Too much to update about. Let me see...
I mentioned that saturday to the end of sunday was incredibly busy? Well, the reason is that I've been cleaning my room. That's a pretty big project, actually. One I've been on and off working on for years now. Why did I start now? Nostalgia. I might have mentioned that I had a couple of dead computers to bring back to life? Maybe I also mentioned that I brought one, the anime-downloading one, back?
Well, I needed to clean my room to bring back my other. That was a big task that involved needing to sort through boxes (many of which I wanted to keep) and piles of clothes that need to go to Goodwill. In addition, I needed to get some family stuff that was being stored in my closet (it shouldn't, naturally.) When all was said and done, I had a space right next to my Chi wallscroll to set up one of my folding tables and to set the computer up underneath it. (Needed for this computer because the anime one uses the TV as its display.)
Bringing that computer back up was important. It contains all of my comic save files, my RPGMaker2000 game, various MP3s I hadn't moved off of the computer, and more. (Z, I recovered the Sonic Adventure 1 MP3s that I like! smile ) In addition, making another PC work again is great. It'll allow me to do Diablo 2 trading without having to rely on my brothers.
Since the messy boxes were right next to the TV, cleaning them up also allowed me to set up my other folding table such that the anime computer's mouse and keyboard now have a semi-permanent home. This means most of the table is unused and is perfect for a bigger computer center. Including the fact that, previously, I only had an Apple laptop to use while watching anime, you should realize that I'll be able to do many of the things I usually do while watching anime. I might even be able to guggggggggvh bbbbbb (sorry, something was stuck between the b and v keys that was starting to piss me off.) Oh yeah, I might be able to use my PC programs to start working on things I normally wouldn't while watching anime. Tool-assisted speedruns, image-editting, etc.
So, is that computer running? Pretty much, yes. I mean, I'm using it to post this. I've been able to recover most of the data, too. Now the only problem is... why does it occasionally reboot? Is the memory bad? Or is it one of the SCSI disks?
Anyways, another high point is that today I managed to get a new DS Lite. You might recall that my old one sometimes shuts off when you press the A or X button? Anyways, that one's probably still under Nintendo's warranty, but I think one of my brothers can simply do the work of getting that one replaced. (If so, he can keep it. Free DS Lite for him! But he'll have no games yet...)
<.<
>.>
(Also, I got a DS Lite for one of my brothers, too. His birthday is this saturday, and he only has a normal DS, which is cool, but we both like the DS Lite more. I'll pick up the new Castlevania game for him, too.)
As for the games I got a couple today, but right now I'm playing Surge: Hive. Interesting. Reminds me of Metroid Fusion in a way, but it's play from what I believe is called an isometric perspective? Ah well. I need to watch a couple of episodes of Black Cat before going to bed...

The ones I know are still around: -Gigafrost (my anime computer) -Erk (the computer I brought back up) -EmmittR (a computer I still need to move into my room) -My work laptop -Replysys (our Domain Name Server) -Bigred (our webserver) -George's computer 1 -George's computer 2 -David's computer 1 -David's computer 2 -David's laptop -Mom's desktop -Mom's laptop -Joe's computer -Dad's downstairs computer 1 -Dad's downstairs computer 2 -Dad's upstairs computer -KitchenPC (Mom might have another laptop? Joe might have another computer? Dad might have a laptop and another couple of unused / experimental computers. W3 might still be around?)

There's still that computer over near where you used to have yours (though I think that one's largely unused).

I think it becomes really funny when you stop using the traditional definition of computers and start including general-purpose computational devices. (IE, cell phones, PDAs, gaming consoles...)
