OK well i was telling my friend about how i meditated and had a vision of being a wolf and he said to me " wo! when you said that i got a vision of a wolf running through a corn field, with the bright sun shining". That was exactly my vision he'd described except he said he was running alongside the wolf and i was the wolf. Do you think he had a vision of some kind of otherkin he could be?

More likely he picked the image up from you telepathically, either through his ability, or by your sending it.

Did you actually tell him the details about the vision you had prior to him having a similar vision? Cause there's an indication there that he's shullbiting you.

no he described my vision with perfect detail before i'd described it all at. He was seeing it almost exactly the same except i am the wolf running and he is watching me.

*shrug*
Could be he's empathic, or could be he just knows you really well, and the image suggested itself. I personally think neither of you are otherkin of any kind - visions like that I find are usually an indicator of totem or spirit guide. But that's me. I don't know either of you, and the vision was yours, not mine.
