smell her. How queer that it would do such a thing.

Opening her mouth and breathing into the dragons face, she giggled a little bit. It was really interested in the smell of spearimint gum. Reaching into her pocket, she grabbed another piece out the pack, with the intent of sharing.

Chloris got closer and sniffed at the warm air, as the human breathed the sweet smell her way. She got excited as the strange one went to grab the pack of that sweet smelling food. She churped in excitement once, she didn't mean to, it just slipped. He eyes widned as she watched every move of the shiny paper.

Luna unwrapped a piece of gum, and extended her hand out. Could dust dragons even chew gum? It surely couldn't hurt to find out, right? Worst case, it would swallow it and have gum in it's tummy.

Reaching forward, she took the morsel into her beak and began to chew it. She chewed fast, but then slowed down as the taste flooded her mouth. It was delicous! She kept chewing, as the texture changed. What strange wonderful stuff this was! Chloris dove forward and rubbed on the generous human.

Toppling over from the dragons affection, Luna let out a relaxed laugh. She was glad that it seemed to like the gum and what's more, it liked her. An overwhelming feeling came over her, and all at once, she knew.. She knew what the dustlings name was somehow, and she knew they would be friends. What's more, there was something else she couldn't place her finger on just yet, but one day, she would know something of utmost importance about the green and white dust. ((What it's wish was.)) "Chloris." came her soft voice, as she stroked the fur of her new found friend.

Her butt was getting cold, she set aside Chloris, and began to head back to what might be home. Home.. she hoped. She looked back down at the dust and smiled, then slowly walked away, waiting for her to follow.
