Do women who are overweight prefere being called fat or chubby? Or does it matter as long as it isn't being use to insult them? Just wondering.

We've kinda had this discussion before, in various other topics.
It really just depends on the girl.
Your best bet is to just not go up to a girl you aren't friends with and call her fat, she might take offense.
Personally, I call myself fat and chubby and hate terms like "zaftig" and "rubenesque" or "pleasantly plump". I don't mind if my friends call me fat or chubby, and I don't mind people being referenced as fat or chubby as long as it's in a discussion in general, or a person I know and it's meant non-offensively in the conversation... if that makes sense.
However, if a person I don't know calls me fat, or somebody I know is probably trying to offend me, I'm going to take offense.
But I've been yelled at by my skinny co-workers and constantly told I'm not fat, and I'm like "Uh, yes I am" but end up letting them think otherwise.

I'd prefer to be called chubby only because when people use the word "fat" it is in an insulting or degrading manner. Same could be said for the word "chubby" but not so much I believe.

I like to use the word fat to describe overweightness. There's a certain forwardness that I like about the word. Chubby just sounds like you're trying to candy coat things to me and implies being big is a bad thing- atleast to me that is.

When a person is described by me or to me as chubby I imagine them as being cute... not candy coating it.... but like teddy bear cuddly and stuff.

Nah, that isn't weird.
I was just sayin' how I see the word chubby. I'm more fat than chubby, but if I was skinnier I'd always wanna be called chubby, I think... sorta like voloptuous..

That's the way I use the two. Chubby is smaller, fat is bigger. I think being wanted to be called chubby instead of fat when you're 250 or more is kind insulting, as if being fat is bad thing.

Neither really. I'm 23 almost 24....chubby is the whole "you aren't that big and when you grow up it will go away" word. Fat...is more accurate. Just don't call me pregnant and we are cool. lol

My friend will be walking past me and I'd point to her stomach and say "Fat" and then point to her head and say "Head....FAT HEAD!" She knows I Joke with her...
neutral I hope lol ] "Either way, I'm still on your mind
