Alright, I got the okay from Iris for this. As some of you may or may not know, my lioness, Tai, is one of the two Storytelling-babysitters for the pride.
I'd like to get things rolling by holding the first Pride-wide RP, so this is to let everyone know that sometime next week I'll start the first story-telling event. Anyone with cubs within the pride are more than welcomed to sit in on it, parents too. smile
Oh, one other note, Iris and I are both interested in the idea of apprentices, so if anyone is looking to have their juve. or adol. become a storyteller later on, contact me (via this thread since my PM box is like, overflowing constantly.)?
Notes about Apprenticeship:
An apprenticeship with Tai is not an actual OOC-promise that your character will be able to become a storyteller. Slots are currently limited to two storyteller-babysitters at one time. Also, there may be other people trying for the position that didn't manage to make it into an apprentice spot, so, ultimately the choice of who makes Storyteller (when Tai retires) will be based on who can best handle it, and first come first serve.
Anyone applying for the position with the intention of actually becoming a storyteller will need to make sure that they're able to handle the responsibilities. These include creating stories and creating and maintaining group RP's on a somewhat regular basis.
And finally, if anyone has suggestions as to how this should go (posting order?) please let me know, otherwise I'm thinking that my posts will tell the story in chunks, and I'll leave room for people to respond every so often in the story.
Who: Tai + Any cubs and parents interested in listening.
When: Sunday or Tuesday (Whenever I have time to type it up)
Where: Pride Rock! The back area (In the movie, the area where Nala and Simba recieved their baths before leaving for the graveyard.)

Ohhh, I'd love for Kiasiadia to become a storyteller apprentice, if she's going to stay in the Pridelands :3 I'll need to talk to Neo about that, since she owns Kiasi's mate. <3
She's a cub, but will be growing... soonish? ^^

We've already talked about this in the application thread but I'd love for Tai to be Verdad's mentor like you suggested. Maybe she could sit around to listen and gain more experience in structured storytelling since she is a nanny after all xD

Verdad is still good for said spot, Swampie. :3 I think that Tai might have 2-3 apprentices.
Sounds fine to me FM.
To everyone looking for apprentice ship: Keep in mind that depending on how many storytellers there are (and if there are still just 2 openings) there might only be room for one apprentice to take her spot as an actual storyteller, while others become a "regular" babysitter.

I'm not sure who yet, but atleast one of my girls (Kami, Sara, or Xu) will be here. :3
But! I thought you might want to add, while it doesn't matter for aprenticeship (since like you said, at most 1 to 2 would become actual storytellers in time, not all of them), all the people who seriously would like to take up the spot have to understand that they'll have to make up stories and stuff. And are capable of it. Cause I know how hard that can be. @_@

Ohh, yes! That's important, thanks Iris for reminding me! biggrin I'll go through and make this thread a bit more organized, so it can double as a mini-recruitment thread or something, maybe an information thread later on to announce story-times.
Squee, it'd be delightful for Tai to see Meko again! heart heart heart And she'd also love to see Xu again, as well as Kami (since by that point she'd probably have at least talked to her for the position) and Sara. :3
*note to Iris XD whenever you're freed up I'd love to snag some Sara + Kiva + Kami (?) rp :3*

Like I told Ary-- I think the other babysitters would definitely be able to help out. Tai won't be able to actually watch them all while she's telling the story, so the others can make sure they don't run off.
