She had left the young juvenile and set off on her own, heading towards the very edge of the sea. The wind here tugged fiercely at her fur and it carried a strange scent with it that crinkled her nose. Her eyes were downcast and saddened and her heart was cold.
Even the sight of the sea couldn't cheer her up.
In it she saw the reflections of those she had loved and lost. Her mother and father, her brother and sister...and Fedha. Was her curse going to drive everyone away? She wanted to find someone who wouldn't leave her, who would stay by hre side forever. She had thought that lion was Fedha...but where was he now?
Her chest heaved with grief and as she blinked back tears she threw back her head and roared into the waves.

Soft amber eyes snapped to attention further down the bend, his ears perking slowly at the echo of a roar that flooded the waters. Kikore paused in his walk as he looked ahead, his muscles tensing as the tone of the roar was something he hadn't heard in the lands before. His tail swaying slowly, he finally turned away after a long moment of silence and looked towards his mother.
"Did you hear that?" He asked softly, though the question was something a bit obvious, considering how loud the sound was even to the waves. Swallowing a moment, he watched for her reaction and was suddenly glad Kilango was entertaining herself for the day.
She had heard it as well, and all she could do was mutly nod as a warm feeling spread through her body. No sooner had the roar sounded, did a sense of nestalgia spread across her senses, and now she was left with a cold dread as the voice faded away.
"Let's go and see who that is, shall we?" She asked pleasently, though the tone was strained. She knew that roar, or it sounded familiar, but somehow all she wanted to do was see who it was, just to be safe. It would sooth her worries, at least.

Ivie turned back away from the sea and the expanse of nothingness, which she may have thought pretty at one time. Now to her saddened eyes nothing was beautiful. Everything was grey and lonely.
She drew away from the shore, moving back up the ledge to lay down on the wisps of crackly grass. A sigh leapt free from her maw as she tried to ease her sadness, yet found it almost impossible.
What was the point of living without family or friends? What was the point of living when you had nothing but a curse that clung to you like a shadow.
She lay her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

Turning to his mother, he nodded slowly, catching the tone she carefully hid, simply because he was her son. Taking the lead, his stance was strong and graceful, his body clearly growing near it's peak as an adult. Shaking his mane, he padded until he caught sight of pawprints. Sniffing them, the sands and sea covered the scent, so instead he nodded to his mother and followed them until they reached the sea. The prints moved back towards the grasses, and slowly, he turned.
Turning as well, Palesa held her breath a moment, before a sharp release sounded from her maw. All at once, her composure faded as she looked through the grasses, and went back and forth until a figure stood out. Pale fur blended well, so she missed it at first, but after a second she caught sight of the color. Color so alike her's and Kikore's.
"...Ivie?" she cracked out weakly, her words and scent catching the breeze and heading towards her daughter. To her side, she caught the tense form of Kikore, his eyes too catching sight of the pelt and lioness far enough away. They wern't sure, but Palesa had that feeling, and it was only her rationality that stopped her from running to those grasses.

She sensed them rather than saw them, like a prickling down her spine and when she raised her head tears sprung to her eyes.
"Mother..." She breathed out, her eyes picking up the distant forms of both her dearest mother and brother. Her heart gave a loud, painful thump and suddenly she was pushing herself up onto her feet and dashing towards them, closing the gap with each long stride.
So it was true! They were here!
"Mother! Kikore!" Her voice sailed with the wind with a surprising strength and as she hurtled towards them she felt like a cub again. She was there curled in her den with her family. Her father was there, and her sister and everything was perfect.
But as she blinked her eyes to clear her vision she realised that the two other members of her family were still missing. They always would be...
"Please, don't leave me again." She was choked up when she came to a halt a few metres before them, her legs shivering with disbelief. "I don't want to be alone."

With a long, painful swallow, Palesa watched her youngest rushing towards them, her mind pushing for her legs to get going. Painfully, they resisted and she stood stark still, until at last she was face to face and mere inches away from the female.
"I-Ivie-" She whispered out, the words echoing through her ears as she realized just what happened. Her daughter had chased after them, all the way across the lands because she had been foolish and just rushed blindly away and left her behind, "Ivie, I am so sorry..." She moved a step closer as tears pooled into her brown eyes.
Yet, it was Kikore who made the final step towards his sister, his voice gone yet his form moving to brush her's. He nuzzled her neck and brushed his tongue on her cheek, his amber eyes warm as he glanced at the girl who he always watched out for, hoping this once she wouldn't move away.
"I won't let you be alone again..."
