(The play never really hit it off...)
Fisherman's Stories is exactly what the title says: different stories about fishermen. It wasn't a very good play, but it did make a little bit of sympathy money. It took place in the "greek era" and spent most of the play discussing what Gods to visit next.
H e r o ' s s t o r y / / +
Hero is quite simply a fisherman's daughter who appears somewhere in the second act. She is an only child and was thus roped into the fishing on her father's boat. Ironically, she can't eat any of the fish that she brings in or she'll die. It is thought that she had been cursed at birth due to her mother's tragic death while delivering dear Heroe.
Learning of her curse, Hero sets out on a quest to fix it. Throughout her quest she must conquer the wrath of angry gods as well as mischevious creatures. What will happen to Hero? Will she survive her perilous journey? Or will she fall off the edge of the Earth trying?
Growing up around many burly men, Hero's feminine side has been supressed and a more masculine side has been brought out. She is made fun of by many of the local girls for her lack of manner, but Hero simply doesn't care. She's rude and crude and but she believes in strong friendships and loyalties, a concept lost on a couple of her crewmates.

Faharae: This is certainly a strange child. I don't know what to think of its color. It looks... strange... It's green... and it still has my sandal.
Diarmad: He seems a polite fellow with enough whit to match Rinter just enough to sting. It's slightly enjoyable.
