What Players Are:
Children selected by gods of ancient times to act as their prophets

What Players Are Not. (AKA: Do not create a character with the following traits. I will not stamp them.)

--All powerful. Your character is a child. They do not have all their powers at the start of the game, and certainly not their more powerful ones. (For Example: Little Susie is a godling of Aphrodite. She can, at the start of the game, influence people to like her more, but she cannot make them have sex with her.)

--Based on modern fictional works (subject to consideration). With the exception of Cthulu, who has a real life functioning modern cult, we're not allowing gods who are created by modern authors, or as-interpreted by them. You can quest a godling of an Odin, but you can't quest for Mr. Wednesday. You cannot embellish the gods using traits given to them by the author's mythos if they differ from or contradict with the traditional portrayal (giving the god a specific personality doesn't count, so if you want to make Odin a sarcastic, womanizing b*****d go right ahead, but there's no such thing as "deadlights" in Aztec mythology.)

--Gods of death. Too many possibilities for Godmoding.

--Myths that are not dieties. (For example, no Hercules.)

--From other cities. From The City, the distance to the next city is about the distance from Washington DC to Toronto. There is little or no land travel, the cities are seperated by barren nuclear wasteland/desert, and your character probably does not have access to a plane or a boat. The trip cannot be made on foot.

--Teenagers. At the start of the game, all characters are between the ages of eight and thirteen. Exceptions may be made if you can make a really good case for it.

--Completely unrelated to their god. If your god is queen of rabbits and shoots rainbows out of her eyes, and your player is a gothic Lolita who sweats diamonds, we've got a problem.

--Past heroes reborn. Zeus's modern godling wouldn't be a reincarnation of Hercules. Fish isn't Perseus, and God's godling sure as hell wouldn't be the second coming of Jesus. According to the rules, godlings must be new souls, not reincarnations of the previous prophet of that god.
