In the year 2012, the Eastern nations declared war on the Allies by launching a nuclear warhead into America. Washington was obliterated in the first attack. From there the world degenerated into a 2 year war, which ended with the scraps of the United Nations, those who were left alive, pulling together and destroying the aggressors. Unfortunately the damage had been done. The major governments had dissolved to the point where the army had taken over. A land grab occurred with the armies and an uneasy peace began. Over the next 25 years, minor skirmishes broke out and the borders of countries changed so often that it was pointless to keep a track of anything except battle lines. During the 25 years, the children of the people even remotely affected by radiation and the chemicals used during the war developed special abilities at puberty. These special abilities were minor and generally ignored, until a new set of governments arose. One in favour of the special abilities and one opposed. Needless to say the one opposed grew with favour from the people born before the war. In the ruins of Sydney ((Cause I can)), word of the new government reached a growing group of young men and women, all who had special abilities. These people had managed to eke out a living by farming what lands they could and defending them against scavengers. With each child who reached puberty, their combined power grew, more than those outside. Until the 'Mutant Hunters' formed. They started picking off 'mutants' on raids for things. And they'd managed to get some more modern weaponry from unknown sources. Now the mutants have to defend themselves or find another place to live. Shall we see what happens? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Profile time!!! Name: Age: ((Between 12-24. Name: Jax Sosa Age: 24 Gender: Male Appearance: Jax is average height and vaguely average looking, except that he is immensely well kept and exudes leadership. He's worked out every single day of his life, so his body is well toned and in peek condition. Personality: Jax is a born leader, even though he may not be the smartest person around. He knows how to think of things others wouldn't and will listen to any advice he's given. Power: Jax has better eyesight and as a result, a better aim with ranged weapons. His ability to adapt and quickly calculate where he needs to aim also helps, but that's not his power. His eyesight is. His night vision and adaptation to changes in light is the fastest of anyone's he knows. Anything else: Jax lost his significant other in a raid by the mutant hunters less than 4 months ago. He went through a few weeks of mourning before regaining leadership and leading by example. The backbone and moral of the mutants near him is bolstered slightly.

((I know you may like the storylines beginning with nuclear wars, but I am beginning to wonder if there is much else other than Brathmire in your arsenal lol XD jk))
Name: Hina Yamamoto Age: 21 Gender: Male Appearance: Hina is tall and skinny, and most definitely a computer nerd. Personality: Quick-witted, smart arse, intelligent and proud of it. His favourite computer games are medieval roleplays, so he considers himself schooled in ancient weaponry. The problem is, he hasn't realised that this knowledge is almost completely useless in this day and age. Power: Faster reflexes. The medulla oblongata, which handles body reflexes and unconscious activity like breathing or causing the heart to beat is overly active in Hina, causing some of his actions to occur without him actually considering them. Anything else: Hina is allergic to raspberries; isn't it tragic?

((lol. I was trying to think of new RP's and I keep coming up with things I've already done. This one is a rip of one where we were a group of mutants held up in a mall, same sort of timeline and whatnot, and I got Loraya in as the sexy French gal from the new pro-mutant government.
And yeah, I can think of many, many things, but most people aren't active or interested enough...))

Name: Azure Age: 20 Gender: Female Appearance:Azure is of medium height but strong and agile. She had long black hair and dark eyes and a tanned, almost Oriental face. Personality: She is tough, but nice and almost hates the idea of killing, but she will do it to defend her homeland. (More of her personality will develop. Power: Incredibly smart. She is smarter than the average human and can calculate anything very quickly in her head. Anything else:...(I'm braindead right now from writing two lab write-ups. XD)

Name: Valadmir Beowulf Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: Bright Red hair, violet colored eyes (very deep blue, more blue red), 5'11", wears average clothing, though his posture is that of an upperclassman/gentry. Personality: If it does not improve me, or my equipment I do not need it. Socially he is shy, and is normally in the background of a group though often works with the group to serve his own agenda. Power: His sence of touch is very sensitive. How most people can feel 1/1000th of a difference (average human touch sensitivity), he can feel a 1/1000000 of a difference. This enables him to feel most of the imperfections or rough edges in objects or materials. Anything else: As a hobby he makes medieval weaponry, and can use them with some proficiency. (Most people have a personal bubble, or space. His is twice that of normal people. please be curtious and allow people their space, or they will become irritated.)

Jax patrolled the wall that had gone up along one of the major roads recently. Ruined cars and crates, piles of bricks and sheets of metal formed a three foot thick wall with a solid gate to let people in or out. Along the top was sheets of metal, protecting the people behind them from potential attacks from the outside. Boards were nailed and tied to the rubble of the wall so the defenders had something to stand on.
He scanned the outside of the wall before walking to the newest part, where a few people were working on collapsing useless buildings to add to the rubble that was the wall. A bulldozer sat waiting to push the rubble to the house line. Once the ground was clear, new crops would be sown into the soil.
Looking around again, Jax decided that it would be wise to head back to the centre of the area the new mutants owned. Their supply, medical and strategical were all near the centre, around the biggest building, an old school gym. The school had become not only their teaching centre, but it had changed into everything the mutants needed, including an unofficial market.
Jax entered the school and nodded to the guards out the front. A smaller wall had been built around the school and some of the buildings nearby, mostly to funnel traffic than anything. People could climb it, but only in desperation.
Waving at some people, he entered one of the areas set aside for communications.
"Any messages for me?" he asked to everyone in the room.

A red haired man sitting next to a wall, sits up at the sound of Jax. "I don't think any messages have come for you." he says slowly as if questioning his own knowlege concerning the matter of messages that have come to this place.

Azure's pencil flew over the paper, calculations in her almost chicken-scratch handwriting already flooding three sheets of paper. Her other hand was occupied on a calculator and once in awhile she would glance up to the older computer screen in front of her. Finally, she put down the pencil and looked at the five sheets of calculations spread out before her. She took off her slim glasses and rubbed the bridge of her nose where they normally rested, looking for mistakes in the long formula. "Cathy!" she called finally, her voice snappy and a tad sharpish. A flustered young woman came over to take the papers. "To the engineers, please. If they can't make any sense of the formula, then send it back to me and I'll put it in simpler terms." Azure put her glasses back on her nose and stood up, stretching her cramped muscles.
She walked to the communications area, plopping herself in a cushioned chair. "Not many messages coming through today at all, Jax. In fact, it's been pretty irksome around here lately. Is anything happening out there?" she asked him, her voice still snappy, but that was just her.

"There was movement near the richmond road wall, but nothing serious as far as I could see. The wall will be extended soon."
A tone beeped nearby and someone placed a headset over their head. "This is base, I'm reading you." The man paused. "Go ahead with demolition, over." The man looked up and at Jax. "The wall is being extended. The three houses north of the Richmond gate are comin down."
Jax nodded and turned back to Azure and Valadmir. "I'm taking a team out again soon. We need more supplies for growing food. Interested?"

Jax grinned. "We're going to try something that I haven't had the nerve to do yet. We're going to try and raid the Blacktown mall."
Jax beamed, knowing that his friends would likely try and kill him over such a 'stupid' move. However, he and a couple of others had gotten some interesting information lately that he wanted to check out, besides getting more supplies.

"The Blacktown mall, isn't that dangerous?" Valadmir asks as he gets up from where he was seated, "Nevertheless, I will aid th-you in accomplishing the task set before us to retrieve more supplies, for our rations are looking a little sparse as of late, therefore we must go into more dangerous areas."

Jax smiled. "I've picked up word of a small group of our kind in the storage area of the mall. They've managed to lock themselves in there and break into most of the supplies, so they have a decent amount of stuff we can use. I used to explore the mall before it was taken over by the current gang, so I know my way around."
