Fall of Reason Vice Captain

Holden hadn't been in this world long and there was still a lot of things he needed to learn, but he knew one thing for sure and that was at this moment, he was in a lot of trouble.
Home had been boring today, Tristan decided on doing some much needed work on his newest reasearch paper and while Dmitri was suppose to be watching him, he had fallen asleep. The only thing left was Hamlet, his puppy.
This was all well and good, Holden loved Hamlet and playing with him was always a blast. But there was limited room in the apartment. This was all made better by the fact that Tristan didn't seem to know the purpose of a door and always left it unlocked and sometimes open. It was easy to get out.
The puppy and boy got to the garden and played there for a bit, it was about ten times better then in the apartment, but Hamlet was a puppy with a little attention span and while Holden had his attention on some of the plants, the puppy saw a bird and ran off.
Now Holden was left, standing in the garden alone and lonely. He had not only lost the puppy but he himself didn't quite know where he was. Looking around confused, he did the only thing a child would do in this situation, he cried.

It was always fun when Evie went to class. Elisa would be left at home with Ivan, against her guardian’s free will of course, and Elisa would torture the poor man to no end. Normally, she would be shipped off to Grand Mama's, but she was vacationing or something. Elisa didn't care though. Grand Mama was fat, and she smelled. Elisa could not stand to be in the presence of that. Though, Grand Mama did bring her a lot of presents...That was definitely a plus. Elisa could deal with her.
Ivan, on the other hand, was a different story. He was always smelly and just...well...icky. Evie was always yelling at him to take a shower or to clean up after himself, which usually had the toddler giggling in the corner. It was funny when Uncle Ivan got in trouble with Evie, but Elisa totally didn't enjoy it. Of course not. It was just...funny, and Ivan was funny. That...and he was just really easy to influence.
It was a nice day so being cooped up inside was not Elisa's idea of fun, so she decided it would be best if Ivan escorted her out on a walk.
"Go for a walk." The toddler cooed as she tugged on the plaid flannel shirt of her uncle, who sat parked on the couch. His feet were up on the coffee table, which would result in more funny later.
"Oy...Not now..." The Brit groaned as he waved the child off. "We’ll walk later."
"No later. Now." Elisa demanded as her tiny foot stamped on the hardwood floors.
The response of the adult was simply to get up and open the door. "Walk."
Smirking, the toddler made her way towards the door and to freedom. When she finally got outside, Elisa toddled around observing the scenery and managed to find herself in the garden where she found a crying boy she never met before. He was cute and had a fluffy tail. Elisa wanted a fluffy tail...
Walking over, she cocked her head and peered at the boy. "Why you cry?"

When Elisa came up to him and spoke he stopped his crying. He didn't like crying in front of other people so he wiped his black rimmed eyes and instead just sniffled.
She was new, but then again had he met anyone on the compound, they would be new, Tristan and Holden didn't get out much. Usually he wouldn't say a word, always a little shy when he first met someone, but he was in need and maybe she could help.
It took him a second to figure out if he could explain simply by pointing and pantomime, but in the end he had to talk. "Puppy gone," he replyed, "lost."

So he had a puppy, and it was lost, eh? That was certainly a pity. Maybe she could help him. Elisa certainly had the time to do so and apparently had nothing but walking to do. She could help him all day since Evie would be gone most of it, and Ivan was just completely oblivious. He would eventually come look for her when he knew that Evie would be home any minute. That's the type of guy Ivan was. Blow things off until the last minute and then scramble to get it done. If only Evie knew the things Ivan did when she was gone, Elisa would be thoroughly enthused for the rest of her life.
"Elisa," she started by pointing at herself, "can help find." Ending her sentence with a nod, the red ringlets bounced up and down like a spring. "Elisa help who?"

"'olden" he replied, pointing at himself just like she did. He was rather bad with words that started with "h"s so it always came out 'olden' and 'amlet' when he spoke.
He had stopped sniffling by now. He had someone else with him which made him at least a little happier, he almost forgot that he too was lost. He pointed in the direction he had seen Hamlet run off in and started to walk hoping she would get the idea.

Cocking her red head to the side again, Elisa was completely baffled. Did this Olden just refuse her request to help and simply just ditch her? He certainly wasn't one to talk or explain things, but Elisa would not be made a fool of. No. He was getting her help whether he liked it or not.
Stomping in the direction that Holden had went off in, Elisa's pretty face was contorted into a pout. "What puppy's name, Olden?"
There. Elisa was helping him. Olden would not get rid of her this easily. She wasn't going anywhere until Ivan or Evie dragged her off. This pretty would be stuck with her.
Yes. Pretty. Olden was pretty.
Fluffy tail...

Holden thought for a moment. "'amlet," he said after a moment. Normally he would just point at the dog when he was trying to talk about him and if that failed, he would point at the book Tristan had shown him with the dog's name, but niether were here at the moment.
It was a lot harder to talk to her, he had to say more.

A frown playing across the small girl’s lips, Elisa didn't know how to go about this situation. The pretty only said so much, so it was making things a little difficult. Or maybe Elisa and her family just talked too much. That was definitely a possibly, but talking wasn't the right word. No. Yelling, and Elisa giggling. There was always something to talk about at her house.
"We call for Amlet?" Elisa asked with a c**k of her head. Thinking was hard, and she wasn't keen on thinking...not really at least. Being pretty meant you didn't have to think, right?
"Or...what Amlet look like? Pretty like Olden and Elisa?"

He nodded, vigorously at that. Yes calling would be a good idea, it seemed to work most of the time when Tristan did it.
As for the pretty, he wasn't sure about that. Pretty meant other things, like Tristan's shiny necklace, that was pretty and Uncle Dmitri said some of the girls on the tv were. Hamlet was a dog, he didn't think the word applied. But he and Hamlet did have something in common.
"'amlet, tail," he said pointing at his own tail, "brown, black" he went on trying to explain the colour of his dog.

Placing a pudgy finger to her lips, Elisa thought about this new revelation that was just uncovered. Amlet had a tail just like Olden! Now they were getting somewhere. Not only did they discover that Amlet had a tail, but he was also brown and black. This thoroughly excited the small girl.
Progress!
Maybe she could actually help Olden find his puppy now that she had a slight mental image in her mind. Olden but black and brown, that was Amlet image she had in her mind.
"Come!" the toddler demanded politely, making 'come hither' like gestures. "We call for Amlet!"

He nodded and moved closed to her like she asked him. He looked around for a moment hoping to get some sign of where the puppy might be, but seeing none, he decided that yes, calling would be the best bet.
"'AMLET!" he shouted at the top of his lungs which was suprisingly loud for a small child, one who didn't say much at that.

Alarmed, Elisa's gaze quickly darted over to the boy beside her. She never thought a noise that loud could come out of a boy that small. Sure, she was pretty loud when she screamed to get attention, but never this loud. It was...well alarming to her. Perhaps later, since now was not the time, she would challenge this Olden to a screaming contest. Then that would decide who the best and loudest screamer was.
She would so win, or at least she hoped she would. No. She would win, and no contest needed to decide that.
Shifting her thoughts aside, Elisa turned her attention back to what was most important. She had to help Olden find his puppy.
"AMLET!" She called, mirroring Holden. Waiting for a response, Elisa grew impatient and lunged forward to grab Holden's hand giving it a slight tug. "Look over here?"

Holden followed as he was pulled along by Elisa. She had called the puppy now, so he kept his mouth shut for a moment, maybe she would keep doing it for the both of them... even if he was louder. He would so beat her in a screaming contest.
Hamlet was actually pretty close by to the two children, occupying himself with something only a dog could find interesting on the ground. He heard his name, or more something pretty close to his name. His ears perked up and he went to check it out.maybe there would be some petting in it for him.

Continuing to tug Holden along, Elisa trudged forward frequently looking left to right almost like she was crossing the street when in actuality she was hoping she would spot a furry thing like Olden's tail. This was to much avail. Where could this Amlet seriously have gone? Were the two just in the garden when Amlet just suddenly disappeared? Actually, Elisa didn’t really know the whole story to begin with.
Maybe Amlet didn't want to be found...
That would be mean...and puppies were cute. They couldn't be mean but still...
Elisa decided she needed the whole story.
"How'd Amlet go?"

Holden frowned. More talking. Why did she like trying to make him talk so much? Holden didn't like talking, couldn't she understand that by his... well lack of talking? He scratched his chin, imitating what Tristan did when he thought as he tried to think of the best way to put it.
"Bored. Walk. Flower. Gone." he said taking a break between each word to try and do little hand motions to convey that he was bored, wnet on a walk got distracted by a flower and then Hamlet was gone.
