When it comes to music, do you prefer; notes or tablature?

Eh, I'd go with both.
Notes: Shows rhythm of the song, but I haven't been reading music for that long.
Tabs: Easier to read/ show techniques, but doesn't show rhythm.

I've been learning both, and even though notes are nice, I'm gonna have to go with tabs. I try to find tabs that also have the notes above it though, to show rhythm.

Why are they the only two options? I personally would say neither, and go for ear. But if I'm not alloud that I'd say both.
Powertab/Guitarpro anyone? Why settle for one?

I didn't even think about playing by ear! As for tabs, I have Powertab. All the songs I want though are for Guitarpro! Is there any difference between the two?

I'm not too sure how to read music for guitar. I never took anylessons. sweatdrop I say tabs. I'll listen to the song for rhythm or whatever.
I don't really like guitarpro. I had it once. Just confused the ******** outta me.

Guitarpro is technically better. Though you'd expect that because you have to pay to own it, (legally...) even so I prefer Powertab. Guitarpro just makes thing's too complicated in my oppinion.

Tabs are easier to learn for beginners. Many profetional guitar players still read using tabs (they can't read notes). Learning notes takes time and in the long run it extremely pays off. You will find more songs in notes that you couldn't find in tabs.
Although to learn notes you have to learn ALL the notes on your guitar first. Not just 1 2 3 4 5 and so on. You have to learn E minor E flat and such.
