They're random encounters...Obviously their going to try and stop you.

and in 8 i love to get tonberry king.....
but to kill 20 tonberrys to get to fight him is a bit much

I hate killing them, the only game where i managed to kill them is XII.
But they are sooooo cute sweatdrop

Really? They were too easy in Final Fantasy III (or VI, whichever you play), and that includes the Tonberry King in the caves before the Ancient Castle.

Well i didn't do any side quests in VI and i may have not got up to that point, you see i keep getting sidetracked when i get on my computer stare But im fine with PS games.

I love tonberries! I don't love to fight them, but... They are cute.
(By the way, there were disgracefully easy in X-2.)

I love Tonberries. I love to fight them, beat them, I even love to be annihilated by them. They're just awesome. Although... nothing beats Behemoth.

UltimentoLi Why does every thing want to kill you in final fantasy..... guess we'll never know. Not everything wants to kill you. Just most things. Depending on which game you're playing there are passive, aggressive, neutral, and even friendly monsters. But for those that attack you I guess, like you, they just want exp. and your stuff. XD

And that's where you totally contradicted yourself. Well..Not really but listen up: Final Fantasy VI came out for the PS a LONG time ago, so if you're fine with PS games, then you could go ahead and buy the duo pack with Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger so you can NOT get sidetracked and can play through both games and do their sidequests. *GASP!*
