Would you Adam & Eve it?

Courtesy of an old uni friend of mine, the following link came to my attention:

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3337194/-/Product.html?searchstring=cities+gold&searchsource=1

Now, it's not available yet, but I can't see Play.com listing anything unless it knew something was in the pipeline. They put up something similar as a placeholder for the new Harry Potter book and for the Star Wars original edition DVDs.

There's a dilemma for me - do I actually want the English, or shall I stick with the original language version? Decisions, decisions.

Anyhow, I figure a few of you will be leaping around for this news - I know I was.

I should have bought the French edition years ago...

Can't speak for this specific series, but original language is almost always better.

Well, they've found the condor and got it working. Mendoza is still scheming and Zia distrusts him, while Esteban still likes him.

I've seen documentaries on Machu Pichu, Patagonia, the Straits of Magellan, Cuzco, Lake Titicaca, the Galapagos, Incan rituals & customs, condors and that lake that they thought was lined with gold.

I've found that I can whistle any given part of the background music, thanks to the CDs I had and, contrary to the fears of a friend of mine, listening to the CDs loads does not make the music lose its appeal in context.

One of the best €15 I've ever spent biggrin

EDIT: And it's also proven that a) French DVDs are not a problem for PAL televisions and b) my French is good enough to cope without subtitles. So now I can consider picking up Asterix et Cleopatre and Asterix Contre Cesar, not to mention the many animated films - yay!

Interesting... I was going to go down the bootleg route, myself - and depending on the extras, I might still be tempted to.

After all, you've seen the quality of what I can dig up. smile

Ah, you'd feel guilty smile Stick it on your Christmas list, it can't end up being that expensive smile

Still, no news yet from Play.

I'm starting to like Mendoza better now, although he still has a habit of thinking about gold when he should be thinking of the child of the sun.

Interestingly, they've met a man who travels with a female companion and who calls himself the Doctor...
