He'd only been in North Village for a short while that evening with his brother So', but already the visuals in his mind had the whole thing plotted out. Tiga would nod the first time and ask it be repeated, then nod the second time and stare at him some. Then he'd put a hand on his forehead to check his temperature and turn to So' and ask him how long he'd been prattling off incoherently.
Better to ask, he figured as he approached Saira's humble home on the far south side of the village. Saira was outside tending the giant olive tree in the front lawn, as he was most every time they checked in on the man. He smiled warmly to Marugeth and motioned over his shoulder.
"Tiga's inside, firefly," he called, using that diminutive little phrase he'd always used to refer to Marugeth. "Wouldn't count on him being awake. He's been practicing levitation again."
Marugeth grinned in return. He loved being called that, even if it was in reference to his on-or-off magic style. "Has he made any progress?"
Saira's deep chuckle told him no, but at least the poor sap was trying. Flight was Tiga's ultimate dream, but for a human, it was just that... a dream, one he'd exhausted himself day after day to try and achieve. He could at most hover a few inches above ground for a few minutes before becoming so tired he'd crash for the whole night.
So' in tow, Marugeth proceeded inside, where sure enough, Tiga was wiped out on his bed, face down in the pillow. He gave the blue-haired sorcerer a tap on the head and immediately he shot upright.
"Not sleeping, Saira!!" he blurted before noticing his mage friend. "... Er... Oh. Mar. Hi."
"Get any further?" he asked, illiciting a grimace from Tiga. "Haha, don't worry about it. You'll get it. You've got time."
Tiga shook his head, feigning a smile. "What brings you here this late in the day?"
"Headed home from the white village," he shrugged. "I need your expert opinion on something." His fingers came to the pendant around his neck. "I uhm... I had a strange experience and I hoped you could tell me what you thought."
Tiga eyed him carefully, still not entirely awake and still clutching his pillow. "What's that?"
Marugeth's rueful grin he was almost famous for followed a quick nibble on his lower lip. "Er... A baby."
The long, studious gaze Tiga gave Marugeth left his eyes in a squint, almost disgusted at the situation, and he plowed back into the bed, face first into the pillow he was clutching. "Go to bed, Marugeth. You're tired."
So's stifled giggle behind him didn't help, but the blue-haired goof had a point. "Oh... kay. I'll do that. We'll talk about it tomorrow."
The two of them settled down to sleep, after some squabbling between the twins over who would take the floor and who would take Marugeth's bed. After some solid insistance that the floor was Marugeth's favored sleeping spot, So' finally agreed to let him take it and the two of them were in no time curled up for sleep.
I miss sleeping here. This is home to me, not Merreltrach. he resolved to himself, and the night faded off into dark.

But this was the night when the unbelieving would be forced to believe. For as Marugeth slept, his soul rose above his body in a dreaming state. He could see his body fast asleep below him and around his neck a ghostly version of the relic hung. But what was strangest was that ahead of Marugar was a strange door that seemed to beckon to him to enter it.

For those of you that do not know, doors are creepy, creepy objects.
Marugeth had some strange dreams before... but never sequentially. He moved for the door, sort of pushed by something other than locomotive action.
I suppose this is it... Baby... or something... God, I don't know, there could be an antlion behind that door for all I know.
He really hoped it wasn't an antlion. Those things were horrid. He was not ready for that sort of excitement.

Doors were especially creepy when it vanished after one passed through it-which this one did. And soon as Marugar was through the door it was gone, trapping his soul in this place for the moment.
Luckily however there were no antlions here. There was a large garden From the ground were large silver spikes and a silver stone path that led up to a small fountain.
Over the edge of this fountain lay a boy. He was barely eleven years old and rather strange looking. He didn't have legs-rather he had legs but they weren't human. They were long tentacle like legs that seemed to be scaled and underbellied like huge snakes. And his entire lower section was scaled, as was some of his face. He had no nose-just slits on his face to breath from. And his hair was large and spikely.
Four arms extended from this boy's back. One set of arms ended in what were like tree tops which grew large silver apples. A second set was plain and tentacle like. And the regular set was perfectly normal save the fact that the fingers were longer then usual. He was thinly muscular-a boy just growing into what would have some day been a great body. He was soft and weak hear, his steely skin glinting dully in the dim moonlight allowed through the heavy cannopy of trees above Marugar. And the relic around the man's neck wanted him to lay a hand on this young boy-this child with a rope hanging from his neck.

Nnh? Is this... is this what she meant?
The sight of him sent a pain through him. It was somber, albeit a gorgeous sight. The shimmering silver of the apples and the fountain in the white moonlight cast a sort of sadness on the boy. He approached slowly, studying him in a sort of quiet awe. His hand came forward and lay upon the boy's shoulder.
Had someone tried to kill him...? he mused, only then remembering what the strange imp woman had said. Wait, that's right... he had died, hadn't he? Is this how? But he's just a kid yet!

A kid Wiren may have been but he had also been a god. And when Marugeth's hand touched his shoulder the relic and the boy glowed in a blinding white light. It was cool sort of unlike most of the light when deity's changed. The relic shot into the body-leaving Marugeth's neck bare- and before him the shape of the god began to shrink. It didn't take long and before him soon enough was a baby boy. He only had the two regular arms but the snakey legs were there and he had no real genetils just like in his older form. Odd...wonder how this species reproduced. But before him was the child god and a silver whip like cord lay near him, coiled up.

Marugeth's eyes widened at the change, and tenderly he took the child. He'd guessed this was the rebirth, and whatever the cord thing was... he wasn't about to leave that behind. He took that as well, cradling the boy in one arm for a moment.
He's... strange. Marugeth noted, looking his face over a few more times. But he's definitely pretty.

When Marugar took the child and the cord the door reappeared wide open. When he had passed back through it he was able to wake up in his body once again, with teh baby in his arms. Now the others couldn't dispute that he was gonna get a kid and neither could he.
