It was another quiet day by the den for Wahabu, as it had been for many days now since his mother had left. His father was off somewhere, so the young lion was left alone where he was. His mood had not improved much through time, and now he was being mostly quiet and somewhat resentful of being alone. Why did his mother have to leave? Where on earth was his best friend? What was he supposed to do about it, or even anything?

He had to find something to do, he decided. So reluctantly, Wahabu got to his feet and then just stared off into the distance. He had no idea what to do, he could go for a walk or hunt but neither seemed that appealing. While he thought, he started to pace slowly around. At least that was something other than staying still.

Truth was rather lonesome, really; both Denial and Irrationality had left, actually, due to her asking them for time alone, however, the goddess had regretted this action the moment she'd found herself alone. She was rather the social creature, and she acknowledged the fact she'd grown fond of the petite, goddess insistent riddles and charming attitude. She'd also grown so used to traveling with Denial that she suddenly found herself looking for his large frame whenever a twig snapped.

Instead of brooding however, the pink hued goddess had decided to do that what she did best; seek out the truth. Thus was how she'd reached the lush pride lands; so different from the Mistweaver lands, that were dieing, drying up further and further every day.

As was usual with her, the goddess allowed her wings to remain plainly in sight as she padded the meadows, pausing once to looking towards the distance; there was grass as far as her sight stretched, and herds moving here and there. This land was truly different, she thought as she felt the wind pick up against her pelt, blowing her bangs into her eyes; it was that same wind that carried the scent of another approaching, and her gaze followed the direction from where it had come.

There coming towards her, was a yellow hued male, his frame moving yet his head held low; Audilifu needn't be Truth to know something was obviously bothering this lion, and thus, being too curious for her own good, she flapped her wings once, twice, flying up into the sky. Once she'd neared the pridelander enough, she lowered herself to the ground before him, head tilted to one side gracefully, "You know, such sour faces make the sun seem that less brighter."

Wahabu didn't even realize anyone was nearby with his eyes downcast and his mind wandering away from where his body was. He was surprised to hear a voice speaking to him, especially when he was paying so little attention to what was going on around him. He lifted his eyes, and his surprise only became greater when he saw a very colorful goddess standing before him. Of course he would run into a goddess, gods seemed to like coming around here.

He didn't know how to respond to her words right away. It wasn't an easy statement to respond to. There was no clear indication from him that he knew much about gods, for his behavior thus far seemed to counter the idea that maybe he knew. If one knew his mother, however, there would be no way not to know- he looked a great deal like her, after all.

"I'm sorry," he murmured finally.

The goddess only paused for a moment, her head cocking to the other as she swept one graceful brow up in question, "Why would you be?" she smiled then, her head still tilted slightly, her bangs covering one eye as they fell down the side of her face, "There is sadness in joy, and joy in sadness; you are entitled to fee either or, and you do not need to apologise."

Idly looking away from him, Truth allowed herself to sit down, her gaze sweeping to the far away herds, which she stared at for a while before refocusing her attention on the young male, "You look sad, yet your eyes tell me it's not a lover that has you down; what keeps that forlorn look on your face? Hmmmm?" Of course, the pink hued goddess was curious by nature and she could not keep herself from asking, "What is it you seek? I seek company today."

An answer for an answer, that's the way it went, though something told her this young looked shy enough to crawl back the way he'd come. Tell truth, she didn't want that; if he were to leave this early, she'd be alone once more, and that simply could not be, "It's not a lover, yet love seems to be the cause of such sad looking eyes," another pause followed, her paw reaching to tap her maw briefly before she lowered it, "My name is Audilifu; I am Truth," she normally left her domain hanging, allowing others to figure it out for themselves, but something about this one made her want to keep things simple for him.

He looked so.... torn and devastated in a way. She wished not to add to that.

Wahabu listened to her explanation of why he should not be sorry with a rather mystified expression. It was quite the statement to wrap one's mind around, after all. In response, he offered a half-hearted shrug, "Ok, then.." He was looking at her curiously until she started playing a guessing game about why he was sad.

"I don't know, a distraction I guess," he answered firstly, though he did not explain quite what was wrong or why he was seeking a distraction. Just as she did not explain why she was seeking company, though that spoke more for itself than what he said did. When she introduced herself, he smiled a little bit. He might not be grovelling, but he had enough respect for gods that he wouldn't lie to any of them- most especially truth.

"My name is Wahabu, and you're very close," he answered carefully, wondering if she wanted to continue to guess or if she just wanted to know the answer, "My- my mother left." He dared to just say so, no point dancing around it or lying to this goddess.

Slowly, the goddess allowed a brow to arch, head once more tilting to one side, "My, my..." the words were soft, breathed as she watched him intently. This one was depressed; she needn't be truth to know that much either, but still, it didn't keep her from being somewhat surprised, "Well, young man," she said a bit more sternly as she stood up and used her paw to lift his gaze to hers, "Aren't you sour? Come now..." her words died at his later reply.

"My- my mother left."

"Oh..." her paw lowered from his jaw as he lifted it to her own, tapping it slightly; there was no use lying to Truth after all, and thus she knew this was what had been bothering him without a doubt. Now, normally she would've shrugged it off and walked away on him, but she'd always had a soft spot for younger lions, specially if they were male and brave enough to show a much more sensitive side, "Well, that can be hard, but you know, there always comes a time your parents leave your side; it should not disappoint you. It should make you proud to know that they trust you enough to let you live your own life," she smiled then and leaned forward, whispering into his ear, "I'll tell you a secret..."

Leaning away from the youth, the goddess extended a finger and moved it, almost as if trying to get him in turn, to lean forward, "I might be ageless to you, but I'm not that old in regards to this earth; my own mother left me, long ago... when she felt that it was time for me to roam alone - it saddened me too, but I now understand it's part of that what you call the 'great circle of life'," a pause followed as she looked away from him, settling her tail around her back haunches, "It's a truth; I know this well enough, so cheer up young one," slowly turning back towards him, she offered him that smile once more, "What's your mother's name? I... forgot my mother's name, actually, but it's been so long..."

There was sadness in her words, but they washed away soon enough, for after all, though she did not remember the name, it didn't mean she did not remember her touch, and her nuzzles. Those were things she'd always remember; scent, touch and warmth, "So long you remember her, it's almost as if she'd never gone away."

The words the goddess spoke made Habu hurt even more. He was not behaving in a very friendly manner, but he just couldn't help the way he was acting. He felt so alone the last little while, for he'd not been away from his mother for so long before and since he was having such a hard time finding a friendly face, it was all the worse. However, he knew his mother would not have wanted him to be like this. To keep the thought from his mind, he only had to remind himself that she chose to leave and that was why he was like this. It was her fault.

Or so he tried to make himself believe.

When the goddess made an effort to comfort him and explain how this always happened, he opened his mouth to offer more explanation. His mother did not only leave him, but she left his father, left their family entirely. Habu had always thought that when the time came for him to live his own life, it would be him leaving his parents, not them leaving him. He did not get a chance to say anything before she offered him a secret- and who would he be to deny such information? He followed her gesture, leaning forward a bit as she moved away.

The Circle of Life. That was something he understood, to a certain extent, though he had to wonder how well it applied to the gods. Habu tried not to dwell on it, and instead considered her words, all of them. She made sense, but he did not want to admit it. It wasn't fair, his mother shouldn't have left how she did.

"I- I don't like it," he said after a hesitant silence, caught somewhere between facing the music and burying himself in denial, "Her name... her name is Mtima'safi." Wahabu's glance became a bit steadier when he said this, he had to wonder if she would know his mother was a goddess. How much did gods know of each other? Did they perhaps know each other? Of course, it was a hard thing to suspect when he was so similar in appearance to her and nothing had been said about that.

"None of us like it, really," she offered him a sad smile, her purple eyes closing only briefly before she reopened them to gaze at him, "I am not a mother, so my advice is merely partial, but I can tell you, that were I one, and I had to leave my young ones... I would not like it," in a way, she'd done something similar though; she'd been forced to leave Deception's side due to the fact their domains clashed and neither could work well when the other was about. It'd hurt her greatly to leave her younger brother roaming alone, but both of them had decided this was the only way.

Sadly, Truth, though her domain might've lead him to think otherwise, was not a mind reader, and could only know that what was offered to her; lieing too, was hard in her presence for it took a great deal of willpower. The name he spoke did not ring any bells within the pink female's mind, though it did not escape her that he somewhat expected her to know it, "I am afraid I do not know her, young one, but then again, I do not know many personally," specially not gods, amusingly enough. Truth was a goddess that usually remained padding the earth, and had so far come into contact with so few gods herself, that she could count the full amount within the digits of one paw.

It never occurred to her that his mother was in fact of immortal blood, "Tell me, who is she? So that I might know her if I come across her," she smiled at him again however briefly before she looked away, "The circle of life is not something many life, but it talks the Truth; it talks about life and death, and all those things that happen in between... there good things, and bad things, but that's how it's meant to be," her wings opened slightly, only to close back upon her back, no doubt trying to shake away the itchy feeling that crept upon them from not being used or moved, "Then again, there's Denial of these facts... believe me, young one, I know Denial well," finally she turned to look at him and she winked, "I grew up with him, and he's almost like a brother to me. You seem to be his follower, and not mine, though I can assure you that following that what is true here would do you more good than harm - it'll allow you to set gaze on that what is around you, you see, for when you close your eyes to these things, you're missing out on them," her paw reached over to him, placing itself under his chin, lifting his gaze to her, "Cheer up."

they were hard words to acknowledge, but then again, it was simply the way the goddess was. Just like he could not help feeling the way he felt, she could not help but be the way she was.

Wahabu was uncertain how the goddess could make these speculations without the experience, but he had to admit that even he could imagine it easily. Especially from his own mother. "If it's not something any of us would like, then why would she do it?" he asked bitterly, though he had a feeling he knew the answer had something to do with the fact she was a goddess. He was not too surprised or disappointed to hear that she didn't know his mother, it had been a long shot.

He listened to her describe the truth of the circle of life, and the denial that he was suffering. It made sense, of course it made sense. He did offer a bit of a smile, but nothing else except a description of his mother.

"I look a good deal like her, same fur color, and the mark on my forehead looks like a mark on her back, except purple" he described her physically first, a bit hesitant to say the one thing that would make his mother much more distinct, "A-and she is a goddess, like you.."
