I got to thinking alot today while i was at school. Some people you know do things that make you want to say something to an adult, teacher, or etc. yet your afraid if you say anything at all to them, then that person would come back at you and try to do something.
Was just curious if anyone else felt like that before. like you know what there doing is wrong, but your afriad to say something to anyone. Your afraid of the actions you take to do right that might lead to seomthing really bad.
What are yall's thoughts?

I don't really ever turn anyone in because im not a rat. If they want to do wrong then that's their problem, they have to live with themselves and their consequences. It's not my business, so i don't mess with it or them.

It's not my business, so i don't mess with it or them. what if they were doing something that could hurt someone? Exactly! The bible teaches us to respect our authorities and obey them unconditionally. But it also tells us to denounce them if they are doing something wrong. The bible even tells us 3 steps to do this: 1.- first time you talk with them. 2.- if they don't stop you do it, this time with witnesses. 3.- if they don't stop you shall do it in front of everyone that's involved. I promise I will give you the exact quotes when I find them.

It's not my business, so i don't mess with it or them. well its not the fact of being a rat and yes i could understand that it is there business. what if they happen to do something was just a little bad thing end being life threating. you never know that if ther doing something that could endanger there life as well as others. that small bad thing you could have stop, could have been really important. only really reason i brought this up was becasue i did have a chance to do that.....a friend as i knew ((not one i talk to on a everyday basis but someone i knew)) decided it would be fun to leave school and skip 2 classes. i tried to tell him that it wasnt worth and should have just stayed instead of going wit htehre friends, only becasue i knew this guy wasn't really like popular ya know. he was just used for things that the guys wanted him to get. that friend i knew died in a car wreck 2 hours after he left.

Usually, I just handle it myself. Though I haven't had anything really major come up yet so I don't know what I'll do when I do have something major come up. When it's something like skipping school, I'd probably steal my friend's keys and put them in my locker or something to make sure that they couldn't leave. If it were something like drug use or alcohol I don't know what I'd do...I'd probably end up telling my dad, who happens to be a cop, about it.

Just food for thought. If you let them get away with it, is it something you will regret later? Regret's the worst feeling in the world next to guilt, which go hand in hand. I believe if you use your better judgment, you won't feel as bad as you would using wrong judgment.

I think it's a brilliant and considerate system--God just thinks of EVERYTHING, doesn't He? whee

I'd try talking to the person first. Or if you don't know them well, some one who might influence them. That's what I did, we handled the entire situation without ever getting the school admin involved. The person didn't change, and will still do bad things, but what can you do? "As a dog returns to its' vomit, so a fool returns to his folly." If they won't change after you try to convince them, then they need to face the consequences for themselves.
