I got confirmation from Gaia that I'm going to be an official exhibitor/volunteer at their booth for Fanimecon in San Jose, California this year.

And BTW: since when do people as cool as you go to places as lame as FANIMECON gonk My friend Wen has a booth there every year since I made his DA account, and my ex gf/good friend is going to be there, too. I've wanted to visit Fanime at least once.

for laurels you can get one of those faux-wreath thingies or something that you get from michael's (if you are familar with that store) and spray paint them gold. it wouldn't be hard.
emo glasses you can try to borrow from someone? just remove the lenses maybe? i unno.
g-pin you can probably make by cutting out cardboard or something. spray-paint will also probably be used.

:EDIT: Do not buy those martial arts arm guards! They look fairly harmless in the picture but they are FUGLY up close.

There are ways to make forearm guards out of fabric. You'd just need to lace them up or use snaps or some other way to keep them closed. I have a pattern for the basics.

Yep. If you were to get some cotton batting they use for display quilts it'll work quite nicely.
