The day was fading to night and the sky was a lovely shade of orangey-pink. Cheshi could not see it from where she was, though. After the encounter with the very strange hyena, the albino bunny was alone and terrified. It'd been days and days since she'd lost Sunny, and she couldn't even remember how it happened anymore. All she wanted now was to find him, or be found by him- but the stay-and-wait-to-be-found idea was not working out.
Cheshi did not know what else to do. She hardly knew where she was, she didn't know where Sungura would be by now or even if he was looking for her. So she stayed hiding in the shade of a bush, watching the grass sway in the wind.

It had been quite some time since Sungura had last seen Cheshi and he was growing worried. Their last meeting had ended quite abruptly, with the two getting lost from one another. It seemed like usual, Sunnny's boyish behavior got the two of them in trouble. He wondered if the reason he had not found Cheshi again was because she no longer wanted to be his friend. Though grown quite a bit since the last time they had spoken, Sungura was still the hard headed, young male Cheshi had met.
Having not given up on his search for her, despite his head telling him it was fruitless, Sungura hopped out into a large open space. Glancing about, he saw only thick brush and foliage. From where he was, he could not even see birds flying or larger animals grazing. The area seemed fairly desolate and he wondered just about how far he'd wondered. What if the two had just walked right past one another without knowing?

Cheshi inched her way a bit closer to the edge of the bush she had taken up residence in. She wasn't liking the idea of leaving the bush, but it was starting to seem like that was going to be her only option. That didn't stop her from delaying the inevitable as long as possible, as she hid her eyes and whined. Sunny would be too small and dark to see unless he was really close.
This wasn't getting her anywhere, it hadn't gotten her anywhere in the days she'd refused to leave. It was an easy way to live, hiding herself away, but it wasn't the best way. She knew she was lonely, but if she hadn't met Sungura she might not have felt it so strongly. Cheshi was definetely rather clingy.

Growing annoyed at the fact that he had been searching so long for his friend to no success, Sungura decided to take a short nap beneath the shade of a rather large bush. The bush was nothing in particular and didn't really catch his attention all that much, but it was tall and perfect for the shade - or rather, to hide in.
With a short yawn, the male hopped closer and then took a seat. Two small, black paws reached up to stretch in an attempt to get more comfortable. Lightly sighing, the male spoke to himself, or what he thought was only him, "...Cheshi.. where are you...?"

Cheshi heard the sound of rustling grass, and shortly afterward the branches of the bush she'd occupied alone for the last little while. She was no longer alone, and at first she curled up tighter and hoped she would not be noticed. That was, until she heard a familiar voice say her name.
Immediately, she uncovered her eyes and lifted her head up- rustling the branches where she was resting. She looked around anxiously, seeing a dark figure by the opposite side of the bush.
"Sunny?" she squeaked.

As Cheshi moved about from within the bush, Sungura overheard and lifted his head curiously. With the idea that some snake or other small creature had been trying to sneak up on him, he proped up his paws in a sort of fighting, protective manner. With narrowed eyes he tried to spot out his attacker.
As Cheshi had recognised his name, Sungura quickly found something familiar about the way in which his own name was spoken. Or rather, he recognised the squeeky voice that said something that sounded like his name. With a light laugh, he put down his paws and jumped into the bush after his companion.
"Cheshi!!" He grinned, tackling the small, pale bunny. "Where have you been!? I've been looking all over for you!"

Cheshi stared anxiously towards the dark figure she assumed was Sunny, hoping to have it prove to be him. That would definetely lighten her day- or evening, as the case was. When he turned around and suddenly leapt through the branches at her, she couldn't help but flinch- and it took all her will-power not to stumble away.
It was Sunny, she finally found him- or, they finally found each other.
"Sunny!" she cried, almost in tears, managing not to topple over when she was tackled and instead hugging onto him desperately, "I- I don't know what happened. I was looking for you too!" It was such a relief to have a familiar face around, to not be alone again- she did not want to be alone.

Sungura could sense Cheshi's voice trembling and felt a bit guilty for lunging so quickly at her. From the friendship the two had developed, Sungura knew better than to act quickly around the female as she scared incredibly easily. With a broad grin, the male returned the tight embrace, holding onto his friend as though he feared she might slip away and disappear once again.
Still hugging onto Cheshi tightly, he continued to speak to her, his own voice nearly trembling, "I'm so sorry that I acted silly when we were younger Cheshi! I never meant for us to be seperated!" And although his cheeks were flushed red from the embarassment of apologising, Sungura would not hesitate to apologise for what had come between them. He had understood during his time searching for her, that it had been his fault.

Cheshi was so happy to see Sunny that she just forgot about how scary he'd seemed when they were little, and then how scary that hyena had been, chasing her around. With a quiet sniffle she buried her nose in his fur, continuing to cling as he apologized for everything that had happened. After a long moment of silence, she tilted her head a bit so she could speak, but not so that she was any farther away from him.
"I-it's ok," she murmured, sniffing again, "I'm sorry I lost you, I don't know what happened. Don't go away anymore.." Cheshi did not want to be alone. It was so easy to get so scared when she was alone, she felt so defenceless, but even just having him around made her feel better.

Sungura's cheeks remained red as Cheshi buried her face into his fur, but this time not so much out of embarassment. In his excitement to see his friend again, he almost didn't notice how much she'd grown. Since they had seperated it seemed not just he had changed. Cheshi appeared a bit taller, thinner and absolutely beautiful. Never before had Sungura noticed just how attractive his friend actually was. Shaking the thought from his mind and letting out a light laugh, he tried his best to clear both his mind and his ferocious blushing.
Acting like the manly rabbit that he was, Sungura fluffed out his chest and freed a single arm to flex in Cheshi's direction. "I can protect you now! I've become stronger!" he claimed proudly. And then remembering why the two had gotten into the mess in the first place, he quickly added, "So I promise I won't run off again.. or at least without telling you beforehand.."

Cheshi was too worked up to really notice how much Sungura had grown, how much she had grown. The world was still big and scary, and though she hadn't noticed it she had even started to grow mentally. She might be anxious, but she knew life was not going to work so well like that all the time.
"Wow," she murmured, smiling slightly at the flexing of his muscle. While she did not sound terribly impressed, she did not sound too indifferent. She sounded more certain when she continued, "I'm glad. And I won't run off again, either. I'll try not to.."

Smiling to both himself and Cheshi, the young male put down his flexing paw and then hugged his friend once more. It was nice to have found her again. Sungura had spent the majority of his life alone, wandering about and meeting new friends, but it was only until he met Cheshi that he realised just how alone he really was. No longer did the young male wish to spend his time alone, not when he could remain in the company of his best friend forever... <3
