Kai restlessly paced around his surroundings. His white mane, a bit messed up, from a constant shake of his head every now and than. He was getting tired of the same old scenery day after day. At first, he had become fascinated by the green grass, the pure water of the lake, the birds and the handsome sky.. But everywhere he went seemed to be the same. After a couple of days, he felt worse with each day that came. He was tempted to say, heck with the scenery!

But he definitely admired, if not loved the nights. The moon, he felt closely acquainted with.. Some might have called it ridiculous but the moon was a source of peace for him.

“Maybe I should take a bath..“ He pondered. His emerald green eye, with a piercing gaze at his surroundings.. He scanned his surroundings. Once satisfied that he was alone, He stepped into the cool stream that reached up to his hooves. Within minutes, he had moved over to the deep end until his fur was thoroughly soaked before getting out. His mane, that dripped over his eyes, might have gave off a dangerous look, as his friend Kail called it.

With a bit of a groan, he still remembered Kail’s comment clearly.. That if Kai was not a guy, and if Kail had not a preference for girls, He would be after Kai himself. He had thrown off the remark casually but he was still a bit disturbed by the comment. He didn’t think of himself as good-looking, much less handsome. He simply had too white a coat.

Too pre-occupied with his thoughts, and distracted, he didn't notice the soquili nearby.

EDIT: Ohkaaay. It's a moonlight night. <3

Moonlight illuminated the golden sand beneath Sanuye's hooves as she walked along the beach. She looked out over the horizon at the glittering waters and felt calmed by the constant wash of noise. She was a Soquili born to the sunrise, but also one who knew how to enjoy the night.

Her mane and tail whipped freely behind her, the wind bringing small tears to her eyes from the cold. Playfully, she began to canter in the shallow water as the waves crashed upon the shore. She breathed deeply of the crisp night air and let out a whiny of sheer pleasure.

Before she knew it, she had cantered away from the shoreline and had followed a small stream that fed into large body of water. Soon the golden sand was replaced by luscious greens of foliage and trees. Her hooves clacked over the rocks and rubble on the river bed as she noisily made her way upstream. Water flew around her in a frenzied wave.

Sanuye had been so intent upon her run that she hadn't had time to see the white stallion who had just gotten out of the water. The river had turned to a stream no wider than ten feet across and she knew if she was unable tos low down both Soquili would be toppling over in no time.

Hopping a little from her excursion to stop, Sanuye accidentally sent more water flying at the stallion. Her hide was soaked and her hair clung tot he sides of her neck. She grinned up sheepishly at the stranger.

"I be real sorry 'bout tha'. I did no mean te come barrelin' down on ye."

A bit surprised at the strange mare that had come adruptedly down from the stream.. He recovered quite quickly. "Oh no. it was nothing. Don't worry about it." As he let the water drip from his body, His fur sleek and shiny. He was about to shake off his mane and body, but he found that he didn't want to do such a vulgar act in a mare's company. "I don't mind being bothered by such a beautiful mare like you." He said flirtatiously.

"But one has to wonder why a mare like you would unaccompanied, at this time. It's quite late you know. And than there are those soquilis, that you should watch out for." He said, as the moonlight illuminated them both. Most mares he had encountered these days had been accompanied by another, a lot of the time, it had been their mates. Hardly, he came across a mare by herself. ".. like me.." he whispered softly.

His tail swishing from side to side, He cocked his head curiously at the mare. She blended in perfectly with the night almost. Her black coat blended in almost perfectly, if not for the almost-glow-like marks on her coat. In truth, he was a bit fascinated about her appearance.

[ Kai is a bit of a flirt. I'm not mating him yet, but it's fun. n3n~ Kind of like.. Takes his pleasures where he finds them? XD ]

((Well, if you change your mind about mating him PLEASE let me know, lol.))

Not worried about keeping up appearances or propriety, Sanuye shook off her body and mane and sent water flying everywhere.
"Aye, now tha' is better." There wasn't any sunlight to dry off the excess water, but the cool breeze blowing against her wet hide felt good. Sanuye could feel herself blush at his compliment on her beauty. "Och, beauty is always in the eye o' the beholder."

The mare trotted the rest of the way out o the stream, shook herself one more time and sighed contentedly at the feel of the soft earth beneath her. "I'm almost always alone. I do no' mind it, and I can look after meself. I'll no' be needin' anyone lookin' after me. I'm no' a filly anymore." He would probably be able to tell by her tone of voice that even if she didn't realize it at the time, he had ever so slightly bruised her pride. Sanuye was not a mare to be coddled and treated as if she were fragile. "Although," she paused, her demeanor becoming softer and more gentle, "I ken what ye mean about those other Soquilis, the Kalona. I've ne'er met one o' them afore and I'd like to keep it that way."

As she looked at the stallion, she couldn't help but be slightly in awe of his beautiful coat. She was gazing at the myriad of swirls on his hind when she realized she was staring, and would have blushed if she could have.

"Och, forgive me. Where are my manners? My name is Sanuye."

Slightly backing away from the water spraying everywhere, He gave of a little laugh. A soquili who didn't seem to mind appearances, it seemed.. "And the beholder says your pretty." As he gave her a grin in reply. Being wet, and the fact it was night time.. Kai could fear the air growing a little cold. But it was nothing Kai couldn't bear.

As he watched the mare enjoy herself in the stream, he held back an amused smile.. His head was slightly tilted to the side, and his tail swished back and forth as he watched the mare curiously. Most mares he knew these days refrain themselves from such activities to appear composed and elegant. It was a bit refreshing watching the mare actually. His green eyes laughing, he chuckled at the sight.

As she spoke though, He felt surprise at the tone of her voice. His mane shook slightly in the wind, but he didn't seem to have noticed. Although he did notice the mare especially. She looked like her pride had taken a hit from the question that he had so carelessly asked. "Forgive me if I've offended you with my carelessness." He said, his voice apologetic. "But it does get dangerous with those Kalona around.. And others." He said, thoughtfully.

"Anyways, I must be very rude." As he gave her a bow, unaware of her staring at him for a few moments. "It's a pleasure to meet you Sanuye.. my name is Kai." He said. "Although I must say, it's a bit cold out here. So I must ask, if you are all right..?" As he gestured to her wet coat. "If your feeling cold, I'd be happy to accompany you to shelter." he said, with a strange smile.

[Sure thing! heart ]

Sanuye gazed at Kai through her braided wet hair and smiled. He thought she was cute. Pleased with the turn of events, Sanuye flipped her mane one last time behind her and walked a little closer to the stallion.

"The pleasure is all mine." she said huskily, suprised at her tone. Usually she wasn't as flirty as this. She had seen his reaction to her accent and sighed mentally. She had yet to come across any other Soquili like her, and she was beginning to doubt if she ever would. Pushing aside the moment of slight bitterness, Sanuye turned her sparkling smile towards him.

"Kai," she sail, rolling the name around in her mouth as if testing it out. "I like tha' name. It suits ye." Sanuye shivered as a particularly strong breeze passed by the pair.

"Aye, I may no' be tha' cold now, but I can tell it will no' be a picnic in a few minutes. Do ye ken of a guid place to stay for now?"

((ken=know, guid=good and if there are any more words that you're not sure of let me know))

"It could be so much more than pleasure." He whispered into the mare's ear brushing his maw slightly across her cheek. This mare was a greatly entertaining one.. If fate allowed, they would become very good friends. it didn't help though, when her flirtacious words and voice implied more than just a little excitement that friends could have. He wondered if he could term this definition as lust? Maybe.

But seeing as how she had complimented him.. It was only right that he'd reply although he rather rpefer a different activity. "I don't think I was named very wisely by my mother.. But it's always a pleasure to hear when someone's names suit themsleves." As he gave her a knowing smile leading them onto a path that would directly lead them to a forest. He only knew of this path only a few hours ago. He had found it when he had been wandering around. "Sanuye.." As he whispered the name. It fit her quite nicely.. But he wouldn't admit that, seeing as how she just complimented him with the very same compliment that it would seem ridiculous if he said the very same thing.

"And I may know a place that will accomodate all of our needs." he said lightly, as he fell into step with Sanuye. Her frame surprised him. She was just a head shorter than himself.. But as he stared at her intently for a moment.. He could not help but wonder why another Stallion would have her a mate by now..

But Kai knew much better than to dwelve into another person's past, when he especially didn't allow his past to be acknowledged.

Sanuye felt all the blood in her body rushing to her head from Kai's comment. For a moment she found it hard to breath and could have sworn she'd left solid ground for a few moments. With a slight shake of the head she cleared her mind and regained focused. Best not to let the stallion know what his words did to her heart rate. However, she couldn't help but nuzzle against his maw when it slid across her cheek. She closed her eyes for a moment and was baffled at the strong emotions she was feeling for a ... stranger, essentially.

All of our needs ... Without permission, her mind began to run scenarios of just what those needs could entail, but took a deep breath and swished her braided tail to try and keep her mind in the present. He was making this very, very difficult.

"I've no' been here afore," she remarked, finally looking around to take in the unfamiliar foliage. "It's aye bonny though. Do ye live around here then?"

"No, Not really." He admitted. "I don't live in such areas like this. I would miss society far too much, in that case if I did live here." In truth, he was a very sociable soquili, and society was a main part of his life. But he could understand why others lived in solitude.. He once did as well. But with a smooth change of subject, "Do you live in such areas?" He asked her with a curious nod of the head. But while he chatted with Sanuye, he led her onto a path that seemed to continue on endlessly.

She was probably wondering where he was leading her to.. or what she was being led into. But he was not a kind to take advantage of innocents. But he thought, they could both enjoy a small game. Hopefully the outcome would come out positive. But roughly, he pushed those thoughts out of his mind once he came to a clearing.

It was an area widely inhabited by wild creatures, with all different sort of fruits almost everywhere. In the middle however laid, a small pond of crystal clear water.. In the daytime, it was a nice sight but in the night time.. One could see the fireflies flickering above the water, and in the air. They were everywhere. Even he enjoyed the sight.. And Sanuye seemed like one that would, but one could never be sure.

"So.. What do you think?" He murmured the question softly. One could see a few animal scattering about. "I told it would take care of our needs.. Food and water.. And a good sheltered area." he said lightly. "But mainly, my eyes.” He joked. But it was truly a work of nature. Hopefully, many other soquilis would not stumble upon it, or it would be croweded crazy as hell. Honestly, he considered it a private area of his.

But he found it no fun, if he kept it to himself~
