"I'm not turning into a dragon." Mereneth felt himself mumble as he reached out and plucked a leaf off a nearby branch, one which was shelding him lazily from the hot sun.
A snort ensued from his hood and he felt scrabbling as the three kittens fought to get out. Flash, a black kitten with a red streak down its back settled on his shoulder, letting his green eyes stare at his owner curiously. Mere, you've been awfully weird for days.
The other two male kittens plopped onto his lap. The white kitten, with a splotch over his eye, began to wash himself in a rather dignified way. He's right, you know. Ever since... He stopped, batting his paw against the reddish scales, which glowed rather eerily, that seemed to grow on the skin of his hand. All fell silent, until another spoke. Yeah. Splash meowed, agreeing as he bobbed his head up and down. You didn't 'ave to be mean ta your sis.
Mereneth sighed, leaning against the bark of the tree. True, he had snapped at Alora, and in his horror, he had flown away. And landed on this tree, which was a perfect place for musing, if it wasn't for them berating him.

Saga stumbled, pushing up the over-sized sunglasses that was perched on his nose. They kept sliding down, but they had helped to hide his blind white eye pretty well. So far, on his way from his house to the park, nobody had stared at him funny. Well, at least not at his mismatched eyes anymore; most now stared at his sunglasses.
He ought to get a new pair.
Sighing, he was too deep in thought and wasn't looking at where he was going. The sunglasses also blocked out most of the light, and he could not see well. One second, he was walking. The next second, his head had came into contact with a tree, causing quite a lot of impact. Now, Saga was sitting on the soft grass with a dumbfounded look on his face, like he didn't believe what was going on. Lifting up a hand, he rubbed the area of contact and muttered something under his breath.
The sunglasses lay on the grass next to him, and he quickly picked them up and placed them on again. He pushed them up to hide his eyes, and looked around to make sure that nobody had witnessed his silly act. The boy blushed slightly, and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"All right, I promise I'll apolo...whoa!" Guilt had overtaken the pyro, and he wanted them to know, so they would stop making him feel even more horrible about it. However, the tree suddenly shook as something, or was it someone, rammed into the trunk of the tree.
Patch seemed to be ruffled, but got make his calm disposition quickly. What was that? He meowed rather haughtily, and began continue washing himslef with a paw, smoothing back his fur until he was satisfied that it was neat. I dunno. Flash and the other kittens leaned forward to peer down as Mereneth parted the leafy foliage to see what had happened. With his snappy mood, he would have yelled down at the person, but he caught himself as he noticed a familiar dark-blue haired figure.
You know him?Flash asked. As Mereneth raised an eyebrow at the statement, he continued. Judging by your mood, you would have flared up. You know, you have a bad temper. The boy gave him a sheepish grin, and gathered the kittens up in his arms. "Well, let's go say hello." With a flap of his leathery wings, he landed down besides Saga. Patch and Splash landed neatly on all four paws as they jumped from his arms onto the shady part of the grass, Patch muttering something about a sudden change of behaviour as he curled his tail around himself haughtily and Splash trying not to laugh at his behaviour. Flash stayed on his shoulder, wanting to see this other Illusionary from Mereneth's view.
Flash meowed in greeting, cocking his head to stare at the boy."Hey Saga." The red-haired boy smiled, ruffling up his spiky hair, trying to relieve the tension he had. Immediately, it disappeared into a frown as he took in the other boy's appearance, "What's with the glasses?"

"Er... Well... Erm... I...." Saga stammered, blushing more than he was a minute ago. He had a feeling that Mere had saw his collision with the tree, or rather, know about it. He had also been caught wearing a pair of ridiculously large pair of sunglasses... When it's not even that bright outside! He swallowed a lump that had formed in his throat, and pulled his legs to near him to sit cross-legged.
Peering up at Mere through the dark shades, he took a quick look around before removing them. The world seemed much glaring all of a sudden, and he looked down again, blinking so that his eyes would adjust to the light. A few seconds later, he turned his attention to the older boy in front of him and brushed away his bangs to show his right eye, "Well... It's to cover up this..."
For the first time since they met just now, he noticed the kittens surrounding Mere. Tilting his head to a side, Saga stared at the one on his friend's shoulders, and gave a shy smile as he mused, "They're really cute..."

Mouth agape, Mereneth plopped down beside him on the grass, "What happened? Did somebody bully you?" Vaguely, he wondered if it was all his fault nowadays, and he was jinxing those around him. His mother was still moping around, preferring to be alone; he had just shouted at his sister and she had looked pretty upset; Aunt Lyll was so busy that he only saw flashes of her, and now this. Eyes narrowing, he declared, "If they did this...I'll...I'll punch them. And I can burn them too!" Right now, he did really feel like taking all his anger out on somebody, instead of snapping at people he cared about and hurting them instead.
The kittens scrambled to surround the boys. O' dear, tis looks pretty awful...Splash mused. Patch shot him a rather bored glare, Don't insult the boy, something probably happened to the poor kid. Flash twitched his whiskers. But he can't understand us, can he?
"I thank you for them, though their ego, especially Patch is going to blow up." Mereneth grinned, giving a soft 'ow' as the kitten swiped a paw at him, claws retracted. It knew he was joking.

Saga gasped, and shook his head so quickly that it looked like a blur of colors, "No, no! Nobody bullied me... It was due to an accident. Besides, it doesn't hurt anymore." He blinked his eyes, as if to prove his point, before he continued, "Anyway, my mum told me that fighting won't help much with bullies..."
He frowned, the word 'bullies' echoed in his mind. For a moment, he thought he had remembered something. However, that feeling was soon replaced by another feeling; the feeling people have when they had forgotten something of real importance... Pushing that emotion aside, he forced a smile, "If I help help, I'll go find you first."
For some reason, he felt frustrated and yet, upset at the same time. When Mere had spoke of fighting, Saga almost wanted to do the same - Just releasing his feelings through fighting. Yet, something in his mind nagged at him, telling him that those thoughts were wrong.
"Can they understand us?" He asked, trying to change the topic. The way the kitten had reacted was as if they knew what Mere was talking about. Saga reached out a hand and stroked one of the kittens, the one with a splotch over one eye, gently.

"No one?" Mereneth cocked an eyebrow towards Saga. "Really?" An accident...hmm...he did wonder how an eye could be blinded through an accident. Still, he decided not to probe, since the other Illusionary seemed rather sensitive on the topic.
"It can keep them away though." He shrugged lightly, even though he hadn't exactly proven this yet. It seemed logical however, that they would be scared after being beaten up. Besides, he was rather confident of his own abilities. "That's good." He gave a reassuring smile to Saga, to show that he supported his friend.
I told you! Flash exclaimed triumphantly, waving his tail in the air. Yeah, yeah. Don't be complacent. Patch sniffed haughtily, purring as Saga stroked him. Complacent? Us? His two other siblings chorused as they rolled around on the grass, tickled at the irony of his comment. Mereneth snickered, "Yeah, they can. I seem to be able to understand them too though."
