Over shadowing the rest of the base is the main hanger. It is unique in it’s design, unlike many other airbases on larger islands, this one is constructed partly out to sea, to accommodate the sea planes it was used by, since the island was too small for normal planes. The inside is mainly water, and some piers along side for the planes, all of which are now gone, apart fro ma scrap or two of engines and body parts.
